Customer service is horrible of course this saying this sounds redundant especially for this bagel place but all of the years this place has been here nothing has improved. better off going to dunellun bagel

Normal deli fare.
Store very clean
Staff friendly but very busy
Bagel (egg) was very good, ham was excellent
Wife had pumpernickel bagel with Garlic and Herb spread.
She felt the spread was very good
Strip mall location so plenty of parking, lot could use a face lift.
All in all a very good experience

I find the plugs for Dunellen bagel in these reviews a bit suspicious. First of all, Dunellen Bagel’s customer service isn’t much better than this place — if at all. They’re grumpy middle aged white men who I rarely see smile. Second they’re far enough away from this place to hardly be considered a competitor. Third, I see little that differentiates this place from DB as far as their bagels, coffee or what have you. Both are on the pricey side but maybe that’s just because EVERYTHING is getting so damn expensive. I agree that the ladies behind the counter aren’t the friendliest and I remember one time they charged me extra for onions on my tuna bagel. Extra for onions? Really? Way to be penny wise and dollar dumb since I think I’ve been back here once since then.

Good cheeseburger on onion bagel — $ 6.25. Would have been 5 stars, but restrooms were blocked off, so I could not wash up after. I’ll be back.

Their bagels are delicious, prices are good.
I don’t see employees handling food with their bare hands, and I’m here at least once a month. They’ve never been rude, they don’t mess up my order and they are fast. Disclaimer: I’ve never been to Dunellen bagel, which I first assumed these reviews were about since it gets mentioned in a lot peoples’ comments. Regardless of how it compares to Dunellen bagel, it’s worthy of at least being tried.
Apparently I have thick skin, because I haven’t been offended by or noticed a lack of friendliness from the staff. When I go to get a bagel I only care about the quality, cleanliness and price – not how friendly they are unless they directly offend me (I accidentally asked for an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich at a Starbucks and was chastised by the cashier because they only offer «gourmet something something», not breakfast sandwich – that offended me). It may be that I have low standards, but I like coming here and have been for awhile now.

Just to update: I’ve been back twice, greeted with a smile, and am looking forward to a return trip!

Bagel bistro is on point the majority of the the time. They’re customer service is not as bad as people say. They definitely won’t powder your diaper, but they will serve a good bagel at a good price. This is a neighborhood spot that will learn your name and your order if you give them the opportunity.

Customer service is horrendous. Girls who work here at rude and bitchy. They make you feel like it’s an Inconvience for coming in to get something to eat. Not to mention they got our order completely wrong. Like not even close to being right. After calling and saying the order was wrong they tried to tell me that it was right and it is just the way they cook their eggs? Just hilarious. If you are asking for my recommendation if your looking to get breakfast in the area you’re better off going to the dollar store and eating a paper plate then going to this place.

Mediocre food and AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would love to see this place go out of business due to their rude and bitchy attitudes. Every time I come here, I see the same group of stereotypical Staten Island looking trash. Bitchy girls who act like they’re too cool to associate with you. Come here and I promise you that you will never hear the words «hello, thank you, you’re welcome, or have a nice day» come out of their mouths. They even mumble when they take your order because I guess it’s too painful for them to put on a fake smile and act like they don’t completely hate their life. They have messed up my order on occasion as well and never have fresh coffee out. I hate this place and I would rather eat the lousy bagels from Dunkin than EVER return here. Come to this place and I promise you’ll regret it. 1 star is being generous. I wish I could give it ZERO.

The food isn’t bad and I go there frequently because it’s close and convenient BUT the girls that work there are miserable and rude. Never welcoming and nasty. Ever time I go there, same girls, same attitude. I’ll be taking the trip to Dunellen Bagels from now on.

Never again! I have been a patron here several times before and the only nice person ever was the dude with the sleeve tattoos. Everybody else is either rude or is inconsiderate with your time and loyalty. Tell me how almost 90 percent of the time the same woman has rung me up (and I’ve been there many times over the past 2 years) and she has never once acknowledged me for being a regular patron? Unfortunately she is the rude Staten Island stereotype you would see on Mob Wives. Also tell me how the owner himself has never even given me a nod even though he’s almost always there and he must know I’m a regular! That unfortunately shows a certain arrogance on his part since admittedly their bagels are great and the place is always doing good sales. Now today was the final straw as me and another customer waited three minutes to even have our order taken and while I admit I could have asked them to take it I purposely waited for them to make the first move. Guess what? It never happened! They were prepping deli meats and slicing bagels instead! So the task is more important than the customer at this place and therefore I walked out even though I passed two other bagel shops on the way there! This customer is now gone!

The girls that work work here are stuck up and extremely rude. They never greet you and they never smile. They make coming here very uncomfortable because they are so nasty. Big turn off

I can’t even give this place any stars. Their bagels are glorified rolls. They’re horrible. You’re better off driving an extra 5 minutes to dunellen bagel and getting quality.

Been there a few times now, but never heard anybody say, «thank you», «have a nice day», or even «bye». Since they don’t s seem to appreciate my business, today is the last day I go there.
