This place has really good good but their service is TERRIBLE. wow. I waited an HOUR for avocado and jalapeño rolls!!! That simple, no seafood nothing… Just two veggies. A whole 60 minutes. Our server refilled our water once. Our food didn’t even come out at the same time. This place is good if you have a lot of time. Otherwise I don’t recommend due to the terrible service.

Service is below average. Ordered a sushi roll that took more than an hour. They brought my friends roll out 20 mins prior to mine. Apparently, I decided to have dinner separately than her.

Rude, rude, rude… We walked in and no one was there to greet, asked a server if we could sit at a quiet corner and she says no, that’s for a bigger table and walks away without offering anything. Another guys approached and as we ask to be seated he points out to all the empty restaurant tables and says these are all reserved, only in the back. This is sake room not busy at all and how come all tables are reserved. Sounded funny. We walked out and they def lost local customers and I hope this review helps people to avoid investing in places that don’t even care…

Come see Juan, he’s the best server, very attentive, and knows how to deal with food allergies! The food is awesome, I can’t wait to come back for more very soon! See you here!

I think you guys get the point… The service is truly terrible. They really don’t greet you when you walk in and there’s no hostess table so you look lost trying to figure out where you’re suppose to go. No one offered to help either. Which is a shame because the food was really good. Especially the Weeds Roll! At least the waiters were easy on the eyes. Not ours; but the other ones. There was a dessert on the menu we really wanted to try but with the service we left.(Got our dessert at Publix instead). Try it; but take it to go!(And order before you get there!)

Excelent food and atmosphere, got there after 10 pm and the place was full but we managed to sit at bar. The variety of things in the menu is huge with very unusual rolls that wish you had space in the stomach to try them all.

WORSTSERVICEEVER. This was our third time dining at this restaurant, the first two experiences were just as terrible. However, it is within walking distance from our home so we find it convenient. We ordered water and a coke, this took 30 minutes to arrive. In the mean time the waiter never came to check on us. Forty minutes later a different waitress appears to take our order. Another 20 minutes went by and no sign of our food or waiter. Then suddenly our waiter appears to once again take our order. WTF??? We were so aggravated that we hadn’t received our appetizers or our food after waiting over an hour. These people are extremely disorganized and have not one clue about costumer service. Whoever is running this place is an absolute joke. We ended up getting up and going next door to eat. NEVERAGAIN.

2nd time here, love it even more now that I know you can do half and half on some rolls. The ones me and my boyfriend like were included in that bunch so it was great that we could do that. The sushi is great, best I’ve ever had. I love the Sayuri & Mandrake(I love everything sweet). My boyfriend got the black hawk & Madagascar and he loved them as well. Service isn’t as great and it sucks that the sushi bar actually has blocked visibility so you can’t see the chefs making the sushi. 4 stars because of that and service. A tad bit pricey too.

I loved the place, went there with a friend and the owner adviced us to get couple of signatures rolls: I had the weed one and it was fresch, cruncy and wort the price. Also the service was good!

Honestly everything was great. I saw a lot of reviews that said the service was bad but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Then again it’s Monday night and not a lot is going on. But my server was on top of it our food came out fast and the sushi was super fresh and delish.

Ok where do I start. I have never had such horrible service in my life. The best part of it all is that the person providing the horrible service was the owner herself. The lady practically cursed me out for asking question and proceeded to say«If I want a quick meal to go to a pasta place». I dont usually have bad things to say but I am appalled at how rude that lady Was. I will NEVER come back here again. Mind you the food was not bad but that lady is crazy. Waited an hour to be seated and and hour and a half for food. Ridiculous.

Although the sushi took forever to arrive, it was really good. Had the miami roll and it tasted fresh and filling. The staff was nice and friendly and helped passed by the time.

Snapshot: 4⁄5 Sushi Quality 2⁄5 Price Point, 1⁄5 Service This is my second visit and both times the rolls have been excellent but the service is lacking. Price wise, it’s average given its in Miami. There’s plenty of selections but they are missing a few staple rolls: Alaskan, Hawaii and philly.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this place. I’m very particular about my sushi I like it clean and taste need to retain the natural properties. No odors or weird textures. This place is nice I go there because food is excellent and service is fast. I’ve been a customer for a few years and have never encountered bad service. I love a good Venezuelan crowd. My top recommendations are hamachi jalapeño, gyosa/pork, crunchy crab cake and the caramelized Apple tempura. It’s great for a date or a nice conversation with friends and family. My only negatives about this place is the playlist I don’t enjoy pamdora. Bathrooms are a bit too dark but this will never stop me from visiting this place.

Met up with a coworker(which is amazing since we both happened to be in Miami!) for late lunch/dinner and HISBIRTHDAY. We both decided to start off with a glass of Sapporo, delish. He decided to go with the Pork Gyozas and I went with my favorite Asian appetizer, edemame. Both very delicious and salted/seasoned perfectly. I will always recommend edemame as your healthy appetizer choice! For our entrees, I went with the salmon/avocado roll and the Volcano roll(pictures shown below). The first roll was simple and delicious, definitely something light to enjoy if you do not want to eat much. But since i also skipped lunch that day, I decided to add on the Volcano roll, which was WAY more than I expected. Not only was it gigantic, but there was more topping on the sushi«ball» rather than inside of the roll itself. Let’s just say I over did it with the Volcano roll, and should’ve stuck with the salmon/avocado. My coworker went with the Pork Datsu Skewers with ginger salad. And honestly, I was jealous. Because it looked SOGOOD. All in all, this small restaurant along a very busy Downtown Miami street, it was a great place to get away and relax and enjoy delicious sushi.

Sake Room Sushi is one of my top sushi restaurants in town! I like a few blocks away and it’s been my sushi hidden gem for a few years now! The sushi fusion and assortment is so creative and delicious! No matter what roll I choose its always a burst of flavors on my buds: p My menu faves are: Crunchy crab salad Mandrake roll Temptation roll Hulk roll Black hawk Why didn’t I give 5 stars? Well… it’s because if you don’t ask for ginger or wasabi, they won’t bring it to you. Also, the table wait and seating arrangements can bea little tedious. Tip: I love the fact that u can order half rolls! This way u can pick two different rolls for practically the price of one: p

He venido varias veces y siempre he probado buenos platos. Recomendadisimo el tiger sashimi, es una especie de ceviche de pescado con un gran sabor y textura. Otro recomendado es el crunchy crab salad. Es pertinente hacer reserva los dias viernes en la noche pues se llena.

I very much enjoyed this downtown Miami restaurant. As a note, however, this is very much«fusion» japanese and sushi; not fusion in the«sushi but with thai or ____other asian cuisine» sense, but an actual attempt at creating a hybrid East-meets-West experience. Their Ichiban Tuna Ceviche salad(marinated tuna tartar with avocado) is great; they don’t call it this, but it’s basically Tuna Poke(which is something we’ve been missing since moving from So. Cal and is a bit rare here). The crispy crab salad we had was also delicious. As far as the sushi, the Lobster Roll with Curry Mayo was a standout, with a nicely balanced curry as an unusual, innovative touch. The Fried Calamari Riceless Roll was also tasty. While the Neptuno Salad was likewise good, it was a touch salty. Sake Room is run by an Venezuelan family with a passion for Japanese cuisine. It shows that they dedicated themselves to mastering the art. Yet they still bring some new thinking to the menu. The décor is likewise beautiful and upscale without being pretentious. It includes cushioned, low booths as well as a rustic communal table. Because we came with a big party, the owners likewise treated us to some complimentary appetizers that let us sample items that would have been too numerous to order. They were overall very concerned with our experience. For equal-time coverage, however, I must include the experience of a friend in our party. Although friendly, the service is inconsistent in terms of being efficient. One member received their entrée so far after everyone else that we were finishing by the time it arrived. Likewise, the women’s bathroom was broken, but the waitress insisted we just«couldn’t see the light» under the door and someone must be in there — but later admitted it was broken. This is strange behavior.
