Went here on a Sunday for the breakfast buffet. It is $ 9.95 for adults and $ 5.95 for kids under 12. This is a Cuban place so you are getting a Cuban breakfast. No biscuits and gravy here. Café con leche and tostada is included in your price. They have quite a variety at the buffet. Fried eggs, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with onion, tomato and green pepper, white rice, picadillo, pasteries, fruit, croquetas, fritas, pancakes and French toast. Oh and some cereal. The orange juice was rancid but once I told the waitress they switched it out right away. They also have a live one man band playing music which was nice unexpected touch. Oh the flan and arroz con leche here were pretty delicious also.

I go frequently for their Colada’s and coffee which never disappoint. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I have been there a few times for the food,(ropa vieja, carne con papa etc) and haven’t been super impressed but will continue to try them out, and will definitly continue getting my coffee from them and only them.

Came in for a late breakfast around 1pm… It was great to know that they serve breakfast all day. The food and service was great! Great price and the mango juice was delicious. All around a great choice. Specially if you like breakfast late in the day. Service was great!

My experience at Munchies #2 was anything but good. The famous croquetas I have become a fan of were anything but good, soggy and undercooked. The natural cut fries that number 1 has perfected were replaced by frozen bag fries. And my sunny-side up egg was popped and cooked and placed on the plate. Service was good but food was subpar. Sticking with the original from now on

Had a delicious chicken milanesa today. Server was very attentive and did a great job. The owner also cams by a few times to see how the food and everything was. I love coming here during the week. It’s quiet and not too busy that you can’t hear yourself think or hold a conversation. Very enjoyable meal.

This place is the 1950’s Havana Tropicana cabaret transported to the western burbs. this is what the Trendy — Wynwood — restaurant du jour will be in 2046! I came to Munchies Café 2 for my uncle’s 21st Birthday, 49th Edition this past Friday night. I’ll admit when I first got the invite, I was a little surprised since the name has café in it. I was very pleasantly surprised when I got there, since it was a full restaurant with table service and live music. At first, it was just one gentleman with a keyboard and speaker setup. As the evening wore on, it was a full jam session of guaganco, bolero, cha-cha and other types of Cuban music my uncle talked about from his clubbing days. One thing I liked is how the musician would say a little bit about the song before playing. Apparently, they have the live music every Friday. The food was tasty classic Cuban. Our party had 4 dinner plates to choose from, besides thin cut crisp plantain chip(mariquitas) appetizer with a garlicky dipping sauce and Pico De gallo and generously buttered Cuban bread. My main course was a nice helping of moros(black beans and rice), sweet plantains(maduros) and a grilled piece of chicken with more Pico and grilled chopped onions. The Pico on the chicken was different than other Cuban restaurants and I liked it Other plates served for our party included the famous lechon and vaca frita(shredded beef). Service was very pleasant, and the owner came by to wish Tio Happy Birthday, and even got most of the restaurant serenading Happy Birthday en Español. It’s definitely a nice little Cuban spot for a tasty dinner. I can almost see a septugenarian Pitbull saying Dale here.

We eat here all the time while our kids are in dance. Silvana is an amazing waitress who remembers our preferences and has infinite patience with our children. The food is home style Cuban with generous portions. We have eaten everything from the grilled chicken, fish, and churrasco — but my favorite is the vaca frita. I also recommend the appetizer cheese and ham plate as a starter and the munchies appetizer.

I came here with high hopes and unfortunately I was disappointed. First of all the café con leche wasn’t filled how it was supposed to be or at least how one would expect. I understand it’s sometimes done to add the coffee to it however, one of the waitresses at the counter gave us the fifth degree when we asked for a little more. Then after waiting for about 45mins our food arrived cold. We spoke to the manager and she was beyond helpful, she is the best. She rectified the situation by having the kitchen make the food over. Alas when we received it the food was bland, and my husband’s steak tasted old. Even though the manager was great we won’t be returning.

After getting the café con leche the cup was half full. when we asked for some more we received attitude and multiple questions instead of what we asked for. then we received our breakfast super cold to the touch after almost 45 minutes of waiting. The manager was great in helping with the debacle but when I received my steak, it tasted horrible. like it was either old or had been sitting in its blood for a long period of time. I don’t think I will return.

The food is good, the service is good, and they are not expensive at all. I sometimes order ahead of time on my way home from work and they have it ready in about 15 minutes. It’s great for when I don’t want to cook. If you want a healthy meal, they have that too. I like to eat healthy during the week so I usually get pollo a la plancha with a side of salad and mixed vegetables.

Best croquettas in Miami! Their munchies are awesome, empanadas, pastelitos, all that is great. I go for breakfast regularly and I’m never disappointed. I wish the waitresses were better looking but I guess you can’t have it all.
