My wife and I had our first lunch today at the May Café and it was exquisite. My wife proclaimed the vegetable soup was the best in Cincinnati and our sandwiches were a perfect complement. We will be going back!

The Good: Menu options, Fresh ingredients, great ambiance The Bad: Small dining room Located on Main Street in Old Milford, is the family owned and operated May Café. My family and I were in the area and decided to check out this place for breakfast. We were quite impressed with the menu and the staff. They are very friendly there and even took time to explain different items on the menu and which ones are popular. Their menu offers the normal variety for breakfast such as eggs, seasoned potatoes, oatmeal, and a breakfast sandwich. My wife and daughter enjoyed the #2 which came with two eggs, sausage, and potatoes. I had the bagel sandwich which included ham and eggs along with fresh spices and tomatoes. For dink options they have lattes, coffee, and espresso. Everything came out hot and fresh and we really enjoyed how tasty everything. The lunch menu consists of a variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups also made from fresh ingredients. The only downside is that the dining room is on the smaller side and only consists of a handful of tables. They do have outside seating but since it is still cold out, it was not yet open. Overall we really enjoyed our experience at May Café and will be back again for breakfast and to try out the lunch menu. This place is definitely worth checking out or making a special trip to if you are in the area.

Went to Mays Café for the first time today. Maybe it was an off day for them but I didn’t have the same experience as others who have posted. I ordered the #2 which was eggs, bacon, and fruit. Ordered the eggs over easy and they were hard. I just ordered the regular $ 2.25 cup of coffee and thought maybe at some point someone would come around and ask if I needed a refill. That didn’t happen so maybe it’s one cup only. I’ll try again because they had a very interesting looking menu. I just won’t order eggs over easy :-)

Went for the first time this past week and will be going back. I had the Rosso. Took less than 10 minutes during lunch for a to go order and was very good. I will order it again. But next time a may ask them to go light on the oil. They also have a good desert selection of cookies!!! Maybe thats why i am going back:)

Favorite place for a sandwich for breakfast or lunch. I have never had a bad meal here. Everything is made to order. My favorite breakfast sandwich is the #3 but instead of egg I get artichoke. Amazing. My fiancé gets the #2 for breakfast. He loves the eggs and the potatoes are amazing. For lunch, my go to is the Il Parma. The simplicity of the sandwich is refreshing. I recommend it to anyone I bring. This is my favorite place for breakfast or lunch in Cincinnati hands down. Go, give them your business. You won’t regret it.

Really good place, very fresh, baked goods look good too. I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Great spot for lunch.

The line was very long, and the employees were commenting on how unusually busy they were. That being said, the meal was good, a little over priced, but good. The drinks are bottled sodas and teas, so plan on buying two or drinking water.

This may be one of the most adorable places I’ve ever been. This quaint café is truly a hidden gem that is starting to explode on Unilocal, and for a good reason. They use only fresh and organic ingredients to make their truly interesting and tasty menu items. The prices are more than reasonable and everything on their menu is impressive! I recently stopped in to order an latte and was surprised to see how inexpensive it was and how quickly they had it ready. It was the perfect temperature and delicious. The employees were friendly and personable. I was dining alone and they made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I cannot wait to return!

This is the perfect place for lunch! I had the Italian submarine which was amazing and some yummy tomato basil soup. We sat on the patio in the back and it just made lunch better. It’s cozy and private. The staff was really great too!

Asked if I were to define Milford, I would respond, «May Café.» All that is warm and snuggly about Milford is captured in this little café. Patrons filtering in and out all seem familiar with the associates at the May Café, like your archetypical neighborhood corner café. I associate Milford with charm, and May Café’s service, food, and ambiance brims with it. The menu is succinct, but impressive. I indulged in the May Special — prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, marinated artichokes, lettuce, tomatoes, and extra virgin olive oil. Simple and perfect. I particularly recall the freshness of the bread and vegetables. Mushy tomatoes are not welcome here. The cookies and gelato looked divine. A delicate capstone to a long week at work, or an afternoon antique shopping along the strip. Just the best.

By far the best lunch place in Cincinnati. We eat here at least 3 times a week. Soups are always delicious, and if you come for breakfast(before 11) try the number 1 breakfast as a salad. Top notch.

This quaint little café, sits ever so close to the river. With under 10 tables, I could sit inside or out. The workers were all efficient, the food was served in a timely manner. The menu consists of European style sandwiches and homemade soups. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I’ve heard its as good as Starbucks. They offer many flavors of Gelato, from a local supplier. They also offer WiFi. They serve breakfast and lunch, open until 3pm. Its clean and the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. I would recommend giving it a try.

What a sweet, cozy place to eat! My daughter and I were driving in Milford when she said how cute this place looked to eat. So, we spontaneously stopped for lunch and what an enjoyable meal it was. This eatery had all the charm and friendliness of stopping by a friend’s house. Each table had little white containers which held a delicately enchanting fresh blossom floating in water. Both the women who worked there were so welcoming and friendly that it felt downright neighborly. Since it was fairly warm out, we opted for the chilled cucumber soup with radishes garnished with parsley. Not only was it delicious, but it was refreshing as well. As an accompaniment, we ordered their arugula salad prepared with lemon & olive oil dressing, feta cheese, tomatoes, cranberries and pistachios along with a slice of bread and watermelon. It was a true pleasure in both color and flavor. Besides the soups and salads, they also serve breakfast, espresso classics, sandwiches, and gelatos! Some of the interesting flavors for their dessert are banana foster(rum), lemon basil, madagascar vanilla and coconut caramel. Their prices were very reasonable, too. While eating inside, there are large windows which lend a bright, cheery feel or you could have eaten at one of the few sidewalk tables out front. I look forward to going back there again!

I’ve been here a couple of times and both times were delicious. The clam chowder was the best and the sandwiches are good. Place is tight but very clean. Be prepared during lunch hour as the place gets packed.

This is my favorite place to come get a cup of coffee and great breakfast. It is a small place but they décor is perfect. The prices are not expensive at all. I love everything about this place. Just wish I could come more often. I have also seen who I think is the owner outside of may café and she recognized me asked how I was doing. That’s major points in my book!

Very clean, great ambiance, food was wonderful and it felt like siting in a cozy little café in Europe. What a treat and a short walk from the nearby bike path. Our new favorite breakfast place!

WOW! Good things come in small places! This cute little café is a treasure — and affordable, and the food was EXCELLENT. We placed our orders & paid at the counter, and the waitress brought our food & drinks quickly and with a smile. The café is clean and cheerful, with window views of Main St. in Old Milford. Our salads were SOGOOD! I got the Arugula Salad($ 7.89), which was big and full of pistachios, cranberries, feta, and tomoto and tossed with an excellent lemon &OO dressing. A slice of fruit and some bread was also served with it. Both breakfast & lunch menus are available and very affordable. I WILL be back soon:)

I am at this moment writing this review and indulging in a very authentic Italian sandwich from May Café! Wow this place is great! I have always wanted to come here but haven’t had the chance until today. May café is a pretty small café with out door and indoor seating. The café is kept very clean and the waitresses and the owner are very friendly. The menu has a lot of options and it took me a while to figure out what I wanted. The menu includes sandwiches, soups, salads, espresso and gelato! I took my sandwich to go, I ordered the Italian sub. I am from Pittsburgh and there are a lot of Italians there and they really know how to make sandwiches so since I’ve been living in Cincinnati I haven’t found any Italian sandwich shops that could compare… until now! This sandwich is so delicious and very fairly priced! I feel like I am back in Pittsburgh! I would certainly recommend May Café! They are only open for breakfast and lunch so get there before 3 or else you are missing out!

At the suggestion of my girlfriends mother, we popped in here for lunch. I’ll keep this short and sweet. I ordered a sandwich that was absolutely delish. Forgive me for not remembering which one it was, I’m a little late in writing this review. Same thing for my girlfriend. Loved it, jsut can’t remember what it was. NOW, what I DO remember(and this alone is worthy of 5 stars) is that they have the absolute best White Chocolate Mocha I’ve ever tasted! UNREAL! It tasted like no other I’ve ever had before. Any time I got to any sort of coffee beverage place, it’s usually what I order. I’ve always been a fan. So it was no surprise that I ordered one here as soon as I saw it on the menu. What a shocker this was when I tasted it! I guess the look on my face said it because everyone was staring at me in bewilderement. I can’t help it… Good stuff makes my face scrunch up in a funny happy way!
