The Painted Otter Refinishers

We just renovated our kitchen and bathroom. The only thing we didn’t replace in the bathroom was the tub. We decided to get it refinished instead. Boy, am I happy we did! Not only was it considerably cheaper, but it looks just as good as if it were brand-​new today.
I got an appointment within days of me calling. The process took less than three hours. Nathan not only did a fantastic job, but didn’t make a mess at all! Everything was completely clean when he was finished.
If you need anything refinished, the painted Otter is the way to go!

Nathan gave us a quote of $ 2,200 to reglaze our tub and tile around it. For the next 5 days he didn’t return our calls requesting clarification on tile color. When he did call, it was 5:30pm the night before he was supposed to arrive to do the work. He said he miscalculated and «should be charging $ 2,900 for the job» but would be willing to break even at $ 2,500. Then he said «unless you want to hold me to my $ 2,200 quote. If you’re those kind of people that are willing to let me lose money, then we can do that.»
When we declined to proceed with the project, he deepened the guilt trip with «guess my guy doesn’t work tomorrow then.»
Would not do business with these guys.

Nathan is one of a kind. I would highly recommend this company. The picture says it all.

The Painted Otter did a great job on my tub refinishing.
This is definitely a case of «you get what you pay for» — It wasn’t the cheapest estimate we got but they mentioned things that other companies didn’t, which we took as a sign of their attention to detail. I’m so glad we didn’t decide to cut corners.
They brought A-​1 ventilation equipment — there were almost no fumes during the process. Their work was meticulous — correcting previous work (by others) and making everything right. They explained what they were doing at every step — a nice touch that most people don’t bother with. They arrived on time, finished early and were friendly and professional.
I’m also an over-​protective cat owner, so Jessica & Nathan’s patience with my questions about effects on pets was greatly appreciated.
In the end, the tub looks like new, I’m happy and the cats are happy!
