Zaxby’s

I have been a Zaxby’s fan for as long as I can remember. I am not writing this review just about this location, but I am writing this review towards Zaxby’s as a company. When I first are Zaxby’s a few years ago I was very pleased with the portion sizes, the chicken strips and wings were normal proportion. Each strip was about 3 inches long and each wing had the right amount of meat that I was paying for. But recently, I’ve noticed these pitiful portions you all call meals, my «chicken strip» was the size of a chicken nugget, and my wing looked like you guys picked it off a fucking pigeon. I am extremely displeased that I ended up paying $ 20 for some pathetic tenders and wings. Anyone would be much pleased going to Chick-​Fil-​A for chicken rather than Zaxby’s and getting their money worth of food

This is a really nice fast-​food restaurant. Don’t be misled by the word, ‘fast-​food.’
This is a nice, clean location that has awesome food, at a good price.
The way this Zaxby’s location is furnished, is great; as well as the lighting.
This is a nice place.

For me, this is the best fast food fried chicken available, the seasoning is great the product is always fresh and hot, and that Zaxby’s sauce you just can’t beat!
I like the chicken because it is crispy on the outside delicate and tender on the inside, it’s always done to perfection, and the breading is light not heavy and the strips are always equal size.
I have had Chick-​fil-​A, KFC, and even the smash burger crispy chicken, but for me, Zaxby’s gives you the most bang for your buck.
Let me give a quick endorsement for this location, they keep the drive-​through moving fast, you’re in and out quickly, and always greeted with a friendly smile and a proper greeting to send you on your way!

Tried this location a couple times, they have not gotten an order right yet.
The Texas toast is soaking in some fake butter, sandwich so wet it was in edible.

Its only been in recent months that i have discovered things i like on the menu… the zalads, the kickers, etc. However, i swear with this location it doesnt matter what i order something is always incorrect. I have gotten in the habit of being one of those people that hold up the line to check the order… and they still got one past me…
I really thought yesterday when i got the grilled cobb zalad, with a side of buffalo, and a med UNsweet tea it was fool proof, I got back to the office, took a large swig of the tea… the what i thought was unsweet… and got a mouthful of tooth rottingly sweet tea. which dont get me wrong, I am a southern girl and I Love me some sweet tea, but not when im trying to be good, and cut out stuff… anywho, the salad was good, the eggs on it were a little rubbery tasting.

I ordered the Banana Pudding Milkshake for $ 2.99
The Vanilla Wafers were very good, the Whipped Cream was great and the Ice Cream was creamy.
One of the best Milkshakes that I have ever had from a Drive Thru.

If I haven’t almost lost my life every time I enter/​exit the parking lot here, I would probably like it better. It has a prime downtown location, but a pain to get to. What are the odds of that?
In terms of pricing, it seems to be the same as the other local Zaxby’s.
On one note– my best friend bowled the game of his life after eating at this Zaxby’s. Maybe that should say something!
On the inside, it seems to be pretty clean and I am almost sure they scored at least 2 97 on their last health inspection.
Cougars seem to frequent this location from 1−3PM and also 4−6PM. In case if anyone is interested.
Parking is also tight, so keep that in mind as well…

This location has done me right so far. Yes, the drive-​thru takes a bit but that is the norm. Food has always been fresh and my order has always been correct.
Chicken fingers are to kill for and the texas toast is the best thing ever. NO PINK SLIME HERE!

I tried Zaxby’s. I’m not going back. The chicken was about the same quality as McDonald’s, but a lot more expensive. The staff was the most inattentive I’ve ever seen at a fast food restaurant. It took forever to get my order out and they botched it. Nope, never again.

I love zaxbys, and have gone there for many years. When I moved into this area I was relieved that there was one so close to me just like my previous location. However that joy soon turned into a paranoid nightmare. I literally order a very simple salad every time and I kid you not that every third time I order, I get the wrong salad. It has happened to me at least a dozen times in the last year. I am not exaggerating whatsoever. Please check your order if you use the drive thru or take out. This is the worst zaxbys ive ever visited, but I keep going because of the close proximity.

This has always been my favorite fast-​food chicken joint in Atlanta. Zaxby’s has the best flavor, clean place, and great value meals. I used to visit this joint for lunch on a weekly basis and get the chicken strips. Anyone new chicken fans in GA, check this place out.

Honestly, I thought this place was a major sit down restaurant from the looks of it from the outside view… who knew it was like your local McDonalds!
We don’t have these southern style quick foods back home in DC really… However, I like Zaxby’s…the only reason why I’m not giving them a «as good as it gets» is because I don’t want to run here before I run to McDonalds’.well not yet anyways.
The food is really good though… I love that I can get my wings to go here and not have to wait like I would at a carry-​out type place. I love the French fries and toasted bread that comes with almost each meal!
Now, that’s what I call: country!

I have cravings for this place. I dream about it in my sleep. That’s how good this place is. The Zaxby’s Kickin’ Chicken Meal is to die for; oh add a sweet ice tea. (they have good ice there…)

The wings are good too. It was a place my college friends and I used to go to all the time but now I just dream of it and love going back to visit so I can have Zaxby’s.

I hate reviewing chain joints like this. So I’ll focus on how this location is different from every other Zaxby’s in the world.
Their location (as Angela talks about) is a pain in the backside to get in and out of. If traffic is even slightly busy, you can forget about turning left (to the north). Your alternative is to go through the Publix shopping center to the light. But come on! This is north Fulton, not midtown. Fighting traffic during a lunch hour is not acceptable.
They do get crazy busy at lunch but they move people in and out pretty quick. The employees there are friendly and competent (hard to say of a lot of fast food joints).
They are fairly empty at nights and on weekends (as a lot of places around here are), so we take the family then. Try a salad with chicken and ask them to toss the chicken in a spicy wing sauce. Very nice. Goes great with ranch dressing.

I agree with Bill S — Zaxby’s is my comfort food lunch. Whenever I’m having a bad day at work, in need of some caloric therapy, I head to this Zaxby’s. The staff is friendly and the service is pretty fast, considering most Zaxby’s are somewhat slower than other fast food chains.
In case you haven’t been to a Zaxby’s, I highly recommend anything with Buffalo sauce, particularly the Big Blue Zalad Buffaloed. I also love the fries — they’re crinkle cut, but not too soggy, as is often the case with crinkle fries. The Zax sauce is dangerous — so dangerous that they charge you for extra of it. And of course the sweet tea is delicious!
The only bad thing about this Zaxby’s is that it’s darn near impossible to get to, since there’s only one entrance, and it’s on Old Milton. I usually end up pulling through the CVS parking lot. Also, it gets quite crowded at lunch, so even if I’m getting it to go, I park my car and go in, since it’s usually faster (judged by seeing if the last car in line when I park is through the drive through when I pull out).
I also like that the Zalads are served in china bowls when you dine in the restaurant — a nice touch.

This is my comfort food. If I just feel like getting away I always seem to find my way to Zaxby’s for some spicy chicken fingers with texas toast, fries and cole slaw.
The one thing about Zaxby’s that drives me nuts though is using crushed instead of cubed ice, but the food is good so they still get 4 stars.
