Went to Lorenzo’s with a friend tonight, the two stars is actually for the antipasto tuna salad, as the waitress was attentive, promt, and friendly. The salad was boring/bland and the tuna salad had no flavor to it at all. My friend did enjoy his meat ravioli with pasta sauce.

Not a good experience at all. The food was served so fast that, I strongly believe it was pre-cooked, and sitting waiting for the next client. As far as how the food tasted… it wasn’t too bad, but definitely not worth the price charged. The service was the motivation for me to review this place. The lady who served us, wasn’t the fit for the job, never gave us her name, only came to the table, to take the orders, to drop off the the food, and to bring us the check, every time she came, she would just turn and leave, not even asking if we wanted something else, let alone asking if everything was OK. If am I allowed, I would like to suggest the management to recycle the the waitress staff, they seemed a «little» outdated, or maybe it’s the weekend nights that’s a «little» too demanding for them. My first experience at Lorenzo’s, wasn’t the greatest, but maybe one day I will return, just to be fair on a future review.

Ordered scallops once. There were about 5 on the plate and not very good. Just ordered take out. 25 mins for an Italian Grinder. Won’t be back here again. When the older crowd dies, so will this place.

Last night my husband & I decided to try out Lorenzo’s per my request. As this was always one of my favorite places to go to when I was younger. This was definitely not the food I remember. I will start of with the hostess, she was not pleasant at all. Walked us to our booth dropped the menus walked away mumbling something. I head to the ladies room, the waitress comes to our table to drop off bread never asking my if we would like drinks to start with. She finally comes back to take our drink order then walks away not giving us enough time to order an app. Comes back with drinks again just drops on table & starts to walk away my husband tries to get her attention to order appetizer. We ordered eggplant fingers. Waitress brings our app drops on table & again starts to walk away without asking us if we are ready to order. My husband tries to call her back as she never told us her name. We both ordered the sampler plate I got the chicken & he got the veal. The bread was very fresh tasting & was happy that the butter was soft. The eggplant fingers were so good, but the sauce they had on the side tasted like tomato soup. I was hoping the food was going to be as good as the eggplant fingers. I was so wrong! The sauce was the same tomato soup no flavor, no garlic, no herbs. Waitress comes over my husband now softly speaks to her because even though the dining room only had 4 couples seated we were all seated next to each other. To tell her the meatballs tasted frozen the veal was tougher then leather. Never asks me how my dish is instead insists they are not frozen leaves table to bring another meatball over in small bowl with tons of sauce & looked hotter then the food we received. My dish tasted as if it had been sitting in pan all day & then they just reheated in microwave. The waitress then asks where we are from, not sure why that mattered, I then tell her we are from this area & how this was my favorite places to come to when I was a kid, as we are still talking she says I’ll go get manager & walks away. Manager comes over as we are telling her, she is looking away & didn’t look like she was listening. Just basically told us we are wrong about food, then tries to take the only thing we like the eggplant off the table had to tell her we were still eating them, so she walks away. Now we can see her telling the waitresses that we complained about the food, & each waitress & even the hostess now walk by U.S. & turns around at our table. Waitress comes over says she took our meals off the bill & that the manager, which she said was Lorenzo’s, was getting us to very cold Bud Lights that’s what was taking her so long. The beers come & now they are warmer then the beers we received before! I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. Plates were small & overpriced. Not the same good food I remember.

We sat in the patio area, which was casual and relaxed. Our waitress was great and very friendly. Hubby had the pork chop, which was HUGE and he loved it. Daughters shared a cheese pizza. One girl loved it, the other said the crust was too soft. I had the petite sized spaghetti with mushroom sauce. Petite size was still big, definitely enough for a meal unless you’re really really hungry. The sauce was a bit thin for my taste, but overall it was still good. Also had the homemade sangria which was tasty, and the girls both had the kids sundae, also apparently yummy since they devoured it. Overall, a good meal with great service.

Three generations of travelers, we were looking for relaxing meal after long day. We all cleaned our plates, from Mediterranean arugula salad to clams and homemade ravioli w a carafe of merlot. We ate in the screened in patio. It was great and at $ 140 for seven, a good bit less than the meal we had elsewhere yesterday.

This place is a staple in southeastern Massachusetts. The food is always excellent and the quality is the same as it has been since my childhood. My personal favorite include their Eggplant Fingers, Zucchini Fingers, and Linguica Grinders. The location is easy to find right on route 28. Great for kids too. My daughter loves their personal sized pizzas.

We’ve been here before and always had great food and service. However, tonight’s experience was very frustrating. Since it was Father’s Day we made reservations. Our waitress was a little slow coming around for the drink order. Once we put in our order, the wait was over 45 min. For the food and people who came in after Us Got their food first. I could see my husband getting aggravated. The waitress did come over to apologize for the wait. She said that the kitchen was backed up. At that point, I would expect management to come over, apologize and comp part of the meal. No one did anything. It’s very disappointing. On a better note, once we did get our food, it was very good.

Makes me sad. A proud heritage and not so long ago, great food. Food is not fresh or competently prepared. Embarrassingly bad. Miss you, Lorenzo. Find a chef to demonstrate to your horrible line cooks. Overcooked leathery veal. Smelly clams casino and canned chowder. I feel bad.

The food was good… and the service was excellent. There is a very strong cheesy odor in the dinning room… probably because there is a deli attached to the restaurant.

Pretty darn good. A family restaurant, we almost didn’t come because of the poor reviews until we read them in detail. They don’t deserve that. Really, one star because a baby was crying? If you are looking for a fancy pants place with an extensive wine list, probably not your spot. If you want great service, large portions and a relaxed atmosphere; this is the place. We had soup, stuffed peppers and pesto pasta. Everything was great.

I was here tonight with 1 of my daughter’s and her friend. I tried this place last year and EXTRTEMELLY disappointed. Food was awful, bland, barely warm. Wait staff is a lot older and have the same attitude. I figured I would try again tonight. Same thing as last time. 1st thing that was annoying was the SCREAMING newborn in the next room. 15 minutes, and I went and actually complained to Management. I’m sorry, but if I’m at a Restaurant with my family and paying money for food, I don’t need to hear a screaming baby. Parents should have taken it outside, PERIOD. No exceptions. I ordered the Pasta with Chicken. Barely room temperature, Vegetable’s in it were RAW and hard as a rock. The waitress was old enough to be walking with a cane, just not a good experience. This whole place needs to be redone.

We live close & used to love their consistently good Italian food. Not anymore. Last night the Chicken Parm. was very tough. I couldn’t eat part of it. The Shephard’s Pie was so salty my husband couldn’t enjoy it either. The prices are high for what you get & we wouldn’t mind if it tasted good. Poor quality for 2 very basic dishes. There are other very good restaurants in the area. Lorenzo’s needs to pay attention to quality.

Lorenzo’s reminds me of the late Thad’s in N.B. Really a «Gotta-get-back-in-time» experience, but dinner was OK. My chicken saltimbocca was tasty and large. G said her pesto chicken was good but too olive-oily. Service staff was good… not speedy but cheerful and attentive. Perhaps slowed down by a big Corvette owners’ function in the back room.

Okay, we get it. If you’re looking for a fancy spot with award-winning ambiance and décor, this is not the place for you. But, if you are looking for excellent food at a reasonable price, this place will be sure to come through for you… Go tos: Baked shell parm, chicken parm, meatballs, antipasto salad, greek salad, all salads, clam chowder. The specials are also usually very very good.

This place is honestly just okay strickly because of the pricey food. My brother and I came in for lunch and left paying $ 60 for the two of us(NOT including the tip) I only had water and chicken parm. He had three beers and we ordered two french onion soups with a the most inexpensive pasta. The food is wonderful and staff is sweet, however the price is a bit too much.

Probably one of the absolute worst places I have been to eat in a long, long time. My chicken parm was microwaved and heated from earlier that day or the day before. The waitress couldn’t have cared less and felt as though she didn’t even want to be working. The fact that they charge a ridiculous amount for such awful food is repulsive. They should be ashamed and I will never step foot in Lorenzo’s ever again

I love this restaurant. I mean, yes it’s filled with a lot of old people who are with their family and I always seem to get seated near a crying baby. But I really love the food. Their bread — off the hook! I can easily eat a whole basket myself because I can’t stop myself. I don’t actually eat the whole basket, but id like too. They make their own salad dressings. And it’s delicious! I crave their garden salad with creamy Italian. So good! Their pasta is also yum! They often have really good specials. A few weeks ago I had pumpkin ravioli with a sage butter cream sauce. It was a perfect fall night meal. I usually get their veal parm which is hit or miss. Sometimes the piece is veiny and sometimes it’s tender and delicious. But their pasta is homemade so that gets and A in my book. I’ve never gotten dessert here before. Probably because I eat so much damn bread before my meal. So I can’t comment on that. This is not the best restaurant but it’s a solid top choice with an extensive menu and really good specials.

Nostalgia, thy name is Lorenzo’s. Back in the days before I left home and by my definition, really started«eating» for myself(sushi, mushrooms, eggplant, Chinese food other than chow mein sandwiches), Lorenzo’s was my all time favorite dining spot. Today, it’s still a reliable and cozy place to tuck into with family. This Route 44 mainstay has been around since the days when my folks still lived with their ‘rents, and serves up solid Italian fare. It took me years to get past ordering their pizza, which has never changed or disappointed — over literally, decades. Other more recent discoveries include predictable(but good) pasta dishes and an appetizer of fried eggplant fingers that is so crazy tasty, you’ll forever consider mozzarella sticks a sorry substitute. One member of my family orders the meatball sandwich, each and every time(I suppose I come from a family of diners whose mantra is, «don’t mess with success») — that has got to indicate that he enjoys it. This is also the very first place I had spumoni with claret sauce, in celebration of one of my teenage birthdays, and that experience may have changed my life. Perhaps because I will forever associate Lorenzo’s with my youth I’ve never actually ordered alcohol with a meal there. Considering my affinity for vino(etc.,…) that is certainly weird. But my sister freely sips the house sangria, and has deemed it fantastic. The service is always friendly and accommodating, and as it’s a bit in the middle of the woods, the prices are better than you’ll find on, for example, Federal Hill. And you know what? Some will scoff but I truly think the food’s on par. Take most Federal Hill Italian restaurants and plant them in the middle of nowhere, and I’ll bet you won’t find yourself waxing transcendental. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about; the interior design hasn’t changed in nearly forty years. Because of this, it’s wise to stay away from the place on a first date; that is, unless you’re over 75 years old and in addition, don’t get out much — in which case, Lorenzo’s probably looks like a real hot spot(no offense to the many septuagenarians I know who do get out, a lot). My chief sadness about today’s Lorenzo’s is that they’ve stopped bringing a complimentary plate of Italian bow tie cookies to the table after your meal. These light, little powder-sugared treats, widely known as Angel Wings, bring back fond memories of growing up. I wish they’d bring them back because they were the sweetest final touch to a meal that in a wistful(entirely non-foodie) way, I wouldn’t mind being among my last on Earth.
