Been ordering delivery from this restaurant a few times already & a while ago got a chance to go with my boyfriend. The place is small & cozy. Lots of decorations that makes it look like bohemian style. When we came in we got seated fast. We dicided to order appetizer: calamari– fried breaded squid. Main dish: My bf got beef basil noodles– its a flat noodle with beef & some thai sauce. I ordered beef salad– grilled beef with cucumber, lettuce & some spicy sauce. For drinks we got thai iced tea. I love the texture of the calamari. Its not so soft & not so hard. The breaded that they put taste really good too & the sauce on the side to use for dipping. I tried the food of my bf & its perfect. Its spicy but good amount of spice that you’ll enjoy everything. Mine is yummy too! If you love spice & those soy sauce that they use then you’ll love mine. It has grilled beef & perfect match with cucumbers, onions & lettuce! Yumm! By the way the owner is nice & very welcoming. Great food & service! For sure coming back for more!

Delicious food and delightful staff members. The staff members were super friendly to my family. Food was delicious and smelled wonderful when they were preparing our food. I couldn’t keep my eyes off the décor of flower made money and little trinket and knickknacks around the restaurant. Food was yummy and you should stop by to try their menu items. Thanks for the lovely food!

Delivery is always quick. Love the chicken basil and the thai tea. Spring rolls are also good but the sauce is a little watery.

Great local place! I was really surprised with how good the food was. I had the Pad Kee Mow, which was amazing! On the menu they advertised it was spicy, I disagree, it was just fine. This place is really small, I recommend just getting take out especially if you live in the area. But the setting is very cute! Lots of dim lights that makes it more romantic. Overall, great local spot and I will be back to get more Pad Kee Mow!

I’m typing this as I eat my(spicy) chicken pad Thai from here! This is my first time trying this place out. I came in around 7:40pm and was out the door with my order within 10 minutes! As I was waiting, I saw a large Thai family eating in, so I’m thinking the food must be quite authentic & tasty. I also saw a older lady in the kitchen making food, possibly a family business with family recipes. The veggie pad Thai isn’t as good as the chicken for some reason, also I also asked for«little spicy» for both, but the veggie one is much spicier! I had to get some yogurt to calm my tastebuds down! I’m disappointed in the veggie pad thai, the vegetables(carrots, broccoli, cabbage, & green string beans) seem too crisp, they weren’t cooked long enough– still had a raw taste to them. It seems like the food isn’t consistent, which is a bummer because I really enjoyed the chicken pad Thai but 2⁄3rd of the veggie pad Thai went to the trash. The prices are decent though, but I don’t think I will be a regular here.

What great food and gracious staff. Had the garlic eggplant with crispy pork and basil fried rice. Both excellent. I always order fried rice. It’s a good test of how authentic a Thai restaurant is. This place did not disappoint. Rice was tender and crispy with fresh veggies and just enough heat. Garlic eggplant was hot and tasty. Order it mild if you can’t take the heat. Ours was medium. But scorching. Just like I want it. Hehehe

Tommy Thai is one hidden gem in Elmhurst, Queens for delicious Thai cuisine. First impression I had was a great cozy atmosphere. Staff were very friendly. For dinner, I ordered Golden Calamari. It was fried just right and it was not chewy. For entrée, I ordered the Pad See Euw with chicken. The noodles were warm. A great big portion for an entrée which is a big plus. Definitely coming back for more.

I love tommy Thai! I’m so glad they opened a Thai place in the neighborhood, I was hesitant to try it at first but so glad I did ! Their pad Thai is really delicious and everything is affordable in my opinion. It’s a good place if your not looking to dress up and want to go out for dinner.

For a local spot, I actually really enjoy their food. The soup that is offered with the lunch special was surprisingly well made compared to many other restaurant’s complimentary soups that occasionally comes with lunch specials. It was loaded with fresh cubed tofu. Recommended if you want a healthier alternative from soda — or just something warm for the cold seasons. I often get the Pad Thai with tofu(I like tofu, can you tell?) and many people would probably say it’s average but I personally enjoy it more than some spots. I like to order peanut sauce on the side to mix into my pad thai for some extra flavor and request for it to be mildly spicy, but it is still good as it is! The decoration is quite strange, many random stuff here and there(that santa claus pikachu though lol). The place is rather small as well. So far I’ve only order for take out, so I am unsure of the experience on dining there just yet.

Only have gotten take out from this place. Always quick. I’ve only tried the spicy basil fried rice, pad see ew, panang and green curries. Nothing super amazing but no complaints. Your standard average Thai food. $ 10 minimum for credit card.

I had lunch here today and everything was pretty yummy. The tom yum soup was really good and perfect for the rainy weather and I also loved the fact that they were very knowledgeable about food allergies. My pad thai with beef was very good and my partner loved his red curry. I also liked the weird décor, and the service was very nice. I will definitely go back when I am in the area.

Tommy Thai is my go-to in the neighborhood! They have very big potions at affordable prices. I try a different dish every time I go(I’ve been here 6 – 7 times) and everything has been on-point and delicious. Service is great — polite and knowledgeable. My favorites are the Mussel appetizers and and Basil with Beef. But really, I like them all.

I came here when they just opened the restaurant for a few days with a group of friends. Not impressed at the time maybe different chef or my friend just sucked at ordering. Make another try since my friend said they’ve changed. Well they did not disappoint me. Now they got new games in their food. Not too outstanding but decent. Service was great. Unique decorations. However, delivery was bad boooooo! I was so excited. Food had no flavor both dishes of me and my bf’s. Not recommended for delivery.

Delicious Thai cusines! Already I have visited Tommy Thai over a dizen because they are new, their food is very good, and it is near my home! I also don’t have the to deal with the crowded Thai restaurants in along«Thai-town»(Elmhurst on Broadway and Woodside Ave.) as so named by my Thai friends. Their décor is a collect is collectibles someone would have when they go vacationing in Thai. Food 4⁄5 Service 4⁄5 Restroom 4⁄5

I stumbled upon this place looking for somewhere to have an early dinner. My husband ordered the chicken pad Thai, I ordered the shrimp pad see ew, and curry puffs. We both also ordered Thai iced tea, which we thought to be on the weak side so we wouldn’t order it again. I thought both dishes tasted great. My husband’s pad Thai had a nice sear on the chicken and noodles, and it was savory, which I loved. Some pad Thai dishes have a sweetness that I dislike. The pad see ew was average, and the shrimp was slightly over cooked. The curry puffs were delicious, filled with potato and chicken.

Good food, SLOW as crazy service. I was so hungry. I had the red curry and it was the right amount of spicy and flavor. The seats are limited, so… if you have to wait for a seat — it’s probably not worth the wait. Waiting for a seat + waiting for the food. you will probably faint from being so hungry.

Yaaay! We finally have a Thai place on the ~other~ side of Queens Boulevard and it’s awesome! They just opened up this week, I happened to be passing by and I think my eyes just about bulged out of my head. A bunch of locals were crowding around, ogling the menu, when one of the staff came out to welcome us in all smiles. Everyone there is super friendly. Two of the workers chatted with us a bit about Thai food in the neighborhood and gave us a lemongrass sweet tea on the house. We ordered the curry puffs and two orders of pad kee mao, one with chicken and one with shrimp. The curry puffs were spot on. I asked for my pad kee mao extra extra spicy and they totally listened to me! It was nice and spicy, and the flavor was great and didn’t get overpowered by the heat. They even gave me a little container of a dry spice mix that I sprinkled over the noodles, and it added a nice little smokiness. The Prik Khing is also great, a hint of spice with perfectly cooked string beans and ginger. I like to get it with duck. The pork skewers are really delicious. I would skip the dumplings and the crab rolls. It’s awesome to finally have a Thai place in this part of Elmhurst, I can’t wait to try the rest of their menu. Welcome to the neighborhood guys! :)
