Finish Line Pub

Disappointing for its location at what is essentially a country club for race car drivers. With the number of Porsches in the parking lot, I expected much more in terms of selection and execution.
I’ve been here a few times, but I believe this was the first time I ate anything. Standard pub fare. The chef’s salad was generous, though it felt like various cubes of meat and cheese in various sizes were a little too liberally thrown on the plate. Also disappointing was the four-​pack of Ken’s salad dressing bottles brought out with the salad; a restaurant like this can’t even make their own vinaigrette?
You would think a place that caters to upscale racers would have a good sampling of craft beer, but you’d be mistaken. Their taps include Coors light, Yeungling, Blue Moon, Sam Adams, and a rotating craft beer. If you’re spending a day at the track, you don’t have many other food options, but I certainly wouldn’t seek this place out for a nice meal.

I am going to try my best to curb the profanity but this was the worst f-​ing food & dining experience we have EVER had!!! 4 of us, after 6 hours of racing went here for dinner.
There were 3 ppl at the bar & NO OTHER tables seated. That should have been a sound warning but we were hungry. Waitress was horrible. We saw her twice the entire time. We had to walk up to the bar for refills & to re-​ask for the 2 condiments we asked the waitress for.
We ordered the following…
Thai buffalo wings — ok. blue cheese was gross but wings were ok.
Seared ahi tuna — F-​ing DISGUSTING. Tuna was cooked through & thrown into a heap on the plate! Literally not edible.
Onion soup. No taste
French dip & cheese steak. Ok. I was PISSED! How do you serve meat SO burnt to someone that it is BLACK & literally cannot be torn apart? Even my roll was black from over toasting. God I wish I took a picture!
Steak was asked to be served medium rare. Served brown the entire way through.
Again, we asked for refills & had to ask the bartender when the waitress never showed up. Same with the condiments. I am FURIOUS that I spent over $ 100 for a meal there!!! There was NO ONE to complain to, except the bartender who just apologized saying our waitress was tied up. Really? Because we
were the ONLY table there!!!
And there obviously was a reason. Stay AWAY from this place!!! There is a Wawa down the street with better food and service!!!

UPDATE… It is now 1:17 a.m. & I am physically ill. I am so mad at myself for even trying that tuna considering how bad it looked!!! :(
I feel awful!!! :(

On a recent trip to the NJ motorsports raceway, we decided to grab a bite in the pub while waiting for the rain to stop and racing resume. There were about 7 people at the bar, and no other patrons in the entire place. Our party of 6 went into the dining room. The lobster Mac n cheese was delicious $ 15. Burgers looked yummy.
The food was very good, BUT I would rate the service 3 on a scale of 1 – 10. There were at least 3 servers on, yet our server disappeared constantly and was always at the bar
” hanging out” with the other servers. My daughter spilled water and an employee eating on break was the one to get us napkins.
We were never asked for drink refills, if we needed anything else, or for desert. We had to ask each and every time by flagging her down, or asking another server as they passed by. After the water spill, my daughter asked for another (because it wasnt obvious) and for 5 minutes she watched it while it sat on the counter while we located our server to bring it over!
Our server told us the kitchen put in our entrees before the appetizers, so we were served our entrees, …then appetizers No apology, just finger pointing.
When we asked for the check, instead of putting it in my extended hand, she put it on the table, as I was trying to take it from her.
I suggest that the pub re– trains this particular server on customer «service» especially when she has NO OTHER TABLES. We don’t mind this type of service if they’re busy, but this was the worst service I’ve seen in a long time. Sorry…
The food WAS really good, so I gave the food 4 stars.
