Their burgers are yummy! I like how their burgers are a little crispy and the bun is toasted. Their homemade fries are good too when it is cooked properly. I got a several pieces of fries that were not as crispy as the other ones. lol The server we had was friendly and a jokester. The food came out at a decent time. You can tell this place is pretty popular since it’s a small family own restaurant and has been in business for a while. Lunch time gets packed, so I suggest you get there before 11:30. The place is a little run down and not very lit, but who cares. As long as the food is good, that’s all that matters. I would like to try their southern menu items if I go back.

Had the fat burger and it was awesome one of the best homemade burgers in town. Also tried the pecan pie it was about the best pecan pie I had ever had besides my own grandma’s.

Brooks’ slogan is «Home of the Fatburger». I have always thought of it as a burger place more so than barbecue. Their burgers are delicious, a good-sized, tasty patty and good toppings and bun. The french fries are homemade and freshly fried… they come out almost too hot to eat! One of the best things are the homemade pies. No pre-baked or frozen pies here, these are some of the best pies I have eaten. Last time I had the lemon pie and I really enjoyed it.
I will have to try their barbecue some time but their burgers are so good I have always tended to get them instead of anything else.
