I used to go here every so often for their carne asada fries… But my BF introduced me to their chicken nachos!!! Normally, I don’t really enjoy shredded meats just because of the texture or how dry many places serve the meat… But Burrito Express’ chicken nachos consists of super tender shredded chicken, melted cheese, lettuce & sour cream, over a bed of tortilla chips(seasoned with salt which I totally appreciate). Not too pricy and fills you up! Plus, the customer service is always great.

Their Veggie burrito(wheat tortilla) with black beans is superb. Great customer service especially the guy named Shakeel.

So-so burrito. It’s a little pricier for a mom-pop operation. The flavors are bland and generic. The cooked meats don’t really inspire me and I only come here if others insist it. It’s so flavorless that I have to put spicy salsa in their burritos when I eat it. A lot of high school trolls come here so it keeps them in business but that’s about it. I prefer taquerias that prepare their burritos like an assembly right in front of you. It’s not so complicated, just beans, meat, rice, etc and wrap it up well. What’s important is the flavor and this place doesn’t inspire me, I shouldn’t have to reach for spices or salsa to help cover up the weak burrito.

I had food poisoning after eating their food. My partner had to babysit me as I was crouched over the toilet, very weak, and nauseous for 3 days :( DAMMITBURRITOEXPRESS. NEVERAGAIN!

I finished working out at 24 next door and was pretty hungry so I decided to give this place a try. I got the original burrito because I didn’t really want the extra carbs from rice and fat from sour cream in the express burrito. Was a little disppointed they didn’t have al pastor or pollo asado, but they had carnitas and shredded chicken.(I’m not a huge fan of shredded meat). So I got the carne asada original burrito and got some salsa and medium sauce. The burrito was pretty big! The beans had a lot of flavor and the carne asada was really good, not too tough or dry. The only problem I had was that it was a little hot for me inside. I produce a lot of heat myself so I’m pretty sensitive to heat and was sweating inside. I would come back and get it to go and eat it outside with the breeze!

I was first introduced to this place back in my sophomore year of high school. It was a walking distance from Milpitas High School. I would usually get a California Burrito or the Carne Asada Fries. The California Burrito is a burrito with french fries, sour cream, and meat. Its soooo good and the size of it is decent. The Carne Asada Fries is just fries, sour cream, strips of lettuces, and meat. You could also change the fries into chips but I prefer fries. These two items are my absolute favorite. The portion of both is decent for the price its worth.

Great comfort food for the price. Last time I came here was in high school… still as good as before! I recommend the chicken nachos and the carne asada fries!

I was in the area and was craving for a burrito. According to Unilocal, the closest location is Burrito Express. The reviews were pretty good and highly recommended the Express. The place is pretty small and crowded. I had to get in line near the door. The cashier was really nice and took my order. He could be the owner, but not sure. The order took about 10 minutes, pretty normal for an authentic Mexican food. The burrito wasn’t so bad, but I was hoping for a bigger size. They did add a good amount of carne asada though. I forgot to asked them to add more sour cream =(.

At first glance, nothing seems all that great about this place. The types of meats they offer are limited, salsa bar is small, and the décor is minimal. However, don’t let all those«negatives» stop you from trying this place out, most notably this place is popular by many of the locals around here. I’ve seen this place hundreds of time but never stopped in to try it until I had to run an errand nearby. I wasn’t feeling like a taco or burrito that day and decided to try their nachos. Can I just say, «OMFG! Why haven’t I tried this place sooner?!» after my first bite of their nachos. I know, you think nacho, some chips, some meat, cheese and lettuce, «What’s the big deal?» You’ve got to try it to believe it. The chips were thin and crisp. The cheese melted perfectly. The shredded beef was flavorful, mix it all together and you have really good nachos that even my picky sibling enjoyed. Looks like they have breakfast burritos available as well, but it isn’t on the menu. I’ll be back soon enough to give the other items a try.

Had the carne asada fries twice so far and always on point! I was always hesitant about this place because of the name(sounds like fast food mexican food like taco bell) but it’s not! One of the most authentic mexican places you’ll eat at around Milpitas! Can’t wait to try their other items.

I seriously LOVE this place! The Express burrito is so good! And I love the shredded beef here! I’ve gotten a chimichanga before but it wasn’t as good as the express burrito. The pico de gallo here is on point and pairs perfectly with the burrito. I was introduced to this place from a classmate of mine back in high school, we had spanish class together, so just about every week he would take our orders and we would have food from here every Friday. This was like 2005 – 2006, yeah a while back and I still go here for burritos. My mom isn’t a fan of mexican food, but she loves the burrito and pico from here. To this day, I still go here. The service is usually good, and I have never had a problem.

We lived in the area for 18 years and this place is a huge local favorite, authentic or not. Local opinion is that Tacqueria Las Vegas’ food is only comparable to the garbage at Burrito Express. Bottom line, try it yourself and decide whether you agree with the locals or not!

I was expecting a delicious meal but the«original steak burrito» is pretty bland. All I can taste is pinto beans. The staff was very friendly and the place is clean. I doubt I’ll go back though.

I have loved this place since I was a little kid and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I love this place because you can order an express burrito and add your own salsa to taste instead of it already on the burrito messing up the flavor… I actually prefer this over Chipotle believe it or not… My only complaint now is that the prices went up and it kinda seems like the portions are smaller but I guess thats the same story for most places(including Chipotle). The owner is a really nice guy too, he could pay other people to do all the work and he just writes the checks but he is back there making the food too so that’s pretty cool. Hope you guys could expand to Santa Clara so I don’t have to drive so far ;-)

Carne asada is WAYBETTER than Las Vegas taqueria. California burrito with carne asada, fries extra crispy 5⁄5 stars Express burrito with carne asada or chicken, no beans 5⁄5 stars Chicken nachos 5⁄5 stars Consistency is everything and this is way better than a lot of high end Mexican places.

Stopped by here after working out at the 24 hour fitness next door. I wanted to be somewhat healthy so I got a taco salad. Came with a hard flour taco shell, sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce and a choice of beef or chicken. The cashier recommended chicken, so I followed her lead. Very decently priced, it was about $ 4.50. My friend got the express burrito which was only $ 5 too! The food came out immediately and there was a salsa bar to accompany the food. The burrito was very big for just $ 5 and was packed with beans, rice, meat, cheese and other noms. My taco salad also looked heavenly in the brightest greens sitting in the taco bowl. The taco shell tasted very doughy, I had to drink water everytime I took a bite of it. They were very generous with the chicken which was buried under the salad. The chicken didn’t have as much flavour to it, so I had to dunk it with salsa. My friend gobbled up her whole burrito though and it’s only in rare moments that I see her actually finish a meal, so it must have been really good! I’ll definitely want to get the burrito next time!

I had a vegetarian burrito, and it wasn’t very tasty. The hot salsa gave the burrito some flavor. My husband ordered the shredded chicken burrito and he said that the chicken was pretty good. Considering that my husband doesn’t like to eat chicken, it must be tasty. The good thing about this place is the cheap prices since the burritos were less than $ 5 each.

I personally really like burrito express for the food and friendly service. I began going here after middle and high school as it is closest taqueria to Milpitas high school and Russell middle school. My typical order is a carne Asada burrito or carne Asada fries. Their carne Asada has a very distinctive taste, it is not like typical carne Asada. If you are looking for traditional mexican food, it is not the place for you. I would say it is a Americanized tasting burrito. The green sauce is bomb and their pico de gallo is delicious! The place is very tiny, but they are fast and welcoming. I have never had a bad experience with their food or horchata! The price is right at 5 $ for a good size burrito, I have been a faithful and loyal customer since 2002 :)

All Milpitas High School alum have spent copious off-campus lunches jockeying for an outside table at Burrito Express. Prices are excellent — $ 5 for a burrito with choice of meat, rice, beans, cheese and sour cream. $ 2.50 for a chile relleno or an enchilada. In high school, we used to get the lunch special, a burrito and a drink, and split it. Generous portions were always enough for two. For special occasions, we’d splurge on the chicken nachos with extra sour cream. Excellent salsa and pico de gallo, kept chilled. Heap it on. Stopped in last week for a stewed beef burrito and to hear sophomores’ entertaining discourse on everything from Miley Cyrus to Marcel DuChamp.
