Stopped in to grab beers for the ‘Bama title game. Guy with the accent, very friendly & helpful; you can tell he knows the store well. Guy ringing me up, stupid comment regarding my purchase. — Would stop here again — Prices are average for the area, not cheap but not over the top.

This is a small, almost«convenience store» type of liquor store, but it fits the bill for a couple of reasons. First — I’m new to the area and this is the closest liquor store to my place. Second — yes, this place kind of smells like baked corn chips, but they have a decent craft beer selection for its size and all of it is kept in the coolers, which also features a walk-in. Third — I bought a bunch of stuff and didn’t feel like I’d been robbed. You know what I’m talking about, right? No? Well, I’m talking about the highway robbery feeling you sometimes get when you go into a small mom-and-pop liquor store, buy 2 small bottles, and then owe the cashier your firstborn child in comparison to what you would’ve paid at your usual liquor store. Got it now? Good. You won’t have that feeling here. And, lastly, they have kegs. I asked for the list of what they can get and got the usual«I can’t show you that,» but the few names I did inquire about(Sierra Nevada and Southern Tier) seemed to be on the list of what they could get.
