I ate food from here recently and wasn’t too impressed. I got a brisket sandwich and tried a bite of the chicken sandwich. The bottom buns of each were soggy(yuck) and the coleslaw was the worst I’ve ever had. Absolutely NO flavor. I don’t love mayonnaise but it definitely needed more. Overpriced for the quality and the ½ sandwich didn’t fill me up.

I’ll keep this short and simple finally decide to go check this place out had their famous pulled pork sandwich and it hit every taste bud in my mouth ! The meet had a nice smoky moist taste and the barbecue sauce had this sweet Spice and tang to it and with that combo alone you don’t need any other sauce. The pepperoni sticks are made fresh along with their beef jerky which is out of this world. Found a new place to come get barbecue and other smoked food from now great food great service easy location in Bothell

So good, I had 2 dinners… For lunch. And despite how it looks on the outside, it’s very comfortable on the inside, like a cabin.

They were amazing since the beginning. They were super professionals all the way through. Setting up, serving, cleaning after, leaving the leftovers packaged in a nice way. Everything. Food was super fulfilling and delicious. It was very nice to have vegetarian lasagna too. Price is reasonable. And I love that this is a traditional family business. I would definitely hire them again.

What a horrible neighbor. The owner leaves all of his business vehicles parked on the neighborhood entrance. He uses the large box truck to hold trash. The advertising on the side says it’s for catering. The food is dry and the place is dirty. Has a smell to it. You can walk by the box truck and smell the trash inside.

The food is good. Sometimes its not. The sandwiches are hot sometimes. Sometimes half of it is still cold. The people here are nice but they could do better .if they wanted to… Such as making sure the food is hot before serving it. Its a good place to grab lunch. However its not $ its more like $$. Maybe im poor but lil expensive about $ 12 for a lunch and drink.

(This review is a little over due!) We were looking for a restaurant to cater from for our rehearsal dinner. I first emailed the restaurant to get a quote for our dinner and got a reply really quickly with a very reasonable quote. We decided to go in and try the food before we decided to use them as our caterer. The woman at the front wasn’t super friendly but she did help us. She set both of us down and they gave us a sampler plate of the types of foods that we wanted for the rehearsal dinner. The sampler plate was good sized and the food was delicious. They also didn’t charge us for the plates, which was surprising because most of the places that we sampled as options for the rehearsal dinner did charge us. We didn’t end up using Larry’s Smokehouse for our rehearsal dinner but it was definitely a contender. The food is delicious and worth a good Unilocal review!

This review is for Larry’s smokehouse’s food truck that came by my workplace. The deal they had that day was either a brisket or pulled pork sandwich plus a bag of chips for $ 5. The sandwich was of a pretty decent size. I got the pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. The only thing I had against the sandwich was that the BBQ sauce was missing something. It was missing some spiciness or smokey flavors. But honestly for the price I can’t be that picky. If Larry’s smokehouse came by my workplace again I’d definitely go back.

Good little bbq joint. Recommend the brisket or the pulled pork. Service is prompt and with a smile. Going to come back for some catering needs in the near future.

Before I give my review, know 2 things: I am a southerner(who grew up around amazing BBQ). I have HIGH expectations for BBQ. This was my first time to Larry’s. To my surprise, it’s a cool little vibe in an industrial strip mall. It can be hard to find, but look for their sign(in red) right on the HWY. The people are nice, picnic tables with a few regular tables and a whole in the wall vibe. As with all BBQ joints I enter into, I asked the cashier(Larry’s Daughter), what style of BBQ do you guys serve? In the south, BBQ styles differ from state to state. I wanted to know what I’m about to experience. I assumed Texas based on them offering brisket. The lady responded, «It’s our own style. It’s Larry’s style. He created it years ago.» The guy preparing the food corrected her with«it’s Texas style BBQ.» Well, she did not like that. «It’s Larry’s style.» The guy looked at me and said, «yeah, it’s Texas-based.» I told her I that I was from the south and I always ask that question. Beyond that interaction, they were always nice. Definitely said goodbye and come again. Below is my sub-rating. I give the whole experience/place a 3 stars. P. S. I hadn’t eaten all day, so I ordered two plates. Don’t judge. Food: Plate #1 — Whole Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich w/potato salad & a piece of cornbread($ 1 extra). Plate #2 — Half Chicken BBQ Sandwich w/baked beans. Price: 4 of 5 Stars — Reasonably priced Meat: Pork & Chicken 3 of 5 Stars — Both were cooked well, tasted good(w/o the sauce). Their pit-master does a good job cooking. I think they use conventional smokers(based on pics) instead of old brick and mortar smokers. I’m still indifferent on the buns they use. It’s like a softer version of a po’boy. Sauce: 1 of 5 Stars — Not a fan. Sorry Larry. It was a weird mixture. I think they were going for sweet with some heat. Tasted like a marmalade was mixed in it. It was really too sweet. This was my least favorite of the food. Sides: 3.5 of 5 Stars — Potato Salad was solid. Baked beans were good, but almost felt like they came from a can of Bushnell beans. Cornbread — good but cold. Shouldn’t be additionally priced. Chips — The meal came with tortilla chips. ??? I would suggest Ruffles, Layes, french fries or nothing. The tortilla chips didn’t seem to fit. The place has potential. I think their prices keep them in the game. I would offer a few different sauces for options AND push a dessert option(banana pudding, pie, etc). Based on time, I have not reviewed this for grammatical errors.

This place was absolutely delicious. Reminded me of when I was stationed in Charleston, SC. The prices are awesome as well. The girlfriend and I ordered ¼ lb. of the Beef Brisket and the Pulled Pork and ended up with something closer to a pound. Total win on that. The sides are also solid, with the cornbread being my favorite. The coleslaw was a little mayonnaisey for my taste and I’m never a fan of beans, but the girlfriend who is loved them. Highly recommend this place. Super reasonable price for the quality of food and the quantity you get. A damn good bbq joint and smokehouse if you ask me.

I retried Larry’s Smokehouse based on positive reviews and at the behest of a coworker. I will say I enjoyed my food a lot more than last time. The service was fine and the place itself was clean and cozy. The problem is larrys is not a good«bbq» spot. I had the brisket sandwich and there wasn’t any smoke flavor and it lacked that patented pink smoke ring smoked meat gets. The meat is a little bland but still good especially with bbq sauce. While Larry’s is not a good bbq place I will say it is a good sandwich spot. The bread was good and the meat and sauce is a good combo. The portions are big and $ 5 for a sandwich and side is a great deal. So go here wanting a sandwich and not to satisfy your bbq craving.

They catered an event at work, and it was AMAZING. They brought pulled pork and brisket. I chose the brisket, but got a taste of the pulled pork. Can we talk about how epic these were? Oh wow — the brisket had such amazing flavor, and the sauce perfectly complimented the smoky brisket. The sauce was like no other I’ve ever experienced — the perfect balance of sweet, smoky with just a slight zing of spice. The buns they chose were the perfect compliment to the rest of the sandwich. We are going to the actual restaurant tomorrow.

While they are highly inconsistent, when their French Dip is done right it is amazing. Their prices are fair since typically you can be pretty satisfied from a half sandwich combo. They serve the sandwich with tortilla chips which are sometimes stale and always unnecessary. I’ve never been able to eat the tasty potato salad or coleslaw with out suffering from discomfort, so perhaps there is dairy involved in them. The meat is nice and smoky but for me the sauce is far too sweet. So I stick with the Dip and add some of their hot sauce.

This is terrible barbecue. The brisket follows the age-old technique of, «if it’s tough and tasteless, slice it thin and slather it with sugary sauce.» Salmon is overcooked, and the pork has very little flavor. No smoke or wood character in any of the meats, either. Everything tastes like it was cooked in an electric cooker. No character, no love. Very disappointed.

I discovered this place when pregnant. It was surprising reasonable and delicious! For 3.99 you get a great meal – They load up your sandwich with their delicious pulled pork, and offer chips, coleslaw and a drink. If you are looking for BBQ– this place is the best I’ve found in the area– WAY better than Carolina Smoke in Bothell. The location is kind of difficult to find but look for miss Betty Boop and it’s right there. They have a good area to eat in if you prefer… or they make take out easy. Their food quality is great– the BBQ meat is some of the best around. I was thrilled with the tender and flavorful quality– and the generous portions. 2 thumbs up from me. And since I was born in Nashville and my hubby is from ATL, we know our BBQ! Try it, it’s delicious and easy on the wallet. Yum!

The fiancé and told me about Larry’s a million times and I always kind of poopood it, not imagining delicious BBQ to be in a little strip mall in Mill Creek. Well today I changed my tune. The man swung by and picked up BBQ for lunch. He had the po boy and the BBQ chicken. I took a bite of the po boy and it was delicious… It looked like it had salami or something on it. I ate the French dip which was super moist and came on the perfect roll. The ajus was also yummy and not too salty as is often the case w aujus. The sides of coleslaw and BBQ beams were also completely worthy. Guess I’m lucky to have been convinced of Larry’s deliciousness, it’s just down the road from work. Woohoo!

Just like everyone says, the place is not the easiest to find and the sauce can be too sweet for some… I’ve had the ½ brisket sandwich twice so far and I think it’s pretty darn good! The french bread they use is toasted so it’s got a tiny little crunch, but still nice and soft in the middle… not like a banh mi that’s old and dried out and then baked, so that every bite is like chewing on 200 grit sandpaper. The sandwich has an ok amount of meat, which may or may not be microwaved… although if it was, I think it’s still fine. The brisket has been very moist both times, but could use a little more smoke flavor. The sauce is sweet, kind of like a berry jam type of sweet, and is good, just not the type of sauce you’d want on, or in, all of your food(if you were to get more than just a sandwich). All and all, I’d say Larry’s is good and definitely worth eating, but they should really think about infusing a little more smoke flavor, going easier on the sauce that’s spread on your sandwich(since it is very sweet), and the two ladies should maybe be a tiny bit more friendly.

I love good BBQ and I have yet to find any in Seattle that was really superb. Chuck’s Hole in the Wall BBQ in Pioneer Square was decent but I always thought it lacked a true star item. Larry’s on the other hand, has a lot of character. And the way things were made showed an attention to detail. My friend and I got here at 6:30pm on a Thursday. It was really difficult to find the place at the night and the area looked deserted. Nevertheless, we went in and Mark greeted us. We each ordered half pulled pork sandwich. I had the black beans side and my friend had the potato salad. The pulled pork sandwich came out shortly after we ordered it. One thing I really like about the sandwich is the bread was toasted such that the BBQ sauce did not soak through the bread. The crispiness of the bread complimented well with the tenderness of the pulled pork. The BBQ sauce was flavorful. And the texture of the pulled pork was decent. The black bean side was very sweet so I don’t know if it’s quite heavenly, but it did create a nice contrast with the sandwich. Our sandwiches also came with tortilla chips and an extra serving of BBQ sauce. For $ 3.99, it was quite a steal. I probably could have used a side order of fries as I did not get to use my extra BBQ sauce at all. Mark did not rush us at all even though the place closed at 7pm. He was really friendly and the service was excellent. I can’t wait to go back and try the smoked salmon.
