Best place around to get an amazing sandwich. While some may think it’s a bit pricey from seeing their menu board, believe me, you get your money’s worth. Their chicken salad on their fresh honey oat bread is to die for. Can’t beat the view of Middlebury Falls either!

Noonie’s sandwiches are delicious and there are many unique combos to choose from. I have also tried their quiche specials and enjoyed those.

This place is going downhill as of late. I ordered a BLT today to take a break from the Purple’s Pleasure(which they had been making poorly of late). The bacon on the BLT was burnt. They have the bacon precooked, then they microwave it. It started to stink up the restaurant with a burning smell while in the microwave. This likely wasn’t an isolated incident today for people with bacon on their sandwiches. I got a glimpse of the container that they had their bacon in, and a good share of it looked burnt. I used to love this place, but the quality control has been lacking in the past few months. I would suggest exploring alternatives.

Not that the sandwiches at Noonie’s Deli are out of this world, but sometimes the most memorable experiences come wrapped in plastic wrap. As a moderately priced sandwich shop, their offerings are just a small step up from some of the ordinary variety found at most take-out deli counters. And before there’s any misconception about the amount of protein within each sandwich, the slices of meat were actually mounded in the middle which has a way of making it appear as if they’re overstuffed. What made our meal extra special is that this eatery is located directly in the same lot as scenic Middlebury Falls which has ample lot parking and several picnic benches provided on the lawn for patrons to soak in the beautiful outdoors. For some reason, the ambience of the crisp fall day along with the waterfall thundering in the foreground, made our roast beef and corned beef sandwiches – both on gluten free sliced white bread with lettuce, tomato and house made garlic-basil mayo – so much tastier and satisfying. My hubby also ordered a cup of fresh made corn and shrimp chowder. One unsuspecting and unwanted nuance of the soup was the spicy after-burn. Why restaurants choose to limit their cuisine to a certain demographic, I will never understand. At least it would’ve been helpful to have had foreknowledge of the chili pepper kick in the recipe. Had we known, we would’ve passed. Other than that, the soup was flavorful and well made, the staff was attentive, and as a convenienc, there are(unkempt) restrooms upstairs for customers.

Since my last review service had declined. I haven’t had a correct order since… And sandwiches are swimming I condiments. I had to drive back here 3 times one day to finally get my correct order for a meeting… and then they wanted to charge me for their mistake. When I’m ordering for myself, no big deal… but when I look incompetent at work. You can only check orders to a certain extent… I shouldn’t have to deconstruct a sandwich to make sure it’s vegetarian.

What a nice surprise to find a place to park AND a great sandwich at Noonie’s Deli. Busy at lunch but we needed the time to choose among all the fresh vegetables and juicy meats with melted Vermont cheeses. I had the grilled chicken with lettuce, tomato, red onion, bacon and cheddar with Caesar dressing on a toasted bun. My wife had the humongous Cobb salad. Below standard seating – we went upstairs – seems majority order to go. A great place to feel the Middlebury vibe if you’re passing through.

Sandwiches are gigantic and pretty cheap, I got the cape codder and it was delicious. Only 4 stars because it wasn’t the cleanest place in the seating area. It looks like they had trouble keeping up with the earlier lunch rush because someone was cleaning while we were having our late lunch. Overall good spot if you don’t want the other dining options in the area.(There are surprisingly few food options in Middlebury…)

I went here based on the good ratings and claim to be inexpensive. I was quite disappointed. First of all this place is dirty. Really dirty. It looks like it really hasn’t been cleaned in years. Décor is worn, cheap and out dated. I can get past that if the food is good though. I didn’t go for the décor. The service was slow. I had to wait in line for 15 – 20 minutes. There were maybe 6 people in front of me. Once I got my sandwich I had to wait a few minutes for someone to ring me up(don’t make it hard for people to give you money!). It wasn’t cheap. Sandwich, chips and a drink cost nearly $ 12. And they charge for each veggie after 3(I only got 3 because I didn’t want to pay more). Their sliced bread is super thick. Some people like that. But I didn’t want that much bread, so I asked for a crusty roll. The crusty roll was not at all crusty and was basically a stale hamburger bun. I probably should have ordered the huge sliced bread though because I left hungry. There was very little in the sandwich. I ended up stopping elsewhere an hour later for a snack. The sandwich just didn’t taste very good. It wasn’t revolting, but it was definitely not good. I don’t understand the hype. I haven’t been this disappointed in a long time. Oh, and for those that like their sandwiches grilled or toasted in an oven, they microwave them here. I had a cold sandwich, but watching them microwave other people’s sandwiches was unappetizing.

I had the Turkadilly, and it was amazing. My sister ordered the Cape Cobber and my friend ordered the Noonie BLT and the Lobster Bisque. The sandwiches were excellent, generous portions and fresh ingredients. We would definitely go back.

Favorite sandwiches. The purples pleasure is unreal– Turkey, cheddar, avacado, bacon, and jalapenos on fresh baked bread. It’s hard to review anything else because it’s hard for me to try anything else, and I am one to typically sample a menu. I will say their Gobbler is awesome(think thanksgiving on a sandwich) and they have a sandwich named after GoT’s Tyrion Lannister(grilled buffalo chicken, bacon, hot peppers) that is definitely worth trying. Anyway, best sandwiches inn Middlebury. Maybe vermont… maybe the world. Everyone leaves satisfied. Guy Fieri needs to pull up in his camaro asap.

FABULOUS sandwiches! Huge. Enough for several meals, and affordably priced! Had the Delia’s Delight. Most importantly though: the owner is just truculent!

A friend suggested we grab a quick lunch at Noonie’s. Not sure why folks enjoy this place. Basically it is a sandwich shop that makes big, unhealthy sandwiches on lackluster bread. Unless forced to eat at Noonie’s I won’t be returning. The food is bland and boring; I could see students getting homesick for a sandwich, but this place is just ok. And, I can make a more satisfying sandwich at home. Just saying.

As a student at Middlebury College, Noonies was always a favorite. So when I was driving through Middlebury on my way to Burlington, I knew I needed to stop in. To the first-time visitor, Noonies is a bit difficult to find, but it is best accessed by Printer’s Alley off of Main Street. I always order the Purple’s Pleasure: turkey, bacon, tomato, red onion, avocado, jalapeño peppers and cheddar melted with lettuce and garlic basil mayo. This time was no different and as always, it was delectable. I took my sandwich to go but Noonies has seating on its upper floor and also outside on picnic tables overlooking the waterfall and Otter Creek. Whether you’re staying in Middlebury or just passing through town, definitely check out Noonies.

I LOVE the sandwiches here! I had the Purple Pleasure, like others stated, it was delectable. I had the veggie sandwich and it was by far the biggest sandwich I’ve seen. Noonie’s has great breads that are freshly baked and they cut it into delicious thick slices. I tried the honey oat bread and the wheat bread and both were great. The view outside with the waterfall is gorgeous. If you prefer, you can eat it upstairs. It wasn’t too noisy. Noonie’s also has a rewards program for frequent customers. I will be back.

This is a nice place for a sandwich in Middlebury, located just across Otter Creek from the downtown shops. For lunch, it can’t be beat!

This is a solid sandwich place for the area, but I have to agree with other reviews that put it in the middling category. I have twice gotten sandwiches here – once good, once not so good. First time, I got the gobbler. The insides were good, but the white bread it was served on was dry and crumbly. Second time, I got the crusty roll special of the day – this time much better. Take away lesson: stay away from the white bread.

Very basic. Nothing special. Just had the cape codder on a baguette. The bread is more like a Portuguese roll and all you can taste is the red onion.

This place was recommended as a great place… it was just. ok… asked for a baguette for my choice of bread, it came out far from something from France, meats were just ok also … although the combination ideas for sandwiches were thoughtful.
