I legitimately just walked out of this establishment with my father as we intended on a quick lunch before continuing with our work day. What could have easily been 20 minutes turned into an hour. I’m honestly appalled. One would be lead to believe we ordered half the menu, but no. There seemed to be a mixup on who our server was so naturally no one came up to us.(Seriously, what’s up with my luck?) We gave our entire order upon their arrival as we were on a time crunch. Ordered a pitcher of sangria– 15 minutes to hit the table. Appetizer of fried yuca another 10 minutes with ration sized garlic aioli.(Whaaaatzeeeeefack) but then my vegetarian and the espanol sandwiches took foooooooooorever. After our request to multiple servers failed on where our food could possibly be– we received it. Atleast it was warm. It was honestly so annoying and even more irritating was once the food was dropped off, I ask for the check to not have to wait another 30 minutes for it and it takes my server 10 seconds to come back and collect his money. Not cool and highly infuriating. So there’s my one star. Décor is great, food is decent, but service is lacking. You can tell these people don’t know what their doing and just riding the wave of their shift. I didn’t even have time for a cafecito goddamn it!

My father«Pinito» and I have been dining at Sergios since the early 80s. Today we frequent the Doral location every weekend and ask for a delightful server by the name of Samara. We’ve been coming for so long that she always knows whst we will order. Dad is 80 something and. can be pretty cranky, stubborn and hard tp please. Yet Sammy seems to be able to handle him fabulously. She is a keeper. Ask for her. She awesomw.

Came here for some lunch with friends after a long exam and I wasn’t disappointed. First Sergio’s I’ve been to and the food was very reasonably priced, I don’t usually stop by Cuban restaurants but this place felt authentic; the interior is comforting and beautiful, but you could also sit outside. They have a little bakery and even a drive through for those who want to make a quick stop. I recommend their tequeños and café con leche, as my friends had some and were loving it. Being completely starved and the steak lover I am, I ordered their churrasco with chimichurri not expecting much, knowing the restaurant was by no means a steakhouse. It was surprisingly great and was definitely a large portion compared to some other places. Will return!

Yesterday was my first time at this new location in Doral. Our waiter was Delightful and very quick to server us. They were very quick and all of the items I ordered were delicious. The manager Jessica is very friendly. I would really really come back!!!

I come to this location frequently for breakfast and dinner, but never had an issue until today. Our server was a bit rude and not very attentive. We never got bread at our table, which we always look forward to. Then we ordered a palomilla with the onions on the side, but that didn’t happen either. The yuca was hard and didn’t taste like mojito at all. The fries came cold and someone at our table had a sandwich, but the bread not very fresh. To top it off, we waited 20 minutes before the waiter reappeared to ask for our check. Love Sergios, but expected better.

This was the first Sergios I ever visited and I had a great experience, however this last time may just be my very last time because I was disappointed with their Sunday brunch service. I ordered a lechon asado, its what I always order and I was really excited for it. However, I waited over 45 minutes for it to arrive and I was starving by the time it came. As I waited patiently, I was given croquetas which came with a side of saltine crackers. I ate the crackers because I was starving and it seemed my food would never come. My diet coke took about 15 minutes to come at which point I was extremely parched from my crackers. All around us, people who had arrived after were receiving their meals… and I just watched. I believe my waiter’s name was Jeancarlos. When my food finally arrived, the lechon was quite cold and dry. Most of it was so hard I couldn’t even pierce it with a fork! I was stuffed off the edible portions, but I was disappointed that the rest went to waste. I do recommend the Pines location, which is closer to me anyway and much more service-friendly.

Average Cuban food nothing in this world. This place is a «Mata hambre» stop. We have eaten here several times and the food is consistently average. Service is also very erratic, most of the times slow. On our last visit we ordered soup and also some croquettes both items were never delivered. The waitress seem somewhat indifferent to the snafus as did the manager who came to offer us to croquettes when we’re ready to leave. Sadly in the Doral area it’s very hard to find a good Cuban restaurant. The place inside is very appealing even though it’s in the storage warehouse facility. Too bad the management doesn’t do a better job of improving the quality of the food and service. On the last visit my wife ordered the Porkchop special with apples and maple sauce and while it sound healing in the picture on a Groupon show it is very delicious, which she received was totally different. The Porkchop was very very thin and small. The palomilla take that one of my sons ordered was also strong and never taste as was the chicken vaca frita. I have also tried this location for breakfast several times and surprisingly what disappoints me most is there toast/tostada. It’s the only thing that kind of dampens the breakfast. On the positive they do have some nice beer specials especially the trio of beers you can order and taste along with some mimosas with creative fruit flavors that are quite good. Lastly I have had their croquetta preparada sandwich and it was pretty good. Also their window for coffee is pretty good when you want to just get a quick espresso. All in all of this I said before average restaurant.

Dear Management , I just gave this restaurant location one more try because«La carreta» was having delivery delays… I order 3 panes con bistec one with salad and one with french fries for my guest … And yet again I was let down because your driver got lost, made me go out looking for him, then I came to find that my order was missing a side order of french fries … I am fed up with your bad service!!! I am asking for a full refund and I hope someone contacts me regarding this because i cant get anyone to help me over the phone. I don’t want voucher I want my $ back!!!

Today we received the Arroz Imperial and maduros from Sergio’s Catering Menu. To say that the Arroz Imperial was good is an under statement, it has to be the best arroz imperial I and any of my coworkers have had. It was excellent! The maduros were awesome and the food got here perfectly in time. Miriam(the manager at Sergio’s) took care of us and made our lunch experience with Sergio’s a great one. We will continue to order Sergio’s like we always have. Keep up the good work!(: I’ll make sure to post a picture of my delicious arroz imperial!!!

Not bad at all. Not sure why the low reviews. Staff has always been very nice when I’ve come. They have a lot of good food. Prices could be a little better but Sergio’s is usually pricier. This is the best decorated Cuban restaurant I’ve been to.

Great place for breakfast! Prices are really reasonable, most of the breakfast options were below $ 10 which I really appreciate. Atmosphere was really good and casual but not cheap, big spatious place, a lot of staff, many many breakfast options with flexibility to choose or change things… I chose the south beach omelette and it was delicious and even though the portions are not super big I appreciated to have space to enjoy the cuban bread and the coffee(which was also really good). The only bad thing is that staff was a bit slow to take order and bring the check and we were in hurry, but it might be because the place was really full(sunday at 10:30).

Dear Sergio’s Doral: I want to love you. I want to love you so hard. But you keep making it an obstacle for me. This on and off relationship isn’t what I deserve. I’ve met Sergio’s like you. On point one day, so cold and distant the next. And I’m afraid I may not be able to do this anymore. I remember when we first met. I’ve always loved Sergio’s but have been so disappointed with others in the past that I’ve become hesitant. But you, you were different. You weren’t like the other Sergio’s. No, you were clean, and shiny and new. You always had fresh croquetas and if not you’d offer to make them. You catered to me. As new, shiny Sergio’s usually do in the beginning. But then you got comfortable. Things changed. You started trying less, making less of an effort. Your croquetas were no longer the freshest. Your wait staff became distant, brushing me off, chatting to other wait staff in the corners as if I wasn’t even there. As if I haven’t been here for you from the start. It hurts, Sergio’s. It hurts so much. I fear that our love will never be the same again. That you’ll never get back to the Sergio’s you were when we first met. But you’re convenient, you’re close to home, you have a drive thru… I mean how does one stay away? How do I stop making excuses for you? Please get it together.

We were contacted by Carlos G. regarding our bad experience. He generously sent us a gift card to try Sergios again. Last night we went directly to the restaurant and everything was delicious! I got the same thing as last time, pollo a la milnesa. The sangria was awesome! They really redeemed their selves!

Worst Sergio’s I have ever been to. I lived in Miami all my life and have been to many Sergio’s. My tostada came with cream cheese smoothed all in one pile. Number 1 since when does toast come with cream cheese!!! Number 2 if your going to throw it on their spread it out. On top of my horrible toast my croqueta comes with stale crackers every time I go. Horrible

I love coming here for any meal of the day. However, I usually come for breakfast. They recently expanded their breakfast options, and now they serve panther coffee. I love how they always try to better themsleves, by adding new items, instead of just serving the same options for ever. I like the décor of this place. They also have writings on the wall that say«I love cafecito», and«just like how my abuela made it». The menu itself is written in Spanish and english. Before you leave you have to try their cuban coffee. Servers seem to be nice. I usually have a postive experience. Today my server was extremely slow. I asked for the check 4 times through the pager and once in person, still 10 minutes had passed and nothing. I had to walk to the front counter to pay. I am a regular at this location, and I will continue to be. Because the food is excellent, and I like the atmosphere.

If you want a big dissapointment, then this is the place to come to. And its very unfortunate, cause the Sergios at kendall is really really good. My wife and i were in the doral area and saw the sergios restaurant and we thought it would be the same as good as the one in kendall, but it was very much far from it. The food was old, disggusting and super greassy. I felt as if i should go straight to the ER, after eating it. You know, just in case. Cause it was that bad. If i were a food critic, this place would have negative numbers in red. The tostones with shrimp sause, was like ordering rocks with a nasty whatever you can find in the kitchen sause. And my vaca frita… It was a free ticket to the hospital. Bottom line, i would never come back here to sergios at doral.

I wouldn’t normally leave a review but then again I have never found a bug in my sandwich until now. Loved Sergio’s but this situation completely changed my opinion. I ordered the skinny girl chicken flatbread and when a few tomatoes came out so did my little friend. When I called the manager refunded me the meal. Sergio’s you let me down :(.

Came here for business lunch today. The parking lot was packed during lunch hours, but luckily we were able to find a table for 4. My coworkers seemed to like their food because they order lunch from this place all the time. I looked over the menu and notice while they have a variety of side and entrees, they only have a limited options in lunch menu. We didn’t expect attentive service since we came during the busy lunch hour. Our waiter took our order fine, but we had to wait a while to get our drinks. And the food didn’t arrive as quickly as we anticipated. We were hoping to come in and out about an hour, but that wasn’t the case. One of my coworker ordered a club sandwich which seemed fine. And another ordered a Caesar salad. Again nothing fancy so the food wasn’t memorable. I ordered the lunch special Lechon Asado, which was the Roasted pork with onions and boiled yuca. It was severed in some kind of a small cast iron skillet. It might be a good idea except it was way too greasy. The pork was practically soaked in a dish of oil, which made it somewhat unappetizing. I will probably come back again and try something else since it was so close by my office. Hopefully I’ll know what to order next time.

Since Sergio’s Doral opened their doors more than a year ago, i welcomed the opening of this place, as regulary i went to the coral gables one, and it was a good option to go with the family and enjoy some cuban food and have a good moment in a casual environment. Food was of decent quality, and they have a light fare menu named«la flaca» with enough options to choose from. The decoration of the restaurant is nice and has some collectibles and mementos around the walls and hanged from the ceiling, that make the place more likeable. However, last 3 or 4 experiences with this place made me change my mind and decided not to come back to this location for a while, nor with my family or by myself. Ocassionaly i pass by their cafeteria for a cortadito, but i do not eat inside anymore. It appears that there was a change of management around four months ago or so, and the disorganization and lack of training the new personnel and poor attention is more than evident. I saw in more than one opportunity how the new waiters and waitresses, although demonstrating their best effort to serve their assigned tables, they seemed to always be running after the kitchen, weren’t able to consistently serve timely their guests, and there was this subpar level of professionalism their role requires. In my opinion, this could be more due to a lack of focus to follow the designed rules/policies/system(even the pagers are not working or are not being used peoperly), or might be related to a deficiency in the staff training or a weak link between the hiring and on boarding process. As a result, customer service is going to the floor and Ta negative tension/stress is felt in the environment from the moment the hostess engages you and during all the culinary experience. To aggravate this even more, i have the impression that the size of the orders was reduced too. Overall as a customer, i am kind of sad, because i had a good image of Sergio’s in the past, and this location sarted as a solid, nice and welcoming branch that was appealing to my family needs. I used to be there at least once every to weeks or even once a week. Hopefully they can improve in the future.
