I had looked over the reviews and was worried because they had said that the food was good, but the service was terrible. This is NOT the experience we had today. The food was really goodand the service was great! I had the breakfast crêpe(so yummy). Other people in my party had an Irish omelets which was massive but tasty, and another had biscuits and gravy. They upgraded their pancakes to chocolate chip(holy crap! Those are so good). I have been to this location 3 – 4 times since they opened and recommend it!

I love this restaurant for the oven cooked, fluffy omelettes and incredible pancakes. All of the pancakes are great but I recommend upgrading to the pecan or bacon pancakes. As for time, be prepared to wait a half hour or more for the omelettes as the restaurant is very busy and it takes at least 20 minutes to cook the omelette plates alone. That being said, the manager sped things up for me when I chose this place as my last meal before leaving for my honeymoon 1 hour later.

These guys serve really good breakfast. If you want to be extremely full then order the Dutch baby. I wouldn’t recommend the strawberry sauce. Just get it and put powdered sugar and syrup, delish! But you will fill like your arteries are slowly filling with goo and that you want to take a nap in the booth immediately. I have had the skillet and many different kinds of the pancakes. 4 star quality every time for breakfast food. The staff is very hit and miss and don’t always speak the best English. For these reasons I have given this place 4 stars.

Let’s just say that this place never disappoints, my wife and I had a smörgåsbord of deliciousness. We came here on a weekday and the service was on point! The food was great my only downfall was the sausage pattie did not have enough flavor(that has to do with who makes the pattie meat).

I just love the original pancake house! Although it seems odd, their oatmeal is AMAZING! I recommend adding both the toasted pecans and bananas. Makes for a healthy and delicious breakfast. My boyfriend got the pumpkin pancakes and they tasted like Fall on a plate! Highly recommend the pumpkin pancakes as well.

I really like this place! Service is always good and food is always delicious! Only thing I don’t like is, u have to pay TOGO orders with a credit card. I tried ordering today and was told this news bc the owner put that new policy in bc too many ppl were ordering and not picking up. Honestly, that’s bs… as busy as OPH is, the owner should realize it’s a restaurant business and losses are gonna happen!

Great food. Fast. Perfect for a crime fighting billionaire. If you do have a little extra time, try the baked items.

This place reminds me of what IHOP used to be, before they gave up on life. They have a fairly limited menu and it’s all breakfast food. They only do a few things, and they do them well. I had the traditional breakfast, two eggs over easy, hash browns, bacon, add ham, and regular pancakes. Everything was really fresh and expertly prepared. I’ve certainly had better, and cheaper, breakfasts in SLC, but this place will do the trick as long as you’re not expecting anything amazing.

Who doesn’t like breakfast? Of Course they have any kind of pancakes you could want. They also have a huge menu with omelets, crapes, waffles and all the traditional breakfast favorites. The California Benedict was amazing.

This was disappointment. The place is understaffed and the food is underwhelming. For the money you can go somewhere local like Landmark Grill or Penny Anne’s and get something amazing. The food is bland and it was just missing something. I could not figure it out. I felt like I was eating Styrofoam. The place is too small. I hope you like talking with people because you become part of their table since they placed so close together.

This is a fav stop after workouts on the weekend. My go-to item is the pecan pancakes and thety are delicious. They both ahve pecans in them as well as sprinkled on top with some powdered sugar. I love the service and have never had a bad experience at this location. If you go on the weekend, expect a wait. The various pancakes are all good, I’ve tried most of them!

A bit disappointed. We usually go to the one in Sugarhouse, but the groupon is only available for fort union, so here I am. While watching all the others who came after me, already getting their orders, I’m starting to feel a little upset(ever heard the word«hangry»? Yes, that’s me). Anyway, as soon as my egg benedict arrived, I’m confused… This is Sunnyside up eggs! I will never order it again. Warning to every egg Benedict lovers!

I’ve never had a problem coming to this place. I’ve waited sometimes almost an hour to get out food but the food was always worth it. Figured I would order to go since we didn’t feel like sitting inside. The full plate servings was way smaller but we paid the same price and our food was thrown in sloppy. The hostesses was less than friendly and you have to pay for the food prior to getting it. So of course by the picture I’m posting I was less than impressed and of course asking for my money back would have been unreasonable right!?!

Pretty good food and friendly service. Nothing amazing or rave worthy. Most people like this place for their unique breakfast dishes, but you can get breakfast anywhere. FRENCHTOAST: bread is too thin, most of the time it’s soggy in the middle. BELGIUMWAFFLE: light and bit dry. BACON: sometimes it’s cooked too much and it’s like eating jerky. FRESHOJ: not the best tasting but fairly fresh. One liter is equal to three glasses.(see pic) COFFEE: typical small, watered down coffee, but it’s free refills.

Service was great wasn’t very crowded for a Saturday morning. What sucked was the very long wait to get the food out. Also they had the A/C blasted and I was pretty cold. Luckily the food was delicious and worth the long weight.

This place does not take responsibility for the mistakes on their menus. On the egg combos specifies that all the combos come with potatoes except when specified with an s on the side. The two by four combo does not have the s on the side which means it should have come with potatoes. When I received my order there were no potatos. I asked the waiter about them and he said it doesn’t come with potatos which I showed him on the menu where it says it does. Then Olga the manager comes to our table and says it’s a mistake on the menu and because of this I won’t be getting potatos. She said there is nothing she can do. Too bad because now I won’t be coming to this place.

Good place; quick and friendly service with an established menu of tried and true favorites. I have never seen an omlette done quite like theirs, and it was damn good. Huge and stuffed with tons of meat and cheese, this monster took up ¾ of my plate. It’s more like an omlette calazone; I think they fold it up then finish it in the oven so the outside gets a little crisp and flaky while the inside bursts with ooey gooeyness when pierced. Prices are about what you’d expect, $ 8 – 10 for breakfast. Coffee is serviceable. Atmosphere is barnyard meets Crate & Barrel.

They opened a second Utah location at a demised Texan BBQ joint in the Fort Union area. Just like their other location in Sugar House, it seems to be always packed here as well. The wait is probably not as bad as when they first opened with more breakfast joints opening up in the area. Parking can be very limited with most of the shops opened in the strip mall. The menu was the same as their other location, and their pancakes are always awesome here. They made a very nice Happy Face for the kids here. I had the special burrito last time, and it was just slightly spicy, but the spices were on the bitter side. Hash brown was ok. The dishes other got seem decent. Eggs and pancakes were definitely their strength. Original Pancake House was a fresh addition to the breakfast scene in the Midvale area, since most place carter to older folks in the area. Service was very attentive even when they were very busy.

OPH is delicious! It’s usually pretty crowded in the mornings, so if you go on a Saturday, expect a wait. I most always get the Dutch Baby which is a huge german pancake that comes with powdered sugar, lemons, butter and syrup. The service is a little slower than other places, mostly due to the fact that it’s so popular and crowded. Even during non-peak hours it’s still pretty busy. Another location is expected to be open on state and 11400 south(sandy) in January 2015!

This is one of my favorite brunch restaurant and I am so happy that they opened a new location closer to where I live! We use to go to the Sugarhouse location for the Breakfast burrito. It is pure goodness of creamy, cheesy, and meat! Now the new location is just good as the Sugarhouse one! The French toast is definitely always fluffy and moist! How many exclamation marks can I put in one review! The service is always great! The manager will check with every table to see how is everyone doing! Also try their veggie crepes! Negative: Their food is on the heavy side. The southwest omelet doesn’t have much veggie as expected. So far so good! I guess I am just too excited to write this review!
