I would prefer to skip this place in future. the kothu paratha was ok

The only reason I keep going to this place is bcz it is the nearest when I crave tiffins. I am writing this review after visiting this place multiple times. Pros: 1. Decent Indian tiffins 2. Pure vegetarian place Cons: 1. Management is THE stingiest I have seen in Indian places. I noticed this on 3 occasions. When we ordered sambar vada as the second order and we wanted to share it, we asked for an extra bowl. But the waiter says the management doesn’t allow that. He went to the back checked again, but they won’t give one to him(I could see what’s happening there). I had to ask multiple times to get that extra bowl. I went there with my colleagues, we can’t eat in a single bowl :) This happened twice. 2. Continuation of(1): My colleague ordered some dosa(don’t remember the name), and she specifically requested not to heat it too much causing the burn on the surface. That’s exactly what they did. Without touching the dosa, she requested the waiter to take it back and get another one, but, guess what happened?, the same answer from the mgmt. She had to eat that burnt dosa.

Not up to the mark… The quality and quantity is both getting bad these days. I want to exclude masala dosa which is good here. When I went last week and ordered mini tiffin, I was served stale sambar… it stinks. may be previous days. The quantity also should improve for the price they charge. It seems they employ part time employees who are students who are in a hurry… I hope this restaurant at least serves fresh items like chutney, sambar… Come on… Don’t try to save on these… Please do justice for the price we pay.

So i say this with the caveat. i eat only one thing here. the spicy andhra thali and for that you cannot beat this place. Its hot, its spicy and its plentiful :) I cant get enough of this. The husband says the other stuff is meh — but really I dont care. I just want to eat this and then naaaaaaap :)

Continue reading if you are a vegetarian. You are good to try idli, dosa, uttapam and other South Indian items but don’t try the items below or you will be *disappointed*: 1. Baby Corn Fritters 2. Vegetable Manchurian 3. Onion Spinach Pakora(The worst pakora’s I tasted in last 5 years in Bay Area) The staff is very nice and plenty of parking available. Don’t try to order online on their website or you will lose you 20 minutes.

Food was not that great. I can eat spicy food in my meal but when I ordered Mysore dosa, it was having less mysore and only red chilli pepper. Even the other dish uttapam was also not cooked properly.

Friend of mine catered lunch from this restaurant for his housewarming. All the items were delicious. There was lots of food and the catering packaging was adequate.

Given the thriving South Asian community in the Bay Area, we were mesmerized with all the Indian food choices. After dining at Sangeeta’s wanted to give TB a try(both offer South Indian cuisine). The place is huge, smells like an authentic udipi place, and is busy with patrons. Three of us had dinner and the preparations were terrific. Dosas were crisp, idilis wee fluffy and steaming, chutneys were on the mark, and sambar was slurpingly great. We found their parathaa and subji combo as da best tho. Preparations took longer than Sangeeta here — but were a bit yummier as well. The wait staff was enthusiastic and obliged on almost every request for topping up sambar and chutneys! Really felt like I was in Chennai.

Pretty good thali plate. Not bad at all. I’d come back again. Great location i.e.: close to where I need to work. Every time a South Indian restaurant opens Ganesh smiles up there in Ganesh heaven.

Had their madras masala dosa and gobi chettinad masala dosa. Both were good. The service was also good. We went in almost at the closing hour and they seemed to be at an rush hour. The person who helped us get seated, mentioned the dishes that are readily available and the dishes that will take time. I appreciate it as it helped us place us order depending on our time availability. Instead of some indian places were we order and wait for a lifetime hoping and staring everytime someone walks out with a food tray from the kitchen. And though we decided to wait and have the dosas, they weren’t that late. We got served in about 15 minutes. Would definitely go back again soon

South Indian Food All Vegetarian Best Place for Idly, Dosa in Milpitas I came down here for 4 – 5 times — most of the time I order Vada, Idly with Butter Milk. Friend of mine tried Dosa and thali — they are equally good.

Food is okay at best. we ordered to-go, 2 entrees and a fried rice and a portion of noodles from this place. I confirmed if I had ordered enough food for 4 people. The entrees for chilly paneer looked liked leftover food from another order. All other portions were also way below normal size. The prices are cheap but not that cheap. More importantly, the idea was not to budget shop for a family lunch but make sure we have enough food for 4 people. When I called back to tell the guy that he had confirmed this should be enough food for 4 he was acting clueless and did not want to deal with the situation. Poor management style! Would not recommend this place.

Awesome South Indian place. Me and wife often go here for dinner. Pros: 1. Good food, apart from certain items that we are not very fond of, like the Masala Fried Idly which smells and tastes like egg curry. 2. All items are reasonably priced. 3. They serve with a smile, always. Cons: 1. For some reason, this place is always cold. 2. Could do a better job with cleanliness. 3. It’s crowded all the time. Well, that’s probably because people like this place a lot. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes authentic South Indian food.

Lot of people will write about their food and it’s great! I want to write about the honesty of the staff here. My wife left her bag here and we found it back 3 days later intact. It had a bunch of valuable stuff including a lot of cash. Really appreciate the service and staff here.

I visited Tirupathi Bhimas for dinner along with my husband sometime recently and did not have a great experience for the expectation we had. Their food was definitely below average. According to their website, they say that«Tirupathi Bhimas stands out for Pure vegetarian cooked FRESH every day from the finest ingredients Tasty and yet Nutritious.» Both my husband and self felt that the food was NOTFRESHATALL. We were disappointed and so were wondering how still this place manages to grab the attention of crowd, even their ambience was way too normal. The 2 stars are actually given for the staff who served us & the cleaner who promptly cleaned the table. They were attentive. There are many Other Good Indian — Andhra type Cuisine Restaurants in the Bay area where we’ve got the benefit of experiencing Best Quality Food, Affordable Pricing & Good Ambience. One should always get complete satisfaction for the money he/she pays. Not interested to visit again unless I strongly hear from the people about restaurant’s food quality improvement.

The only reason I gave this place a three star was because of the food. I honestly really enjoyed it but their service was terrible! They forgot orders, we felt rushed as they gave us our bill even before one of our orders came in. Staff seemed nice but but their work ethic wasn’t all that… Very forgetful. He even told us he forgot to write a part of our order down… Umm… Ok??? They also brought my dosa out first and then the appetizer and the last dosa took forever! I didn’t want to eat my dosa first, but I had to start because it would get cold then. Place has lots of seating but it’s not really decorated or very well organized. Food was probably the best part of my experience here. It wasn’t the best food I have had but it was not the worst either. We ordered: Baby corn fritters: I am not a fan of baby corn but I was told the dish is good so I have it shot and I am so glad I wasn’t disappointed. Dish was sweet but spicy and the fritters was crispy 5⁄5 Butter milk: really good! Right amount of flavor 5⁄5 Plain dosa with sambar and chutneys: my dosa was very Luke warm and soft so was the other dosa we ordered. Dosas were not too crispy but taste wise they were okay. Dosas were a good size as well. 3.5÷5 I may not be returning. There are better spots in fremont

I have been here a couple of times now, either for lunches when I was working in South Bay or for dinner. Some of the dishes are excellent but others are less than ok. I really like the idiyappam(string hoppers). It goes well with coconut milk and vegetable gravy. Bisibele bath and Veg biriyani is also good. Masala in the masala dosa really lacks flavor. We ordered Gobi Manchurian last time and I really regretted ordering it. It has this weird taste and I was just hoping not to fall sick. The place is really noisy. And the waiters can be a bit more organized. This place looks more like a mess/canteen you see in Tamil Nadu rather than a restaurant.

I have not had much exposure to Indian food, like almost zilch. But I came here with some coworkers after work and they showed me some legit South Indian food(it had to have been authentic because I couldn’t read anything on the menu). I had the marsala dosa and it was much more filling than I thought it would’ve been, especially since it was a vegetarian dish. Turns out that little dosa was carb-filled and then filled with marsala. The dosa and the sides it came with had a little bit of a kick, just enough since I’m not the biggest fan of spicy(mostly because my taste buds are wimps). Nicely balanced out with the coconut-based sauce/soup it came with. But it was definitely a new experience and I enjoyed trying something new. I’ve been to a couple of Indian restaurants before with my coworkers, but I think that this is the first time I felt like I was really at an authentic place. It was the sort of hole-in-the-wall that didn’t have pretenses and didn’t have to prove anything to someone accustomed to a Western diet. And I really liked that. This place had fluorescent lights, kind of junky tables and chairs, and not so much décor, like the owners didn’t care enough to try because all they’re interested in is serving good, authentic Indian cuisine. And that is more than fine with me. BOTTOMLINE: Cheap, great place. I think I would’ve liked some meat with my dish to tie it all together(apologies if that’s not how you eat dosa, I’m new), but regardless I’d come back.
