The restaurant didn’t open on time as advertised. They opened the doors 10 minutes late. The food items were all overpriced and small in quantity. The fried rice was very plain with no salt — they compensated the lack of flavor with extra ground pepper. The XLBs were just okay. The Taiwanese pork rice dish was very fatty and doesn’t come close to authentic Taiwanese style. We won’t go again. Be aware that it’s cash only, so bring at least $ 15 per person.

This place is a small mom and pop style restaurant, they don’t bother trying to make it look like anything more than it is. Virtually no décor. That said they do have a small window looking into the kitchen, otherwise you might wonder… … The dumplings are average. The business is cash only. I might come here since it’s pretty fast and convenient for takeout. Don’t go out of your way but if you’re in the area might be worth a try if you’re craving dumplings and there’s few options.

Service deteriorated after my first visit. There is limited space so they try to squeeze tables closer together to make room for a waiting area at the door. I came with two others today and there was already a part of two ahead of us in line. The waiters greeted both parties and assured us they would seat as ASAP once tables are clean. They had over 3 dirty tables tried to clear them all at once. I don’t understand why they couldn’t clean two, seat us, and return for the other tables later. We were assigned a table near the wall and I was basically forced to squeeze through a tiny aisle and lightly bump into customers from another table. What if I wasn’t so petite? How would this have worked? Their menus are laminated and your mark your entrée with a dry erase marker. Like dim sum! We ordered thin green onion cake, pan fried pork buns, 2 pork, and a crab meat dumpling. Thin green onion cakes were average. The dumplings had way too much soup! I took a bite and tried to empty the contents onto my spoon but the soup was all over my plate. Pan fried pork dumplings were average as well but my complaint is presentation. The chef was probably rushing this so the side of one bread peeled off as they removed it from the pan. When the waiter set this on our table, it seemed like someone took a bite out of the bread. I get it, mistakes happen. But they should’ve explained the huge hole. How would you feel if I served you a dish with half the contents gone? The waiters are not very sanitary. They use the same cloth to wipe the chairs and tables. So I spill soup on the table, and now the next customer sits on it? At least flip the cloth! When the brought food out, the center of our table needed to be cleared. Instead of asking us to make space, they touched the tip of our teacup… the portion that your lips touch. Gross. Cash only.

Really disappointed about this place. I’ve been wanting to dine here and finally, today I was able to. My friends were raving about dumplings from DTF, and I’ve never had dumplings before. With DTF reservations only at the moment, I tried to find another option. I was in Milpitas during the time of my search and came across My Dumplings. Read through reviews and was convinced to try it out. Not«horrible.» But even though we were hungry, we couldn’t finish the food we ordered. 1 order of juicy pork dumplings(8pcs), 1 order of juicy crab dumplings(8pcs), 1 order shrimp/pork shiumai(8pcs), 1 order of hot chili wontons(6pcs). At first, the juicy pork dumplings tasted decent. After about 2, I quickly got tired of the taste. I stopped at 1 juicy crab dumpling. Stopped at 1 hot chili wonton(it had the weirdest addition of peanut paste?) And also stopped after 2 shiumais. NOT because I was full. But because it just wasn’t good! I don’t know what the rave is about… I’m thinking maybe I’m just not used to eating these dishes? I’m usually an easy eater though… so I don’t know. For me, barely 2 stars.

I went here Saturday breakfast. Nobody was there. The dumpling is pretty big. Taste good. We wanted to order white radish one but it took more than 30 mins. As usual dumpling place is a little ride waiters and only speak Chinese.

I’ve been spoiled with tastier XLB in SoCal. This place doesn’t do justice. Overall, customer service was not bad and my take out order was ready in 10 min. On the bright side, the green onion pancake was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was hot and tasty! I may come back again to to dine in and try other dishes on the menu.

My first time here. Let me start off the review with a major disclaimer, «This is a cash only place.». Place is kind of small but I dint have to wait at all. So no complaints. 4 stars is all for the food, I donot appreciate their service at all. We had to wait for the staff to even look at us, so we can ask for some chilli sauce. That said, food was good and very inexpensive. We got green onion pancake, pork soup dumplings and chicken steak rice. Chicken steak rice was a little greasy. Dumplings were well done, not too thick and tasty. My only complaint with dumplings is they were a little too small from what I had at other places. They give a pot of tea for free, liked that. I would definitely go back here again.

This place is CASHONLY. Just want to make that super clear! I don’t recall seeing a sign that clarified that. This place does have some pretty decent soup dumplings. Not bad. Make sure to try the crab and pork one! That one was my favorite. However, their other dishes sautéed dishes weren’t very good. I was pretty disappointed. Their service is ok, all the servers are running around, and they don’t really greet you with a smile or anything. But thats most Chinese restaurants so it wasn’t a big deal.

I was really excited to check this place out for their vegetarian dumpling, but they were extremely disappointing. It was dry and flavorless. Our group had their soup dumplings and they thought it was whatever. Their hot and sour soup was okay, a little too sour for the group. Their vegetable fried rice was mushy. Overall, the food was unimpressive. The service didn’t make up for anything either. I would go for a hard pass on this restaurant.

It’s a small ma&pop shop with yummy xiao long baos. The longest wait I’ve ever had was 5minutes because it’s such a hidden place people don’t come. Also, the name kind of throws you off a bit. Ive been here for lunch and dinner and this place could be loud and rowdy or cluttered with people sitting inconsiderately. Sometimes, it’s kind of hard to get in and out of your seat because you might actually be cornered in the wall with your neighbors so close to you their butts and belongings will nudge, shove and just rub up all over your food. The service here is typically pretty good. I don’t think I’ve ever had«bad service» here; but, the occasional lack of presence does happen. Even with 2 – 3 servers, a serving manager, and kitchen staff. Occasionally they fall behind on check-ins but never food. It’s a small kitchen with a lot of business so I give them time to get our food and whatnot. The XLB here were my firsts ever. And I am eternally grateful to my boyfriend for ever dragging me in here. We normally order: 1xcrab XLB, 1xpork Xlb and green onion pancake. Anything else on top of that means we’re extremely hungry and normally fall under the options of potstickers, chili wonton, wonton soup, or my new favorite — chicken wings. PS, potstickers have soup like the XLB and are extremely hot.

Service here was kind of odd. We had two servers one girl and one guy. The girl couldn’t explain to me what Chinese Tamale was. And the guy took our menu and wiped off one of our orders rudely with his finger saying, «we’re out of that.» He also mumbles a lot. The food here is not that bad. With that I guess you could say it’s not that good. The restaurant itself appears very old and needing some TLC and cleaning. All of our dishes and cups were chipped(ew, bacteria!!) If you like XLB I recommend Shanghai Dumpling on S Blaney in Saratoga!

Able to find parking right away, just luck. I swear all these Asian restaurants only take cash. We got there at a good time cause we were seated right away. Orders pork and crab juicy dumplings, which are those soup dumplings. Wontons in chili oil. Wonton noodle soup. Tendon plate. Jelly fish. The only thing I really enjoyed was the crab XLB and wontons in chili oil. We also ordered their Thai tea. They served it in a small water cup. Their customer service needs to be improved a lot. They don’t ask you if you’re okay, if you’re enjoying the food, if you like another drink. Nothing. I had to call one of the employees to let them know we were ready w our order and called them again for another order we wanted to put in. Sucks for those people who just stand there waiting for a table to be free. They don’t get any chairs or any greetings whatsoever. I would’ve left if that was me. I don’t think it was that worth it to make a 30 minute drive here. And my spoon was hella dirty.

This was my first dumplings experience ever so I wanted to make that clear! We go there and got seated right away I guess we got there at the right time. This place is located in Milpitas Square. I’ve never been but after we ate at My Dumplings we walked around and notice it was filled with other restaurants! So keep that in mind! Ok ok back to the review. The restaurant was quiet small so it got packed fast! People were standing waiting for the next family to finish. We get handed the menus with a dry erase maker so we can check what we want. We got Hot n Sour soup which was like any hot n sour soup to be honest but this one had lots of mushroom. We also got the Juicy pork dumplings which are like the Soup dumplings. They were really good the soup inside was very flavorful and the wonton wrapper was thin and perfect! We also got the Juicy crap dumplings which was good my fiancé says it was his favorite I’m not a crab kind of lover but I still tried it and was impressed buy it! Our favorite out of our order would have to be the won tons in chili! So good it had a kick of spice but not to spicy where you need water but just enough and at the end a little sweet note! The filling was so good as well! I would have gave them 5 stars but I’m sad it’s cash only. But all in all it was very good and price was fair. Will be coming back!

It’s an ok place, I’ve had better dumplings, thinner ones that is and more meat. I had the veggie and crab dumplings and a bunch of other sides. The rice was ok, a bit heavy, the pancakes were greasy. I prefer the one with the beef if anything. Any dumpling with ginger sauce and hot sauce taste great. Service was busy, but slow, overall, it’s an OK place. Small place, gets packed during lunch.

Pretty good dumplings for pretty good prices! However, they run out of my favorites so quickly. It’s a small restaurant, so if you get there around dinner-time, be prepared to wait! My favorite dishes are: –Wontons in chili oil(I always ask for extra chili sauce to go with it; also I believe they put sesame or peanut paste in this so be careful of allergies!)(紅油抄手) –Pan fried pork buns(A popular one that runs out often)(生煎包) –The dumplings with 絲瓜(some kind of melon/squash) and shrimp PS The thai tea is very yummy and sweet; perfect to pair with a meal during the summer!

This is the one place that I’ll drive over 30 minutes and suffer through lunch parking just to get the Xiao Long Bao(Shanghai dumplings). During lunches, the wait usually is pretty long if you miss coming in right when they open. They do play favorites and have people the servers know cut lines and get a table immediately as they walk in(even though there’s a crowd waiting for a table). I’m not too surprised of the service being bad for other customers aside from the people they know, but it wouldn’t hurt to crack a smile since all I get are nonchalant«here the menu» and glares from the girl at the cash register. It would be a 4 star for the place(for me) but service knocks it down to 3. Onward to the food. Literally the best Xiao Long Bao that I’ve had, I literally cannot get enough of it each time. Once it comes to the table, I always try to pick up each one without breaking the skin until it reaches my spoon(the juices inside is my favorite). I also love their onion pancake, especially dipping it into the vinegar ginger sauce that each customer gets when sitting down. My orders always have the Shanghai noodles too. I really like the taste of it but it can be pretty oily so I usually only each a little bit of it. Final Thoughts: I typically only order those few dishes since it’s my favorites. Everything here looks really tasty but not always served in the best way. Prices here are very reasonable, CASHONLY though. Despite not liking the service here, I cannot stay away from the food(then again, typically Asian restaurants that serve good food can afford lower quality of service).

The original pork XLB is the best. The ones with crab or shrimp are just not as fresh. The crab or shrimp they use are not good. There are not many XLB places like this in south bay, and it’s a quick place to have lunch with friends and co workers.

Maybe compared to other Chinese restaurants anywhere else, My Dumplings would probably be considered good, but since it’s located in Silicon Valley where there are so many other Chinese places, this place is only mediocre. I came here with my parents for lunch on a weekend and we had to wait for a little bit to be seated. We got seated by a waiter who didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. In fact, all the waiters there just nodded and didn’t really respond much whenever we asked for something. They just gave us the nod and the ‘aite’ look. I mean, I wasn’t expecting a whole lot of service, but maybe a smile or two would be good? Anyways, besides the average/slightly below average service, the food here wasn’t all that great. Sure, the XLB(xiao long bao) had a lot of juice/soup in them and it was hot and steamy, but the meat inside was missing flavor. We also ordered the rice cake with bamboo, pork, and mushroom. There was little to 0 bamboo and very minimal cabbage. It just looked really sad. The pan fried milk buns were alright. Just mediocre. The outside was quite crunchy enough nor was the inside soft enough. The only thing that was good/passable was the the vegetable bean and tofu & the deep fried oyster. The oysters were big and juicy. But I mean, how do you go wrong with deep fried oysters? Overall, nothing extraordinary. Maybe I came on an off day with the XLB. I probably won’t come back again though, unless someone in my party wants to.

We used to go to My Dumplings a lot for dumplings but after getting it again recently, I’ve had better. This time around we had the Shanghai dumplings(xiao long bao aka XLB), shrimp and pork dumplings, and chili oil wontons. The Shanghai dumpling soup was delicious, but the thing is the meat is too ground up so when you eat the meat it’s a little to mealy and not meaty. The shrimp and pork dumplings were ok. The shrimp adds another dimension of flavor, but again the pork is similar to the Shanghai dumplings where the meat is too ground up and leaves an undesired texture in your mouth. The chili oil wontons were good, but the peanut sauce addition felt… lacking in the mixture of the oil. It was necessary but again could’ve been executed better. Overall, I’ve had better and unlikely to go back here unless we’ve exhausted all dumpling places and we’re nearby and need a dumpling fix.
