First time customer of this place… I wish this place is a walking distanc from my house, otherwise I’m hang around here more often. We came here for dessert and coffee… I noticed that they serve more than coffee and dessert. The place is cozy, w/comfortable club chairs, book shelf, soft rock music… will definitely come back

Much better than the starbucks nearby because: A: it is not as crowded(inside). B: better coffee options! C: way more food options D: got a nifty inside set up… makes you feel like you are in a quasi brooklynesque place. Warning though… This place has become huge for soccer moms… and baby boomers in general… Oh and good luck finding parking… Great addition to this town nonetheless.

A great local chain and alternative to Starbucks. There is a nice assortment of food and the place has personality. Staff has always been friendly and I have often stayed for hours while grading papers. I have had the chicken caesar salad which was of good quality. Dark roast coffee is also very good. Prices are very reasonable and I think they have live music on certain days.

Excellent coffee! My favorite is the Van Halen, but honestly any of their coffees are delicious and come beautifully made. Staff is friendly and they answer any questions with a smile. Breakfast served all day long with many options. The décor has that hometown café feel. Great place for relaxing on your own or catching up with a friend.

Very friendly. I’ve had several of the coffees. Cold brew is good. Pumpkin Latte us available all year. And it should be! It’s that good! I look forward to trying all the different breakfast Toast. The smoked salmon with cream cheese and dill is my favorite so far. The breakfast sandwiches are hearty. I enjoy the staff as well as the atmosphere. Music is always good. I ordered the Chicken pesto sandwich for lunch and it was huge. The pesto sauce was do tasty the next day I ordered the egg and pesto sandwich. It did not disappoint. Parking can be tricky, but for me it’s worth driving around the block and walking.

Have been to Rockn Joes many times and live around the corner. Always stop by for breakfast or lunch after a bike ride. Food is great. Coffee is amazing. Love the outside chairs and seating. Classic rock in the background always a plus.

Reasonable prices. Can sit back and enjoy the coffee or smoothies without feeling rushed. Casual, artsy ambience. Haven’t tried their breakfast items but they looked good! Will return.

More comfortable than the Starbuck’s adjacent to this cool coffee house, and larger. The space is casual and a good place to meet friends. Nice leather chairs and the coffee is good. The outdoor seating and glass front, which can open up, gives it an nice airy, open feel too.

90 second walk from Starbucks with better coffee, better food(that’s more filling), generally better prices, more comfortable seating, open air windows, live music, and arguably better prices. They have pastries and sweets but also a full menu with food that will actually fill you up and keep you full. I have nothing at all against Starbucks, but this place is just better and I haven’t been back there since trying out this Rock n’ Joes. Great live music several days a week, friendly staff. Be patient with the coffee, it takes a little while for them to brew several types because they actually make it with the coffee grounds and pour over funnel things rather than brewing a lot and taking it from a thermos as the day goes on.

I absolutely love this café — it is so difficult to find authentic cafes. Rock’ Joe is great — it has a lot of options based on what you like and also your food sensitivities. The coffee is amazing and they have live music!

Last week we stopped by because the chairs outside reminded be of the beach. My husband had a special for checking in on Unilocal. He was given a drink or a coffee. He took his phone up to the counter and the cashier was clueless about what Unilocal was even though my husband handed him the phone. He reluctantly make the small ice coffee. Therefore, my rating.

People are afraid of trying new things. Try Rockn’ Joe and you won’t be disappointed. The coffee is fresher and more balanced than Starbucks, and they have a legitimate selection of food. Real variety of sandwiches make it a descent lunch spot. They have awesome music on the stereo, and live music Thursday nights. Tuesday night is live comedy! In short, they have better coffee than Starbucks. Try the cold brewed coffee first at Rockin Joe– it will be the next big thing.

If I can help it, I will always hit up a local spot(or local chain) before I go to a mega chain. This place is great… I don’t particularly care much for coffee, but they make an amazing mocha! I had a Nutella mocha from a small shop in Chicago once that made me a believer. After having a regular mocha here at Joes(it was outstanding!) I asked the barista if he knew of a recipe to incorporate Nutella into the mocha or if they would be able to come up with one. At that point he held up a jar of Nutella and told me he was already on it! Mind = blown. Today I get that Nutella mocha, and it sure as heck doesn’t disappoint. Like others have said, there’s great music, comfortable seating, and it’s incredibly welcoming to come spend a couple hours alone or with company.

I really, really like this place. The lattes are great and so is the food. The staff is friendly and attentive. Very comfortable atmosphere with oversized leather chairs and tables. I have read where the service can sometimes be slow but I usually go on Sunday mornings and the last thing I want to feel is rushed. I’m usually moving in slow motion and if they are, as well, I hadn’t noticed. Yesterday the bacon smelled so good that I had to order some. Was thin, crisp and delicious, although not a normal accompaniment to oatmeal. If I had one word of advice/criticism, they should make their own oatmeal, not serve instant. Otherwise, AOK. Oh, and the guitarist yesterday was great. Just trying to figure out why anyone would go to Starbucks when this gem is less than a block away. Hmmmm.

Loved the atmosphere, loved the coffee, loved the service… Came here with a friend that just moved to Millburn… We ordered coffee and sat down to wait for it… Drank it as we sat there and looked out the huge windows. Our barista was super cool… Wish I remembered his name… Guy with long hair… Made an iced coffee that was perfect… I wanted something not too sweet. I like to taste the coffee in my coffee and he understood and gave me exactly what I wanted…

Rockn’ Joe is a solid little coffee spot in Millburn and I recently found out this is not the only outpost, this seems to be quite a little chain in NJ(3 or 4 stores). It does give off that chainy vibe which I’m not opposed to, just has that vibe. The music was solid(ask Sheila A) and it was quiet. The staff was friendly and the coffee was good. The internet was super slow and intermittent which was disappointing as I was there to set up shop and work, which made it a bit hard. None of the food rang out so I passed, but definitely a solid option for coffee!
