I love this place. It beats any place around. I cant remember which days theyre open and closed but i know at least once or twice i have gone there and they were closed. Thats just how mom and pop stores are. Also it kind of sucks that its cash only but i understand why.

New to the area, had a serious sweet tooth going and decided to check this place out. It is a sunny Friday afternoon at almost 2 p.m. My mistake was not researching what time a business opens, but in my wildest dreams, I wouldn’t have thought that 3 p.m. Was a normal time to actually accept customers. To make matters worse there was someone there staring at me as I am trying to figure out why the door won’t open and while we might have only been a 10 – 15 dollar sale, willing to let us walk away! Lesson learned, no less disappointed.

Stopped at 2 Sisters on Saturday night after dinner in the area. Pulled up and did not expect much, but we had 3 couples looking for some dessert and to visit a bit longer. Wow, first impression was way off base! A few had sundaes, my husband and I had the concrete mixers — mine was the chocolate custard with peanut butter and bananas — first spoonful caused me to stand up(while sitting at their small tables outside) and give everyone else a taste — I was sooooo pleasantly surprised and impressed. I even told the girl behind the counter it was good they were not there when I lived in Midlo, because it would be bad for me! They are reasonably priced, but only take cash. The whole large cup(and it was large!) was excellent and perfectly mixed.

Really great Yogurt ice cream. I seen them on a tv show about Chicago eats and since I live close decided to try them out. Cash only and for those who don’t know yogurt is more expensive that I’ve cream but it tastes way better.

The ice cream was okay… not sure what all the fuss was about. I didn’t know it was cash only until I was already there.(A business that doesn’t accept cc, strange) Staff was a bunch of high school kids who stared at me funny. I thought something was wrong but it was kids being judgmental. I won’t be back

I just wanted to update my review to say this place still rocks my socks! I’m still blown away by how awesome and friendly the staff is here. We typically walk up there with our dog, and they’re always offering a bowl of water or a doggy cone.(which he can’t have since he’s lactose intolerant… poor pup.) The custard is still the best I’ve ever had. Come here immediately.

I usually hit this spot when I feel like I’ve been exceptionally good at the gym and have achieved some moderate success in my goals for fitness. A small chocolate cup is all I need. Because the custard is that good! It doesn’t need to be dressed up, but boy howdy does that make it even better. They have pints to go– including a sugar free vanilla. And whatever flavor of the day is. Cash only so hit up an ATM before you go.

My husband & I have been coming here since they were at their old location(still upset about that move) on 159th St next to Sake Bob. Even though we can no longer walk there, we still enjoy the short drive for our custard fix! Even more enjoyable is bringing a quart of their freshly packed vanilla custard home with us! My absolute favorite that I order every time without fail is Ken’s Calypso-Vanilla custard with bananas, pineapple, peanuts & whipped cream. AMAZINGLYGOODSTUFF. I’m craving it now in fact…

Wife and I stopped by after a let down dinner at Durbins around the corner. No it not Andys, but almost as good and come on folks you can’t say anything bad about frozen custard. This is a place where you feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door, and so much to choose from, and prices that are very reasonable. What a great place for us to stop at after our weekly meal at Bartolinie’s. Just remember to take cash, as they do not take CCards

Very delicious! They offer very friendly service. While on our most recent visit we brought our almost 2 year old son. They asked us if we were interested in a super tiny FREE cone for our son. It was really small but so perfect for him. That little extra service always makes for a great experience! As others have posted it is cash only. We will be back soon :-)

I wanted to try this place out because everyone was saying that they were so good. Well I am here to say, they are delicious. They custard itself is really great. It seemed to me that it was much lighter than ice cream. They have so many different toppings to add. They also have many signature sundaes. The prices are not to shabby either. My husband had a banana split and I had a 2 scoop custard with cheesecake bites and strawberries. It came to $ 8 for both. BTW, this is a CASHONLY spot.

Found 2 Sisters Frozen Custard on my phone app during a recent visit to the south side having a HUGE ice cream craving. Boy, what a treat! I ordered one of the signature sundaes, The Bebe which was vanilla frozen custard, hot fudge, strawberries, small cubes of cheesecake(they were so creamy and heavenly), whipped cream and topped with a cherry. It was a small and very rich and decadent. My friend ordered the White Sox sundae which she really enjoyed as well. It was vanilla frozen custard, marshmallow, and hot fudge with the whipped cream and topped with a cherry. There was no seating inside, limited seating outside(3 – 4 café tables) and also it’s CASHONLY. Very reasonably priced though I think our sundae’s were $ 4 and for a small it was more than plenty!
