Small but good. We went there last week and were impressed. Bought a few things including a wonderful peach pie. THe service was outstanding as well. The only thing I wish they would change is to be open earlier. But overall, very good.

This place surprised us! Coming from Boston, to have our wedding in my hometown, it was so tricky to find a place to do our wedding cake. Then, we found Uptown Cakery, and it was the best cake we’d tried yet! My husband and I aren’t even huge fans of cake, but it was delicious and both of our fathers were happy (they were the reason we got cake!)

Since there does not seem to be a really good bakery in Michigan City, Indana I stopped in at this bakery to try their peach pie and also got a peanut butter cookie. The pie was unremarkable as was the cookie. I realize that they are famous for their cakes so I will try a cupcake but so far I am disappointed.

Just the cutest little bakery in Michigan city! We had cake pops done for our wedding shower and they were a HUGE hit. Favorite for sure though are the cannoli cupcakes. To die for! Great place with super friendly staff and the yummiest treats!

I purchased a slice of carrot cake as dessert for my 5 Lb bean burrito lunch. It was the best piece of carrot cake I have ever tasted. A problem arose after I ate my lunch as I got quite gassy. I am not sure if it was the Carrot Cake or the 5 Lb bean burrito, but I could not stop passing gas. I will come to the Cakery again, but next time I will bring a large container of extra strength Gas-​X.
Other than the flatulence, I strongly recommend Uptown Cakery. FIVE STARS!

We ordered two pies last Thanksgiving which were both thoroughly enjoyed. The pecan pie was beyond amazing. I’d definitely order again. I’ve also tried a Berry pie, cupcakes, and a handful of other desserts. I have nothing bad to say. Uptown Cakery is wonderful!

This place is a great addition to Michigan City.
The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and just pleasantly nice. Their desserts are the best in the area. The cakes are delicious and you can have them customized to your liking. And believe me, they know how to decorate. We’ve had 2 cakes ordered from them and our guests loved them. We didn’t even mention or ask what they thought of them they just commented on their own. We will certainly order all of our cakes from them. We haven’t tried all their items yet, but we are certainly excited to try them and are delighted that they are here… hopefully for a long long time.
