Ming Feng Chinese

Really 4.5 stars. I’m not sure if this place has changed owners because I remember trying it 6 years or so ago and not liking it at all.
IMO if you’re going to bother to eat anything that’s fried, it better be crispy. There is nothing worse than biting into a soggy, oily egg roll. Ming Feng fries everything up so that it’s wonderfully crispy-​even the leftovers crunch.
In the next week or so, I’ll branch out and try some different menu items.

About two weeks ago we ordered from here. Everything was delicious as was expected. Just your average Chinese take-​out place until… the BEST lo mein I have ever had in my life! Egg rolls, sweet n sour chicken, wonton soup, crab rangoons. Everything was so yummy that I might step out side the box of what I usually order (sweet n sour) and get something different (general tsao or beef n broccoli) just to compare it to other meals I’ve had!

Delivery is pretty quick, standard Chinese takeout food: you know what you’re getting, and it’s consistent.

The best Chinese take out in the area! The owner Jay and his wife are great they are always friendly and accommodating. General Tao chicken is the best I’ve had.

I’ve been going here for years. The family that owns the place is awesome and really friendly. I think they have the best crab rangoons around. Haven’t tried their newly expanded dining area, but I plan to in the near future. Great place.

Ordered from here for the first time yesterday. Food was above average for American Chinese food. Online ordering was easy. Only negative was slow delivery time (took 15 min beyond their estimated delivery time). Also made one special request on the online order form (no pork in a dish) which was ignored.

Order from them on a regular basis. Their online ordering is very simple and easy to do. Food is always hot and fresh. Very good meals. Only problem we have had in the past is not getting an online coupon item that was added but the staff there is very friendly and always willing to make things right. Great little Chinese take out

I’m in the New Haven area for work and had Ming Feng delivered to my hotel. Ordering online is a breeze, and the delivery driver was prompt and friendly.
When I opened my stapled brown bag, I glanced in and thought something was amiss. Toto, we are not in Kansas (er, Boston, MA) anymore. I’m used to light brown pork fried rice, dark brown lobster sauce, and when I say «extra duck sauce,» it usually means a big cup of the apple sauce looking variety, not a few extra bright orange packets.
Once I overcame my shell shock, I dug into a very satisfying meal. This is your typical, Americanized Chinese food — if you go in with exceeding expectations, you’ll be disappointed. The rice is perfect, fluffy and loaded with big chunks of peas, carrots, and pork. Shrimp lobster sauce was loaded with large shrimps. Chicken fingers were plentiful and ordinary. Egg roll a little too crispy, but still tasty. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner and would order from Ming Feng again in a heartbeat.

Perfectly serviceable hole-​in-​the-​wall Chinese food. Nobody should expect anything fancy here, but it’s fresh, hot, and fast. Exactly what I’m looking for when I want take-​out Chinese. The owner, Jay, is polite and engaging, and the prices are great. Highly recommended.

I love ordering from this place especially their house special egg foo yong. Great service and delivery is always on time. The prices are reasonable too not too expensive. The food is delicious and I tried other Chinese take outs out there but this place is my favorite!

As a Chinese person, I grew up eating delicious home cooked meals. I know good authentic Chinese food. This isn’t it.
What it is, is great quality chinese-​american food at very reasonable prices. Both my wife and I noticed that their ingredients are quite good for a Chinese takeout place.
We are extremely excited to have found this place in Milford, and plan on returning often. This ranks definitely a top 10% of all Chinese takeout places we have eaten at over the years.

The place itself may look unimpressive but the food is quite authentic! The owners are Cantonese, I believe, and we’re very helpful and patient in helping us choose our food. The prices are low and the food is good — not too heavy, which was perfect for me and my family, who aren’t quite used to eating out. I got the lo mein and home style tofu, and enjoyed both. Especially the tofu — their fried tofu is really good!

I hope this is the same restaurant inside the KMART/​Ocean State Job lot shopping complex in Milford, CT.
I had the most awful experience there when I went over there in March 2011 .The lady who manages this place is extremely rude to the indian-​origin people (Asian Indian).
I kept standing there waiting for her to respond as she was on the phone. Then a white lady walked in and immediately this manager turned into all smiles and started explaining to her about their menu spread. I just reminded the lady that I was ahead on the queue and she curtly handed over the menu card and a pencil and said «mark what you want».
I just walked out after letting her know what i thought about her behaviour.
I rarely take such racial behavior and that coming from an other immigrant community is totally unacceptable.

Okay, so M and I tripped upon this place about a month ago when I needed to stop at Walgreens to get a prescription filled and had a little time to kill while waiting for it.
Let me just say — they have THE BEST steamed dumplings ever. Even Steve is madly in love with these dumplings now. Also, their Crab Rangoon is quite simply; heavenly. They are the little hole in the wall place in the K-​Mart plaza in Milford and they recently changed hands from The Chinese Kitchen.
Get there if you are a fan of real Chinese food ;)
