Amazing, delicious, and my favorite place in South Bay.

First impression when you walk into Dishdash is a warm and friendly environment. The décor is beautiful with great lighting that is neither harsh nor too dark. If you have never been to Dishdash before I recommend sitting at the bar. The bartender was really informative and helped me choose my meal after going over all of the options. If you are looking a great drink try out the Lavender Prosecco. It’s devine! There is a huge variety of food to try here. I decided on the Beriani Dajaj and it blew my mind. The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy. The rice was perfectly cooked and it paired well with the yogurt sauce. I fully recommend trying this place out. I know I have a new favorite!

Dish dash is very much a bistro environment. We had a couple of drinks at the bar while we waited for a table. The drinks are unique, made with fresh ingredients, and incredible. I recommend the Very Berry. For dinner we had the vegetarian M’shakaleh and the Salmon and both were insanely delicious! All of the staff was wonderful, but our server was Mitra and she was very sweet and took purrfect care of us. We will ABSOLUTELY be back.

Again, great place! This time had the chance to eat inside the place. I usually order for delivery through delivery apps. The place has a very nice vibe and atmosphere, super packed during lunch! Make reservations ahead of time for parties of 3 or more! The service was great and the food was also extremely good. Chicken Kebab was very juicy and was not dry. The rice was good, even though I ordered Reekah I was not sure if I even got it since my other co-worker who got the same dish, got the same rice as me. :(. Sad… Very modern like feel and really good food! Definitely will come back to this place

This place is as good as the original dish dash I had 12 years ago. WOW!!! And you better come at 11:30 for lunch as even then, there is a wait out the door. It’s that good. I sat at the bar, got the chicken shawerma with salad. The shawerma is to die for. One bite, and there is so much juice oozing out of the wrap. phenomenal flavor that i’m still devouring, even when i’m full! But, i always like more sauce, so i got an extra side of the garlic yogurt sauce. OMG!!! I could drink that stuff. A couple of more dollars compared to other good local middle eastern joints, but well worth it.

I came here a couple days ago and this was the second time I have ever been here. The first time I did not enjoy the food but I decided to give it a second chance. The food was a lot better this time but due to prices I doubt I will come back but will go if friends want to eat here. Location/Interior Design: the restaurant is located next to Black Angus and there was a lot of parking. Outside seating is always right away and they do have warmer things so it was not so bad. It did start to rain a little bit we finished our food already so we didn’t mind it too much. They also said once a table open up they would move us inside if we wanted to. Inside looks like and lights are lightly dimmed. The restaurant is a good size if you have a big party they will most likely be able to get a good table. 5 stars for this category. Food: I ordered the Kufta Kebab which tasted a lot better than whatever I ate here the first time. I would had like meat better if they did not overcook it which made it dry but it still had good spices for taste. The vegetables that you get with it are artichoke and squash which tasted really good or worked well with the meat. I also enjoyed the green dipping sauce on the side which made the meat less dry. So in all I would say the flood is worth 4 stars Portion/Price: The portioning of the food is a good amount and is filling. Although this place is a little bit more pricy than others so I do not know if I will be coming back here due that it is a little more expensive while I can find a place that is a little cheaper. There was a weird black things my water so I was iffy of drinking it so they might want to make sure glasses are clean. I did although the the presentation of the food was good too. 3 stars in all for this category. Service: The service here was quick and attentive. They were always refilling our water glasses and they were friendly. I did feel like we had multiple waiters or waitresses. So in all I was satisfy with their service on this day. 5 stars.

Fairly nice place but lacks the ambiance of the original. The inside of the restaurant is loud during busy hours. Food is not as good as the original in Sunnyvale. Flavors are close but the kitchen focuses on presentation over delivering robust flavors. However it does have outdoor seating which is nice when the winds are favorable in Milpitas(if you don’t know what I’m talking about, then … Well let it be a surprise)

Although good, this place was a bit overhyped to me. Despite the place being packed, we didn’t have much of a wait when we came in just before the 6PM rush. Decent service, but sometimes waitress disappeared for periods of time. Free bread and olive oil/balsamic pairing. As for the food, we ordered: –Maza sampler: not a fan of most of these except the hummus and falafel; seemed too citrusy –Combo(shish taouk + kufta kebab and tika kebab): phenomenal! I loved the beef and chicken, though the beef+lamb blend was a bit dry –Reyash: amazing, decadent for lamb lovers! –Chocolata: really rich molten lava cake, took about 15 minutes to make, I wish there was more of the molten center Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience and I really enjoyed the entrees we ordered. The appetizer was underwhelming and the dessert seemed too rich that I could barely taste the sweetness(if that make sense lol). Will be back when in the mood for kebabs!

Solid kebabs. I like to get the whole barn on my plate with 3 kebabs and the sausage. I immediately put half in a to go container because eating everything would put me in a coma. Their spin on a margarita is tasty and refreshing but could use a little more alcohol. I downed 4 without a buzz anywhere… is the first step admission?!? Great place for business lunches and dinner with plenty to take home. Make a reservation because it gets PACKED!!!

Lunch on the weekend is not nearly as chaotic as lunch during the week so if you are shopping at McCarthy Ranch this may be a nice option. There’s a seating area outside but I opted for inside. The tables must be on some type of pads that let them move easily; it was odd to have the table shifting with just a little nudge. Ignoring that, on to the food. I had the Lamb Shawarma Wrap(side of fries) with EXTRATOPPINGS — marinated cabbage, grilled eggplant, and grilled mushrooms & onions. The extra toppings are $ 1 each so I would expect to get a decent amount. The wrap definitely had flavor but I couldn’t find much tomato and cucumber, which come as part of the wrap, and after a number of bites I was still looking for the marinated cabbage, mushrooms and eggplant. The onions were obvious. I opened up the wrap and still couldn’t find much evidence of the extras. Where were the rest of the toppings? The waiter noticed me examining the inside of the wrap and I told him I couldn’t find the extra toppings. He took it away and brought me another wrap. I saw the cabbage this time! The fries were oddly very dry.

Nothing like the original one in Sunnyvale. Came with high expectations as heard the meat is halal. Well, only the chicken shawarma is! So We did get the shawarma– it was nice but nothing spectacular. The mashakleh was decent The mansaf had no flavors. Was like few pieces of lamb in yogurt. The salmon kebab was soft and delicious The Décor is good. The service a bit lacking

I really enjoy this place! I forgot the name of what I ordered but it’s chicken in Cubes? It’s really flavorful and yummy! Of course these kinds of foods are pricey but I can understand why! Lol. I’d go here again! Definitely want to take my family here this time!

If I could bring all of my friends with me to one place to eat, it would be Dishdash Grille. Dishdash defines Mediterranean food like no other restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s the rare example of a place I just can’t get enough of. Dishdash’s Mansaf is an elevation of the art of flavor to its highest level, unlike anything I’ve tasted before. The rice is always perfect, seasoned lamb melts off the fork into your mouth, but the truly unique and unbelievable flavor is the sauce. One friend I brought looked skeptically at my plate and called my beloved Mansaf«rice and gravy» until she tasted it and her eyes popped out of her head. My second favorite is Beriani Dejaj, which is reminiscent of Indian Biryani, but with chicken, not spicy, and again bathed in an indescribable sauce. If I could lick the plate without humiliating myself I would. I’ve also tried wraps and salads, all of which were excellent. I’m a dark beer lover and indulge in a Moose Drool Brown Ale(the darkest they carry), which complements the flavor of the food nicely. Dishdash is always busy midday with Silicon Valley business lunchers. We go at 11:30 and are seated immediately. If you are in the San Jose area and looking for freakishly awesome food, try Dishdash!

A friend recommended this place and it definitely lived up to the hype! It’s a nice, trendy restaurant, and I love the outdoor seating area. The only downside is that it does get pretty chilly in the evenings, especially if you’re not sitting close enough to one of the heat lamps outside. Although we were seated fairly quickly, we were kind of far away from the heat lamps outside. If you’re like my friend and me and have trouble narrowing down the variety of menu options, go with the sampler! Each of the six sampler items was very delicious and flavorful, and went very well with the pita they give you. If you’re a first-timer, go for one of the grilled entrees, since those seem to be the most popular. Drinks were also pretty good. I ordered the«Sweet Heat,» which tasted exactly like it sounds, only without any mouth-burning heat, thank goodness. Service was amazing — our waitress was very sweet and patient with us, and she checked on us regularly to see how we were doing. Definitely a fun place to hang out for a weekend dinner!

This is my favorite Mediterranean joint in all of California! Both Sunnyvale and Milpitas locations are equally delicious… though I had a more pleasant experience in Milpitas because we were seated outside with great weather and comfortable décor. Regardless, I highly do recommend you try the kabobs, as the ones I tried were very flavorful and delicious(Kufta kabob – minced/ground lamb and beef). They also give a good amount, so do prepared to come with a big appetite. The lamb shawarma salad was also yummy, and tasted very refreshing, light, and of great quality – the creamy dressing was not overbearing at all, and mellowed out the sharper flavor of the meat, but in the best way. The favorite was the appetizer sampler – specifically the eggplant one that started with ‘M’(M’ze – something something), which was slightly smoky and packed full of flavor. The hummus is also very creamy, and pairs well with not only the pita bread that accompanied it, but also with all of our entrees. Our server was also funny and on point with everything… they’ve got it all here. Give it a try!

Based on the rave reviews from the Sunnyvale sister store, I decided to give the Milpitas branch a shot at my first experience with Middle Eastern food. That was about 2 years ago. Since then, I’ve been here about 20 – 30 times. Some of them eating in, but most for to-go orders. I haven’t even come close to trying the whole menu. In fact, I don’t even think I’ve tried half. Maybe not even a third! But, everything I’ve had has been pretty good. My go-to dish is the grill combo with Shish Taouk(chicken breast) and Shish Kebab(lamb). I’ve also tried the Tika Kebab(cubes of Angus beef) and the Kufta Kebab(beef and lamb meatballs). Those 2 are good, but can sometimes be a little dry. All grill items come with a green sauce/chutney of some sort that is awesome. Also, make sure to ask the waiter for the hot sauce. It’s kind of like the sambal oelek at Asian restaurants, but not as spicy. I’ve also tried the Rotisserie chicken which is very good. For those of you with kids, and probably finicky appetites, they will like this a lot. The Middle Eastern spices on the chicken aren’t overpowering and you can order them with french fries. I’ve also had the Mansaf, which is lamb cooked in yogurt. Not bad, but I’d definitely want the grill items instead. If you’re a salad person, try the Fattoush salad. The veggies are fresh and all, but the star is the pomegranate dressing. It’s different and oh so good. If you have room for dessert, you NEED to get the baklava crumble. It is so good, that you might want to get that as your appetizer, as well! The simple dessert is basically vanilla bean ice cream with baklava crumbled on top. But, when you first taste it, it will feel like the first time you got to third base with your boyfriend or girlfriend! Like I said, I normally get my order to-go. You can phone your order in anytime after 11am and pick it up shortly thereafter. They have a few spots that are reserved for order pick up, which is great, because the parking lot crazy after 1130. The service here is a mixed bag. You might get that good waiter or you might get that lady who makes it seem like you’re bothering her. It gets packed fast, so expect to not have a lot of elbow room or maybe given that booth that’s supposed to seat 4, but they put 5 of you there.

We made a reservation for the patio at 6:30pm on a Friday night. This was our first time at the Dish Dash location in Milpitas, and we had high expectations based on the couple of times that I had Dish Dash in Sunnyvale. We ordered hummus for the table, and I ordered the combo plate with a side of fries. The combo came with Shish Taouk(cubes of charbroiled, free range chicken breast), Kufta Kebab(seasoned minced beef & lamb w/blended herbs), and Shish Kebab(tender cubes of charbroiled natural, local lamb). It was a disaster. The hummus as described on the menu was«organic garbanzo beans, tahini, extra virgin olive oil«but what arrived was corrupted with the flavors of olives and pickled items. Then the main entrees took more than 30 minutes to come out. And then all of my kabobs were overcooked — the chicken Shish Taouk was not tender, the Kufta was flavorless and overcooked to a hard puck, and the Shish Kebab was ordered medium but there was no hint of pink at all. To top it off, there was not enough rice for the amount of kebab on the plate.

Seriously… how can something be so good? How am I ever supposed to get skinny, when Dish Dash is so good and NOWSOCLOSETOHOME! First off this place is much smaller than the Sunnyvale location, therefore it gets packed(give them a ring and reserve a table — no minimum # of party required). The décor is beautiful, simple, and romantic — they keep the lights pretty dim, which at times can be a little too dark, but upon request they’ll brighten it up as much as they can. Dig in —– The Food. (1) The Maza sampler was tasty, you get to try a number of different dips and things, mainly to eat with pita bread. I wouldn’t recommend this for a party less than 4, my beau and I mistakenly got it — therefore stuffed our faces with so much pita bread, we couldn’t even eat our entrée(FAIL). (2) The Middle Eastern Rotisserie(Dajaj Mashwi) is FREAKNDELICIOUS! So juicy and packed with flavor, such perfectly cooked skin that glistens, and then when you lift it — the tenderness! It falls off the bone oh so slowly and perfectly.(I kind of have a chicken fetish, can you tell?) Comes with two sides, and highly recommend the rice, fries, Mediterranean salad, or seasonal grilled veggies. (3) Now for items, off the Grill. The Tika Kebab and Shish Kebab are highly recommended by the beau. I’m not really a fan of lamb, but the beef was delicious. Although my favorite grill item is actually — the fish(Samekeh). I usually get the seasonal fish, which is topped with an herb(pesto like) lemon yogurt sauce — unique and tasty. (4) Now as mentioned, I’m not a fan of lamb — BUT there is one dish here that becomes my only exception — the Mansaf. A special house dish, super popular for a reason. The tender chunks of lamb is slowly cooked in rice and their aged yogurt — different than any Mediterranean dish I’ve ever had! (5) Something truly hearty — the Sambusak Dajaj(chicken and mushroom baked filo dough with a gravy like sauce). Different and tasty, but the flavor does get a little tiring, not something you want to eat all of overall. (6) For a refreshing delight — the Chicken Shawarma Salad is perfect! It’s refreshing and USUALLY packed with an array of ingredients. Now why do I say USUALLY? Because sometimes, you can get a little sad serving of the salad and wonder if the waiter ate half on the way(which obviously is not the case). If you just tell your waiter, they’re good about it and will top it off. On the other hand —– The Drinks. (1) The Misdemeanor, is a spicy delicious concoction of infused jalapeño vodka mixed with fresh cucumber and lime juice. And don’t be mistaken — it’s not a tad bit of jalapeño — it’s infused, which mean the spiciness is in every drop/sip. If you love the kick and taste of spicy drinks like me, this is highly recommended. (2) The Tamarindo was unique in taste — sweet, and strong. Not my favorite, but definitely something I would order again if I was craving a sweet drink. Sweet endings —– The Desserts. (1) Chocolata is a chocolate molten cake with a scoop of vanilla bean gelato. This was the most delicious chocolate molten I’ve ever had! And I don’t even like chocolate! it was perfect, the inside was as oozy as it should be with a moist yet crunchy exterior. Not too thick, rich, or sweet, paired with a vanilla bean gelato — just perrrrfect. (2) Baklava Crumble a deconstructed baklava over vanilla bean gelato. This was a unique version of Baklava that definitely works! The fact that they are actual crumbs, means it is not as sweet as usual baklavas are(which is commonly an issue for me). PLUS you can adjust your bite of baklava to ice cream ratio perfectly!

Dishdash is ALWAYS busy, but there’s a reason why! I have never tasted such good kabobs in my life. Since I don’t like lamb, I always get the beef kabob. It comes with seasonal veggies and delicious, fluffy rice. The meat is always extremely tender and juicy and seriously cooked to perfection. They also have the best chimichurri! If you’re looking to impress your tastebuds(or a special someone c;) COMEHERE!!!
