i tried so many pizzas here. here goes… plain pie. yum! personal pie with peppers and basil. awesome! i loved how chopped up the basil was. so good! personal margherita pie. nice and saucey and cheesy. delish! personal griglia pie. that was very different for me and i’m glad i tried it. loved the balsamic chicken. wasnt over powering. cheese was gooey and peppers were good on it too. so far each week i tried something different and i loved everything. still need to try more :).

Firstly, Pizza is quite decent as are other dishes, one of the best in his area. However, sadly let down by delivery — this time being half hour beyond what they said(A small order, it was for a kids party, everyone left before it even got there — we’d left too). We’ll see if they reimburse us; which to be fair they said they would. Front«desk» not too friendly… Will rethink my choices in future.

Best pizza in Millburn area. The staff is super nice for take out, but the manager scolded a couple young children while we were there. New Jersey hospitality at its finest! Still, the buffalo chicken pizza is some of the best I’ve found. And give the Olde World Chicken a try if you’re sitting down. Great food, but not recommended for kiddos.

You’ve got to try the Italian-style Polo Francese with vegetables. The chicken is remarkably tender and tasty. The chicken just melted in my mouth. Definitely, give it a try. Our waitress, Kendall, recommended it. Glad she did.

This place is amazing, great seating, great service, and friendly staff. I live one block down from the restaurant and this is my go to place I always get pizza and chicken parmigiana. It’s terrific always. The delivery is terrific. The pizza is astonishing. I totally recommend this place.

Never disappoints. Been coming here for the past couple years. Great food and incredible service. Monica is fabulous. Always one of our go to places when we want good Italian and friendly faces.

Good food, but the delivery man yelled at me for making him wait, in front of other people, while I was at work, helping take care of patients, as a nurse. Pretty rude. Would never order from here again.

High quality, well made and well priced Italian food. In a town filled with more than enough Italian places to choose from, Trattoria Gianmarco stands tall. I am a regular patron, typically delivery but occasionally dine in. The staff is pleasant and friendly, the food is great and the deliveries are speedy. Good people, good food, good service, happy customer.

Good plain pie. Good chicken and veal parms. All the rest is just ok. Stick to just the pizza and you should be ok.

The service here is becoming horrific! I work in a busy office and we often get lunch from a local business and more often than not, it’s from Gian Marco. I understand once or twice it’s okay to mess up an order, or even forget something behind. It’s another thing when it happens multiple times a week! With only an hour lunch break to spare, it’s proving Gian Marco is not a reliable choice any longer. Salads and dishes that had specific instructions due to dietary or allergy concerns are messed up and often times the bags come in leaking of an oil or another unknown liquid. We’re sad to see what’s happening to a place we’d order from daily and hope they can once again get their thunder back.

I have just gotten takeout here but I heard dining in is even better. Here is the Tony run down of the food. Fried calamari — crispy and delicious. This is your usual good fried calamari. Italian hotdog — 2 hotdogs on one bun with onions and peppers. It was like a foot long. I did not try it but a guest ate the entire thing; I guess he liked it. Chicken parm entrée — this was incredibly good. The chicken, which is advertised as hormone and antibiotic free, was great. It was pounded out thin and breaded nicely. The cheese and sauce complimented it well. You get a choice of pasta or salad with every entrée so we got penne pasta. It was also very good. I would order this again. Lobster ravioli with shrimp — for me, this was the star of the show. The pink vodka sauce was delicious and the pasta seemed fresh. Additionally the ravioli had huge chunks of fresh lobster. It was not ground up or anything. Whole lumps. This was really good. I got the caesar salad with this. Everyone, including myself, remarked about how small it was. It was a little small for a caesar salad and especially compared to the side of pasta. But it was great. I enjoyed it so much. I would recommend this place to eat. Mangia!

Excellent pizza, and everything else we’ve had here has been consistently good or great. Nice family-friendly atmosphere. But what really inspired me to write this review is that their chocolate decadence cake is perhaps the best dessert I’ve ever had. It was pure chocoholic bliss.

Not what I expected after reading all the positive Unilocal reviews. Sub par Italian food. The bruschetta tasted like cafeteria food. I was particularly turned off by the stuffed artichoke which came high recommended by our waiter. Expecting a lovely array of garlic and oil, I was shocked by the brown gravy the artichoke was drowning in. What a bad combination of flavors. Entrees were flavorless.

This was my first time ordering from here. I ordered a half tray of chicken Savoy, described as chicken breasts sauted with garlic, onions, white wine finished in a balsamic reduction. When I opened the tray all I could see were tons of onion slices, swimming in a very dark sauce. The taste of the chicken was sweet almost as if had been cooked with sugar? Under all the onions there were enough pieced of chicken for 8 – 10 people. It was really a disappointment, and worst is that I had guest for dinner! I threw away most of the onion sauce, and attempted to fix this with some olive oil, No much luck!

I used to be a regular here, especially when I used to live next door in Kathryn Commons. Met up with some friends for dinner here(i was in the area) on a Tuesday night. It was empty… like Great Depression empty. I came a little early, and one of the guys who works in the front recognized me(mind you I haven’t been here in over 2 yrs!). Maybe I’m so memorable… or I could be that unmistakable Korean freak who always orders the same thing. But that was a nice friendly encounter… that’s worth at least a star. So my friends finally got there and the waitress was prompt to take our orders, fill our cups with waters and even gave us straws to sip the water!!! Amazing!!! Now for dinner: I ordered the pear/walnut/cranberry/shrimp salad. An excellent salad, but the shrimp were grilled and tasted funny. They had a little of the ash dust in them, like when you scrape the burned crust off with a steel wool scraper and it happens to flake on the food(in this case the shrimp). Like volcano ash. I think this salad would be stellar without the shrimp. The taste profiles just don’t really compliment one another. Now for the main dish: I ordered a personal pizza with just a «dusting» of mozzarella, topped with grilled chicken(as much as they can put on), and a side order of French fries(bc potato and fries really go hand and hand — kind of like French fries and ketchup). The pizza was nothing short of spectacular… id have to say even better than what I tasted in Italy when traveling the Amalfi Coast. Perfect crust to tomato sauce ratio, very crispy crust(how did they manage that?), and excellent chicken seasoning with good sized chopped green pepper(they cut the pieces just right to unlock the flavor of the vegetable). The French fries were excellent — they weren’t the super crispy kind. Instead, they had the skin on. Not too greasy and excellent potato content. As jersey is BYOB, I paired my meal with the perfect beverage — diet coke. No wedge of lemon(which annoys the bejesus out of me), but the flavoring to carbonation was perfect. They know what they’re doing with the fountain mix. I would say it was appropriately sized cup, not overloaded with ice, and that straw was there again — unbelievable. Gianmarco has, hands down, the best personal pizza I have tasted. If you read my other reviews, you know that I’m a connoisseur of fine pizza, so I know what I’m talking about. I’m still thinking about how they got the crust so crispy… one of life’s great mysteries I guess!

This is the wisest of Pizza options in the Millburn area. The prices and food quality options are much better than others and the service is good to boot.

Good food. Good service. One of the best things i ate here was one of there Thursday lunch specials. the mozzarella pita. Its out of this world! Fresh pita hot out of the oven. stuffed with salad tomato and mozzarella. Sounds so simple but really is so delicious. Prices are not bad either. Great pizza. Only thing i have eaten that i did not like was the cavatelli and broccoli. left a lot to be desired. I work not far from them so a few of us girls sometimes order lunch from here. great place to go for a quick slice but if you plan to go on your lunch during work make sure you give yourself enough time. they get quite busy around noon.

I wish I could comment on their food, but the reason I’m writing this is because we never got to eat it! I never write reviews, but after the service we received tonight I felt compelled to comment. We placed an order for delivery at 6pm, and were told they were extremely busy and it would be an hour wait. Not starving yet, we decided to wait. After 7, when the food had not arrived, we called for a status update. They told us the driver had just left and the food would be there in 5 – 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, still no food, we called again. AGAIN we were told it would be 5 – 10 minutes. We told them we would wait 15 more minutes and then would have to to cancel the order. At about 8pm we finally called to cancel the order. Literally as we were calling to place an order at another local spot the driver showed up. We asked if the food was cold, since we expected he was on the road for a while. He said he had just gotten in out of the oven. So either he was not being honest, or the person on the phone was not. My guess is the food wasn’t even made the first time we called for an update. Either way, out of principle we were not about to pay for it at that point. He said he would call the restaurant to see what he could do, but then he took the food and left. When I called to ask to speak to the manager they told me he wasn’t there tonight, and I should call back tomorrow. Clearly I’m not going to waste any more time speaking to this place, and we will never be ordering from this place again!
