Mediocre food. Nothing was hot. The soup was cold and the Cole slaw smelt rotten. Everyone working in that restaurant just looks discouraged. No sense of urgency or desire to do a decent job. Next time I will just wait in line at Dave’s Diner.

Worst meal I have ever experienced. Coupled with the worst service I’ve ever had. Overall awful. Four of us went out to eat. The soups were all cold, three clam chowder and a French onion. The cheese on the French onion was not even melted! The clam chowder was just cold. Both soups had potential to be good, but soup should come hot or at the least warm. Mind you the server was horrible, constantly seemed irritated by the smallest tasks, I mean«can I have a fork» got significant eye rolling. Dinner was not much better. I got the ravioli«a smoked mozzarella filled with a pesto cream sauce» yet again COLD! And the sauce was a tomato base! Just totally awful! Sent it back to be warmed and it came back cold yet again! I swear they have an issue with heating!!! It also tasted really bad. Another meal was the fish and chips, the fish was actually very good, super flakey. But the batter was not completely cooked. The coleslaw smelled completely rotten. Lastly, the ravioli that I didn’t even touch was still on the bill!!! Absolute worst experience I have ever had. Please do not go.

I’ve been here twice, and on both occasions I had a great meal. The first time was for a Sunday brunch. Oh. My. Gosh. There was a massive amount of food here. Like desserts on desserts on desserts. Eggs on bacon on prime rib type deal. It was all fresh and there were cooks to help serve you, and serves always refilling your drinks. I highly recommend the Sunday brunch. You absolutely won’t regret the meal. The second time I went for dinner and got the smoked salmon with broccoli and asparagus. It was made perfectly. The red wine was also pretty good, if I do say so myself. I know, I know– white with fish, but really, I’m not classy like that. All in all, the fireside comes recommended and I will be going again.

What a dump. This place is pretty poor. Our server was sweet– so that counts for something. Unfortunately, the butter for bread is sweet enough to frost a cupcake– so gross. Our spinach dip was solidified luke warm cheese and the chips were waaaay stale. The special turkey dinner looked like a TV dinner without the portion container. My Cobb salad was average, and I was starving– so I am lucky. Will not go back.

I went here tonight with a group of people for my cousins birthday. Everything was delicious! I had the lobster Mac and cheese, multiple people had steak, and someone had the shrimp scampi. All of which had great reviews from people in our party. All around good place to go with a group, it is huge inside. One thing that I didn’t like was that it had REALLY loud live music on a Thursday when it wasn’t even busy. I found myself screaming to speak to people over dinner.

They have an awesome Sunday brunch! It’s pretty pricey but nice for special occasions and large family get togethers. They have a huge variety of breakfast/lunch and desserts and switch the menu every Sunday. The butternut squash raviolis are to die for!

My family and I have found our Sunday spot! We have 3 young boys and while they are very well behaved when we go out to eat, some restaurants/waitstaff are not always«happy» to see us. Today at Fireside we had brunch and ate off the regular menu. Not only was Kendra, our waitress, accommodating she was also attentive and very nice to us and the boys. She took the time to help us figure out the best way to order, bc kids eat free off the kids menu or with the purchase of an adult buffet. The food was great! We had a salad, pizza chicken tenders and a pasta dish. we do family style! They were busy and we still didn’t wait long for our food at all and it didn’t die in the window either. My husband and I have worked our way up in this business all our lives, he’s a chef and I manage the front of house. We understand and appreciate good service and good food, which these days is hard to come by at all let alone in unison. Just goes to show how important it is that the front and back of house work together! So Thank you. See you next Sunday!

Food was great, service was also great. Negative the hostess were rude when we walked in making us wait due to not have a reservation, mind you the dinning room was empty!!!

Not bad. I found everything at this restaurant to be adequate with a few postivie exceptions. I’ve had dinner in the restaurant three or four times; it’s convenient after a round of golf, each time the services has been friendly, efficient, and accommodating. I always ask for extra vegetables instead of a starch and they come through for me. The food is good, but not terrific. I’m guessing the banquet service they offer influences the high volume food production. I often order one of their fish entrees with no complaints. The drinks are okay, but not balanced top-notch cocktails. If you’re looking for a solid mid-range restaurant when you’re in the area, it’s a good choice.

Food was good but music was so loud that I could not hear my dinner partner across the table. I asked the hostess to have the volume turned down. It was not. Will not go back.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at the Fireside. It was a huge mistake. My wife ordered steak tips, which were burnt almost to charcoal. My wife, daughter and I all became ill afterward. We think it was the stuffed mushrooms, which is what we all ate. Although they took the steak tips off of the bill, the overall experience was pretty poor. We were seated in a dark corner of the bar area, even though there was a nice brightly lit dining area available. We felt as though we were not truly welcomed. That will be the last time we step foot in the Fireside.

This is our go-to place for prime rib. It’s perfect and reasonable priced. The first time we went we had the prime rib and. now always order it. I can’t really speak tithe other food on the menu, but I strongly recommend the prime rib. We’ve never had a wait. It’s comfortable but find the bar area to have a better atmosphere for dinner.

I found this place on Urban Spoon. They have a large menu and the food was decent. The prices are not correct tho, our waitress had to tell us that tow of the things we ordered were a different price. We ordered 2 Queen Size Prime Ribs with the add on lobster tail and one King. The waitress was CERY friendly and very good at her job. She was pleasant. I might go back after I have tried some other places first.

Not like the Fireside of old :(. They’ve switched out the rolls for cornbread. Also the honey butter has gone by the wayside. The portions are smaller, but the prices seem higher. My experience in the restaurant side was much better than the bar side. The waitstaff is quick and attentive, unlike the bar. I waited 15 minutes for a drink at the bar, which only had less than 10 people. As I was walking away the bartender realized that I hadn’t been served and attempted to get me to return. The funny is she was an original bartender from the original owners. The place definitely needs improvement. I doubt I’ll return.

So I am conflicted on how to rate the fireside. I LOVE it here. Probably one of my favorite restaurants ever… When they have their bread with the honey butter… However since they changed owners it is very unpredictable whether or not they will have the bread or not. Some night they do some nights they don’t UGH! But the rest of the food is great I just love the bread!

Met some friends and had dinner at the bar. The food as usual was really good, especially the clam chowder. The baked scallops were scrumptious and of course dessert was excellent. This place is busy so make reservations. It is worth it.

This place was fine… but not great. Some of the food seemed pre-heated. The atmosphere is good.

The size of this place is huge and the amount of people they serve at one time is even bigger. There must of been hundreds of people there and this shakes my faith in humanity. For the large dining room area, there must have been dozens of tables and I think I counted maybe three waitresses. After waiting 10 minutes to order drinks, it took another 10 to just get water and then another 10 for the drinks to arrive! We put in our order ASAP because we knew it would take forever. It did. I can ony diagnose my meal as having a bad case of the«suppose tas.» The short rob was surprizingly good but it was«suppose ta» come with a «burgandy demi glaze.» This is one of those instances where they advertise something elegant on the menu yet they dump a packet of instant gravy on it… My meal was also«suppose ta» come with asparagus. Apparently asparagus at the Fireside Grill is mashed and dyed a dark orange color. After being there for an hour, I decided not to waste anymore of my time and ask for my entrée to be corrected. I will say the person that ate my butternut squash said it was good! The cobb salad was great and the BBQ burger was served with cold fries. I feel bad for our waitress. God love her, she was busting her ass and she had no support. This place is also louder than any restaurant I’ve ever been to. I saw a band unload their equipment right after the check came and I left faster then Garfield finds lasagna. This place was packed and for the life of me I do not know why. If you keep filling these seats and they keep making money on subpar food at above average prices they are not going to change. I literally heard the couple behind us have the same complaints. Understaffed, underwelming, and extremely loud. The worst part of this review is that I am not exaggerating my experience. Go down the street to Harry-Os for a similar type place thats worth it. This place is like an overcrowded amusement park except nobody, including the staff, is having any fun.

I ordered food to go as I’m traveling from NY. I ordered the chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes instead of the pasta. It was a large serving and it was pretty good. I loved the butter that came with the bread, was sweet. The girl who took my order was very nice and when I picked the food up I didn’t wait long. Looked like a cozy place, nice fire place. If I come back into town I would try it again. Price was average.
