Stopped in here with the wife for lunch. The staff was friendly, drinks were well made and prompt, food was decent. It was exactly what we wanted. Just a little pub to stop in, grab a quick bite and a drink. Will come here again.

Went here for a Paint Nite tonight, which was a lot of fun and you should absolutely try it. just somewhere else. The staff here seems to only care about their regulars and couldn’t of cared less about everyone there for the paint nite. We were greeted and asked if we wanted drinks and handed a menu, and then that was it. No one ever came back to ask us what we wanted. So, in the middle of painting I had to get up and find the waitress/bartender and give her our order and then get up whenever we wanted a refill on a drink or needed any extra condiments with our food. We were given sodas with no straws, I walked up to the bar and reached over it to get my own straws. The absolute only time the waitress showed up was when it was time to pay the bill. The staff acted completely inconvenienced and bothered by all of the new potential customers! This is clearly a place for locals and regulars, not so much anyone new trying it out. Also, my cheese quesadilla I ordered was filled with loads of ranch dressing. I like ranch dressing, but I didn’t feel like drinking my quesadilla either! This place needs a new chef and friendlier staff.

This is a warm & friendly place. My BBQ chicken quesadilla was fresh and tasty. Service was attentive & friendly. Did not feel rushed. Will definitely bring my friends & family here.

My family and I love Ellie’s. They have great wings and service! Everything on their menu is delicious and on Saturday nights they have karaōke, which is always fun! I’m glad we live so close to this place!

Good local bar with fantastic happy hour specials. Even off happy hour their prices are very reasonable. The wait staff(typically bartender) pay special attention the their locals… and they get a good amount of locals on a regular basis. I stick with the wings here and they are always done to my satisfaction. In my book you would go here for cheap beer, watch a football game and stuff some chicken wings down your suck.

I have been to this place about 10x in 5 yrs and most of the time the service is horrble. Food is not bad and it is a nice looking bar. Bartenders ignore you and give you attitude when ask about the happy hr. Both women eating behind the bar at the same time while i wait 15 mins to pay for 1 beer. Place is not busy… Always regret coming here… but i live close so i want to like the place. Hope they read this…

It wasn’t my choice to go here and I was a little intimidated walking in, just because there were so many tough looking people there even away from the bar, but the service is so nice here. :) The nachos were pretty ordinary as far as nachos can go, they seemed to have more sour cream than one would expect, which may turn some people off but I love sour cream! I don’t eat wings but my friends got them and they said they were extremely good, and very hot! I plan to go back, and hopefully my nachos have too much sour cream again!

When I lived in Millersville this was my go to spot. Fantastic food excellent service great friendly environment I couldn’t ask for anything more. I recently moved pretty far away and wish I could have packed this place up and brought it with me!

Very good wings! I love their wings and other them getting our order wrong once(gave us bone-in rather boneless) which they did fix by giving us a free order of the correct wings the next time we came in I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I will being coming here as often as my wallet can afford as they are a little price for wings and bar food.

Ordered take out wings and fries here for the first time the other day when we had a craving for Wings To Go(their other business name or something) They didn’t disappoint! Got four different flavors of wings and some fries. The wings were all delicious and lived up to the name. Only docked one star because the waffle fries were overlooked and too crunchy but we still ate them.

I dig the place for what it is. The first time I went with my dad and boyfriend on a whim to grab some burgers and beers. We got what we came for. Ellie’s is all decked out in wood; wood bar, tables, etc. The inside was way nicer than I expected. We sat at a high table by the bar and soon the waitress came over and got our drink orders and gave us menus. It was all pretty simple, fried bar food. But that’s cool since that’s what we were in the mood for! The waitress was super nice also and kept our drinks filled the entire time. The burgers and chicken that I got did not disappoint. My bf got the«Hangover» burger which he loved. I was told the fries were also very tasty! The only thing I did not like was the country music. I get it, this part of Millersville is a little more hickish, but I’m not a fan. It wasn’t terribly loud though, so still standable for me. Ellie’s during the day is definitely a place you can bring any crowd also. Sit at the bar with friends or a table with family, it has a warm and welcoming feeling. Our second trip was a late night last stop for a drink before going home type thing. Again we had a decent time! There were about 4 other couples sitting around the bar hanging out, low music and you could tell everyone knew each other. The young guy bartender was very nice and accommodating. When we asked for some kind of tasty, not too girly shot he mixed some 3 Olives«Loopy» vodka(smelled like Fruit Loops) and RumChata. I’d call it a Fruity Breakfast or something if I could name it. ITWASDELISH! The kind of thing I want to make at home. except it’s probably very sugary. A nice end to our night out, glad we stopped at Ellie’s. Update: The wings are AWESOME. Overall, really good fried bar food.

Bar food is all ya get! Canned, bottled, jarred, slow and lazy but that is just the kitchen. Wait and bar staff are as nice as can be. It is a great place to have beer and watch the game – Just don’t expect anything from the food! I had garbage nachos and wings that were not crispy with very little sauce. They only cook their burgers one way and I think that is because they can’t trust the meat or the cook… no chefs in this place!

Stopped in here about 5 months ago. Friend and I were hungry at 8pm, and didn’t want fast food. So we decided to give Ellie’s a go. We ordered drinks. Her, an Amaretto Sour(good), and myself a Blue Moon(warm). We each ordered burgers, after the waittress/bartender raved about how each is made fresh, never frozen. No, her name wasn’t Wendy. So our burgers make it out, and they had mixed up the orders. Toppings missing from mine, and unwanted toppings on hers. Instead of making her a new burger, sans mustard, they tried to scrape off the mustard, and re-served it. As for mine, they simply brought my missing toppings out. We bite into them, and realize they are most definitely Bubba Burgers, and most definitely NOT fresh. $ 8-something for a frozen burger. Nice. I’ll take Red Robin or 5 Guys any day! On the plus side: service was friendly and apologetic. The interior was shockingly better than expected, as compared to the shabby exterior. The fries were hot and crispy.

I wanted to try the wings and see if Ellie’s could accommodate a largish happy hour-type group. This is a kind of dive-y sports bar(Ravens and O’s). It was a Wednesday evening so it wasn’t massively busy or loud. The TVs weren’t turned up. We ordered three flavors of boneless wings, medium, hot, and terryaki. The wings were of a generous size with a crispy coating and sauce tossed on. We thought they were a little salty. I would say they were alright not awesome. Service was a bit slow considering how few folks were there. Not sure I’d go back except it does seem like a good place for that largish happy hour-type group as they have an available back room.

ordered wings. Pretty straightforward, 40 hot and 20 chesapeake. got there to pick them up, missing 20 hot. Got an apology from the guy behind the counter, made the rest of the order while the ones made died in the window. The«manager» seemed more interested in text messaging his friends that working. Went to pay for them with a credit card and the yutz behind the counter tells me the credit card machine hasn’t been working. Tried it again and chuckles“oh, here it goes.“ Tried to get orders from this location two other times, both were disasters. How hard is it to make wings? Go to the glen burnie location. At least there, they only screw up the dressing they give you. Also, when we got them home, the celery was in with the wings. Nothing like hot celery to go with your wings.

Ellie’s Place has hosted one of my more awkward dining experiences. A few friends and I stopped here after a Bowie Baysox game for a drink and early dinner. All the food is a la cart so for some chicken fingers and fries I ended up spending more than I would have liked to. The food was fine, nothing too special and the drinks were fairly priced. The barrel tables are pretty neat. The interior is typical of many of sports bars, large tv’s, O’s and Raven gear. Our waitress tolerated us but wasn’t very friendly either. To the awkwardness: When we arrived we were the only group seated, save for a few regulars at the bar. Just when we get our food and start to enjoy our selves, a man who I believe to be the owner starts to setup a very elaborate karaōke system directly next to our table which I figured they would be using later in the evening when the place fills up a bit more. I was wrong. This man turns the mic up to full blast(there is absolutely no way to talk over him or avoid his direct stares) and proceeds to serenade my group of friends. We finish and pay as quickly as we can and leave doing our best to politely brush off our personal entertainer–«sure you don’t want to give ‘er a try ladies?» The weirdness aside. I didn’t like hate this place, but I wasn’t that impressed either and under normal circumstances I would have rated a 3.

Ellie’s Place had been under construction for a long time and finally now it’s finished and open. Ellie’s is kind of unique in the fact that it’s a bar on one side and attached to it is a Wings To Go fast food joint. Since Ellie’s doesn’t serve any food, you can just go up to the Wings To Go window and order whatever you like. I was surprised at how cozy this place really is. They have TVs throughout the place so that you can enjoy the games. They have sports memorabilia all over the walls(since we’re so close to Baltimore you can guess what stuff they have). They even have a wall of shame next to the bathrooms that include pictures of Barry Bonds, Jose Canseco and Pete Rose. What’s really cool is that some of their bar seating is actually converted farm barrels. They look really neat and add a different element to the place. The one knock though is that they have live music. Well, that’s really not the knock… the knock is that the music is incredibly loud. Boy, I sure sound like an old fart, but the place isn’t that big that you have to drown out everything around you. We couldn’t even have a conversation even though we were two feet apart. They do offer some quality beer and the place is well made and just looks really nice. If you have a moment, stop by and check it out. Well done.
