Great menu, including Saturday brunch. Steaks, burgers, chicken fried steak, catfish, salads, and amazing appetizers. Homemade chips and salsa. Quail is incredible and served with sweet potato fries. Generously poured drinks. Lots of seating available for groups, and bartop stools if you’re alone. TV’s on sports channels. Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Clean restrooms. Daily lunch specials for downtown workers. Live music on weekends. Mostly classic rock and sometimes country. Non-smoking area for lunch. Spacious outdoor patio with restrooms. Lots of parking available. A West Texas legend for over 25 years where thousands of oilfield deals were made on napkins with a handshake. Great venue.

Boring and dirty. Tried it several times. Music way too loud.

Delicious chicken fried bacon with homemade gravy! Yes, chicken fried bacon!!! Very fresh salads, I had the blackened chicken salad and the chicken was perfectly cooked and all the dressings are house made. They also make their own chips that come with the burgers and they’re amazing too! Overall very good, 4 stars because it’s not nonsmoking.

Hands down best bar & grill in Midland, not to loud were you can’t have a conversation. Great food as well I enjoy their quail with gravy and sweet potato fries. Just a nice place to sit back and enjoy another day’s end with good company.

I love this place but the service is questionable. The atmosphere is not very Midland-like which is ironic because it’s a staple here. The food was excellent. I had the chicken and waffles, my wife had the blackened chicken. Both were delicious. We went during brunch so it was busy. However, we put our name in and waited. Moments later people walked in and were seated. Unacceptable. Then our waitress was slow and looked lost. I’ll be back, hopefully they can work on the service issues.

The burgers are good. This is the only thing I get when visiting Midland. Drinks are good too! Prices weren’t bad. Very laid back spot.

I am visiting from out of town and tried The Bar. I sat n the patio on a 100 degree day and it was very comfortable. The ribeye was huge and cooked medium rare perfectly. Even the salad dressing.(Blue cheese) was delicious. Homemade I bet. My only complaint is that I was ordering French fries but said I didn’t want a whole Noël of them. She asked if I would rather have Krinkle fries. She said they were really good. I agreed to them, but they were just normal Krinkle cut fries, nothing special. Except for the $ 1.98 up charge for them!!! Other than that small thing I had a wonderful meal and will definitely come back next time in yown

Disappointed. Went for lunch during the week. Not overly busy, but yet our server was less than attentive. The food was OK. Nothing I would write home about, especially for the price.

No frills, just solid pub food, friendly service, and a laid-back atmosphere. It is also a Midland institution, so you never know who you might bump into. I’d give it five stars if only they’d add two more taps and offered a couple of Texas-made craft beers.

I believe I have only been here once after I started Unilocal. This place has a great feel. Never been here for breakfast. But after work for a couple of beers and a with some fried jalapeños. It works for me. A must try. They put them in their quesadilla. This place is not a fancy restaurant. But the service here is top notch. Everyone has their favorite to get. The first time I went I asked a few regulars. And everyone had their favorite. I was told everything is great. You just have to find your favorite. I hope you find yours.

Great atmosphere. Burgers are great. Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas at brunch on Saturday great. Had eggs Benedict, daughter had biscuits and gravy and hubby had breakfast enchiladas. Taste was great but food wasn’t hot. Didn’t see the waitress much so didn’t send back. Shame food wasn’t hot. Would have been a great brunch otherwise.

The place was pretty busy for lunch, it took a while before we got our food and even the check. I had the philly sandwich and was pretty good; the meat was seasoned well. I also had a cup of the beef stew which was more like broth and ingredients that would go in a stew; the flavors were good even though it was not what I had expected.

The Bar is a Midland right of passage. The Queso Burger is on point and the brunch on Saturday’s is by far the best in town. The waitresses are great and the bartenders adequate. Take your jacket off before you go in. Whatever you wear is going to have the stench of nervous oilfield trash sweating oil prices through endless amounts of cigarettes.

Nothing like the stench of stale wet cigarets upon entering for breakfast on a beautiful Saturday morning. The non-smoking section is in the back where you are pack in like sardines. The OJ tasted like something out of a can from the Super Mercado and the potatoes were obviously right out a large bag from the freezer. Don’t bother with the Eggs Benedict.

Food was amazing the«the» bar burger is phenomenal! It has an entire hatched pepper split and put on top of the burger making it extra juicy. I would venture to say this is the best burger Midland has to offer

I love coming here on Saturday mornings and sitting on the patio. I would never be able to eat in the smoking part of the building because it stinks to high heaven but the patio(or garage if weather is bad) is awesome.

Lunch– If I lived here, I’d eat here every day. This place is historic to the oil patch. I’m betting plenty of business has been done here over the years. The ham and swiss was great. Perfect heat and the roll was fresh. The homemade chips? I skipped suppa over this place. I’m stopping here again before I leave Friday.

Great place to eat drink and smoke. Chicken fry is recommended as well as the patty melt. Outdoor seating. Very spacious, lots of seating and good service for such a large setup. Drinks a little on the weak side so 6 point Texas beer is your best bet. Margaritas are tasty but a little lite on the liquor. Waitress was very attentive and good with suggestions. Overall good experience.

My experience here for the first time has been really good. I had their«Bar Burger» and it was pretty delicious, a little greasy but thats nothing new specially its got bacon in there. The vibe here is really nice. I dont really see this place as a bar. It’s more like a restaurant with bar. Nevertheless i like the vibe in here. I wouldn’t mind coming here again with friends and hang out here for drinks and some food. Smoking is allowed in here but its pretty well ventilated

Burgers are good here. I never been to a bar/restaurant where smoking was allowed. Welcome to Texas. The place is pretty small, dingy and dark. The restrooms are hard to find… funny that the tables are so close to the ladies restroom door way. Service needs improvement… waiters are slow with service and bartenders are not very friendly.
