Great shows, great concessions, and great people! Definitely a giant leap up from your average community theatre!

I went here recently to see the musical«First Date» and while the show was good, I expected a bit more from the venue. The size didn’t bother me that much, but it had a very«cheap» feeling with the seating. They didn’t have concessions, but it almost felt like kids working a lemonade stand could do just as good of a job. I guess this is certainly a low production, budget venue.

I can’t speak for the community/kids shows that they do here, but I do enjoy the occasional trip to Quick Wits. If improv ain’t your thing, then it’s probably best to stay away or come during the early evening for a straight up show. But Quick Wits has been at it for a while and depending on who’s there it can be pretty entertaining. If you’ll reach back to the recesses of your mind, you’ll recall that this location used to be the Comedy Circuit. It’s set up just like you’d expect a comedy club turned theater would be. And sure, it’s had shinier days, but they do continue to light the marquee out front and since becoming Midvale Main Street Theater a few years back it’s in good repair. Parking is on the street(perhaps in back? Don’t quote me on that one) and I’m a fan of old Midvale Main. It’s not the hip hop happenin’ place it could be, but it’s a unique place to grab some laughs.

I like this theater. The location is kinda odd since the old school Midvale main street is like a sad street that time forgot. There are weird stores and pubs that line this forgotten main street of old. But at the theater all your worries of being mugged or sad are whisked away. You can see some community theater or the witty musings of Quick Wits. Quick Wits is every Friday and Saturday night at 10:00PM. The theater has a full service snack bar with nachos, licorice and sliders. Grab some grub and see a show. May I say again, go see Quick Wits because it some pretty funny improv comedy that will make you sides split. If your sides do split, go see a Doctor about that at the hospital down the street.
