Great for chicken wings with prk frd rice. This is probably the best Chinese fast food around the neighborhood. They also serve Thai dishes but I have only tried the green curry dish, I suggest sticking with Chinese side of the menu.

Green Leaf is pretty much the only good Chinese-American food option in all of Middle Village. It’s also the only Thai option in the area. That’s a big bonus for me. I come here quite often for take-out. The place is clean, the service is friendly and the food is very tasty. The Pad Nor Mai Asparagus(asparagus with shiitake mushroom in oyster sauce) is my favorite from the Thai side. The Thai options are a tad bit pricey, but it’s worth it. The above came in a huge portion with lots of bright green, tender asparagus and a delicious sauce. The only let down is the coconut rice. It’s not authentic at all! Just some regular fluffy white rice with coconut flavoring. Where’s the hunk of sticky, sweet coconut joy that I get elsewhere!!! Their Chinese side is reasonably priced, non-greasy and yum. The Vegetable Lo Mein came with a variety of vegetables which included fresh mushrooms. A plus in my book. Crisp and light spring rolls. Overall, a great menu. If you are in Middle Village and craving Chinese, Green Leaf is the only spot to hit! P. S. It’s also cash only!

I like this place. Its the only Thai place around, even though its not authentic Thai, I still like that fact that its so close.

Always ordered from here but I just called and specifically asked for a small chicken with broccoli and I also asked how much the pineapple shrimp fried rice would be and once she told me the price I said I did not want it. She then proceeded to tell me it’s only $ 10 and asked me why I won’t get it when I clearly do not have to explain myself to her I simply just wanted my order, not an attitude

I’ve only had their thai food and I’m giving them 4 stars mostly because they’re the only thai place around and their prices are good. They have great thai iced tea and their spicy sauce is incredible!!! I also feel like the people in here are always super nice.

They are around the block from my work and the food is great. Beyond that, they are super fast. Good be the pepped-up scooter they use to deliver. They don’t mess around. I just wish they gave me chopsticks with my order. I like to be fancy.

This restaurant is beautiful and clean. They have lunch special that are 5.72 everyday till 3:00 and they come with pork fried rice or white rice, soup or soda. They are a take out restaurant but they have like 16 chairs and 4 tables. They have a A. They have both Thai and Chinese food and all the Chinese food are cheap. Love this restaurant plus if you are in a rush, go in and they have a parking lot! The food is wonderful too.

I finally found a good Thai place close to where I live! Delivery was super fast. Maybe 10min. Green Thai curry is really good. They put green and red peppers in it and it’s sliced thin. They put eggplant in it as well as fresh chicken. I really like how they make the eggplant. The coconut soup from the lunch menu is really good too. Exactly what I wanted. Delivery guy was nice n so was the person taking the orders on the phone. Very fast and efficient. Glad I discovered this place

This restaurant has very good food. It’s reasonably priced, and the portions are large. That’s where the positive ends. The ambience is poor, to say the least, if you’re eating there. But the part that really gets me is the surliness of their delivery person. He’s like a selective mute, i.e., he refuses to communicate. Tonight was the final straw. I have a long fuse, but dealing with him over an 18 month period is more than anyone could stand. Tips seem to make absolutely no difference to him, and his social skills are less than zero. I called up to complain, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering from them anytime soon. This is Queens, and there’s plenty of ethnic cooking a mere stone’s throw away.

Pros: Always Hot, Fresher than most Chinese Food restaurants, Spare Ribs A+ Cons: Inconsistent: Chicken Teriyaki was great one time, second time had no sauce and a strange Cardamom dry rub on it. And, they’re always 1 fortune cookie short no matter what

Of the 300+ times my family has eaten here since they opened up on our block I’ve noticed one thing I really don’t like: child labor. I live here on the corner with them since they opened and they have a 10 year old girl ad 12 year old boy who takes all the orders and takes your payment. 5DAYS A WEEK. Not right. Especially when I can’t understand The kid, they hang up on you, the answer the phone and don’t say where you’re calling, just«hello?» Not right. Parents should be ashamed — the kids are stuck there all day every day working full time. This is illegal and awkward for the neghborhood. Nor are the kids trained or knowledgable on the menu at all. Theyre just kids!!!

Favorite take-out place in Middle Vilage Both Chinese and Thai menus are good. Not great, but good. Their Thai menu is a bit better I would say. Pineapple fried rice is awesome and comes in huge portions, it took me two days to finish all of it. Fried banana dessert is about as good of a dessert as youre gonna get in a takeout place, definitely recommend. From Chinese Menu, I recommend the Egg Drop Soup as well as the Pork Fried Rice. Their green curry is a bit too coconut-y for me, although if you’re a big fan of coconut you would like it.

One of my local Chinese places. I never have tried the Thai half of the restaurant so this will only be about the Chinese food. This is your usual place. I come here a couple of times a week for their lunch specials. Usual food but some things that stick out are: General Tsao’s chicken Chicken/Shrimp lo mein Chicken/Shrimp with garlic sauce Steamed dumplings(any variety) Nice staff and quickly cooked. I do recommend. And lighting fast delivery! Where I live is about 6 minutes away by car and they get here fast!!! Well done!

This is one of my neighborhood Chinese takeout places. They have several tables that can seat maybe 20 people; which is big compare to most«takeout/eat in» place. Their lunch specials(45 items) is a good bargain and is served seven days a week; not like some place which only have lunch specials 5 days a week. Good lunch special I have tried: Chicken Lo Mein Pepper chicken with tomatoes Chicken with mushroom All good basic dishes.

I love Thai food and was really excited to find they opened a place right here in the neighborhood. I’m not sure if it was a bad batch but overall I didn’t like it very much at all. The coconut chicken soup was very greasy and had only two little pieces of chicken in it. I also ordered the chicken, shrimp coconut noodle for an entrée and I literally had a few bites and that’s about all I can do. It didn’t even smell appetizing! I had amazing Thai food just a few weeks back at SriPraPhai in woodside and the food there was out of this world. Better to go just a little out of ur way for much better food.

I found a Green Leaf menu in my mail box. I took a good look at it, and then went to Unilocal.Green Leaf had less than five reviews, and one out of the five was not a review on their Thai food. In any event, even though I am skeptical of Thai food in Middle Village, I wanted to try it. I figured, if I really enjoy it, it would be nice to have a Thai place in this area. It’s UN precedent. For my first order, I got a delivery of Thai Tea, Tofu Pineapple/Coconut rice, and good ol’ friend banana’s. I’ve never had a bad Thai Tea. They offered a generous portion of rice. Their pineapple rice was good. It wasn’t amazing, but it was good. In fact everything was good. I will always like fried banana’s. I know it’s very common, but I like it. I especially like friend banana’s, when it’s like a fried spring roll banana. Green Leaf, just fried the banana, but it was still good. Everything was neatly packaged. About a week after my first order, I had my grandmother visit with me. I made another order for Green Leaf. This time, I picked up the food in person. I wanted to check out the place. It’s on the south side of Metro. The place looked brand new and really clean. I can’t say if there was another business in place before Green Leaf opened. Anyway, I order Pad See Ew with Tofu. I was really disappointed with it. I didn’t finish it, mainly because I did not like it. There was a few chunks of fried tofu, and that was tasty. I was disappointed with the noodles in the dish. I know the dish calls for thick flat noodles, and I’ve always liked the dish. But, at Green Leaf it tasted like Chinese Chow Fun. It did not remind me of Pad See Ew. So, I’ve had two meals. One I enjoyed, one I disliked. That’s breaks even, right? But, I also liked their tea and dessert., so we are at 3 stars. I am not going to rush back here. But, if I do come here, I know what to stay away from.
