MYFAVORITEBAKERYONTHEPLANET!!! Incredible cheese tarts, great apple fritters, long johns, pies, fry pies, cookies. Get there early if visiting on a Saturday — they sell out. The best! Oh, and the cheese tarts freeze well…

One word… Yum! If you go to Amish country, or even just driving through, you HAVE to go to Miller’s Bakery. It’s a small little place that’s a little hard to find because it’s off the beaten path. But it is so worth it. We go solely for the tarts, but the other stuff looks great too. They have the usual, breads, pies, cookies, jams, etc. Now on to these tarts… The tarts are probably the best thing I’ve ever tasted in my life, and I am seriously not exaggerating. They charge $ 0.75 each, and $ 0.80 for the pecan. They have different kinds, such as lemon, cherry, blueberry, strawberry and a couple of others, but the cheese tart is THE best. Go early. They are usually sold out of the tarts(or at least some of the flavors) by afternoon. We actually call ahead and place a special order for tarts when go. You will not be disappointed. And don’t forget that just about everything in Amish country, including Miller’s Bakery is closed on Sundays.

Millers Bakery is a good place to start your day in Amish country. Walking into the store I felt like I was transported into the past. This old fashioned bakery offers fresh baked breads, donuts, bulk dry goods and much more. The cheese tarts were heavenly. Should have bought a dozen of them. The prices are probably the best in the area.
