This place is such a hole in the wall! It’s a really small place, but it’s great! When you walk in, you smell all of the amazing scents of the teas they have inside. Then you order up front and take a seat. They bring the tea over to your table(even if you’re outside). The tea here is really good! They bring a large teapot to your table that you can just keep drinking from(so your tea stays really warm. Also, the chocolate here is soooo good. I had the White chocolate lavender chocolate and could not get over it. The service here is really good. The person working brings you a new pot of hot water for your tea and asks if you would like anything else.

Very nice shop with helpful staff. Nice tasting of 3 teas for two people. We had the oolong, green tea and silver needle white tea. Well presented and answered our questions knowledgeably. Peaceful place to rest on a nice day out.

What a sweet little place. Great selection of items! The young man working there yesterday morning was very helpful in finding exactly the tea I was asking about.

A nice little place, very beautiful inside. A bit overpriced, in my opinion, but there are of course tons of teas as well as a few treats. Tucked away in Marbleworks, plenty of parking. I’ve only been once but the service wasn’t great – we ordered food with our tea but never got it. They were very nice though.

The perfect place for a college student who wants to leave the campus bubble. The teahouse is serene and welcoming, and I love spending all day there drinking high quality tea and doing work. The staff knows their shit, and I’m consistently impressed by the quality of the tea. How is it that Middlebury, VT has a better teahouse than anything in Chicago? The quality is comparable to teahouses in NYC, although the atmosphere is much more slow paced, but hey it’s Vermont, do you expect anything else? Great selection, I particularly like the Jasmine Pearls and the Moroccan Mint. Highly recommend as a study spot or even a date!

I’m doing the Japanese language program at Middlebury this summer, so I basically spend all of my waking hours studying. On Saturdays, I like to come here and sit with my laptop, sip endless cups of tea, and eat the occasional chocolate goodie. This place really does have a great ambiance and a really nice tea selection. Their summer iced teas are just what I need on a hot day, and I love that they give you bottomless hot water so you can get 10 infusions from a pu-ehr tea, or 7 from an oolong(for example). Oh, and their cinnamon rooibos was incredibly good. It contained fresh cinnamon. Don’t be afraid if you don’t really know tea– the staff are very kind and would be happy to help you pick one out. A couple of notes– no AC, but it’s rarely hot enough in there, even during the worst of the summer, to be a problem. Also, they don’t take credit cards, so if you don’t have cash, duck into the pharmacy right behind them, where you can get cash back with any purchase. Also, they prefer if you bring your own to-go cup, but they do have glass jars for you to take with you if you’d like, say, an iced tea for the road– and they’re happy if you bring them back. They were willing to let me keep a tab here if I’d be back(how kind is that?) but I went and fetched some cash at the pharmacy to pay them with. A good quiet place to work with free wireless. Worth the trek.

Stone Leaf Teahouse has a variety of loose leaf teas, as well as fresh steeped-to-order items that you can enjoy. The interior has an inviting, Asian-inspired ambiance. The only thing warmer than the delightful tea is the friendly service you will receive from the outstanding staff.
