We have been going to this spot for over 5 years now. Great food no matter what time of the day it is. Friendly staff that always recognizes us. Nice environment that’s really clean and tidy. Great prices on everything and their bAklava is delicious. We have always gone here and will always be loyal customers. Out of all the gyro places we have eaten at around the Milwaukee area, B-52, Oakland, and Spartan gyros. This place is by far the best. Never had a wrong order or have been displeased with our food. We drive over 35 minutes just to get the best gyros around. That should tell you something when their is B-52 around the corner 4 minutes away in Menominee Falls. Worth the drive every time when we feel like gyros. There gyros are so good I could probably eat two at a time and still crave them the next day! Also I tried the cheeseburger the other day and dang that thing was really good. Try them out and I guarantee this place will be your next gyro spot.

The amount of food! It’s a lot. The gyro is two meals, easy. The moussaka — yum. It’s one of my go-to places when craving naughty food I can rely on Gyro Palace to deliver what this girl needs! If you skip the fries and opt for a Greek salad as a side, they are very generous and the salad is quite good. Late night and/or hangover food = yes and yes.

Descriptive phrase: delicious drunk meat. Drunk from Milwaukee Brewing Company(across the street)? Gyro Palace accepts you. The Mini Gyro($ 5.19) and Mini Chicken Gyro($ 5.50) were both large-enough for a drunk-meal and absolutely packed with their respective meats. And the lamb and chicken were both well-seasoned. I don’t know, Gyro Palace might be good sober. But man was it good drunk.

A guy at work has been on me for a while now to stop at gyros palace but I have a long list of places to try so when I found my self driving past one I did the U turn and stopped. I just came off lunch so I would grab one for dinner and OMG they have a drive through. The drive through was empty at about 1pm today and it was the fastest I ever got through one so I looked in the bag and it was all there, see the pictures. The gyro was big and I could feel it was hot and ready but would have to wait for dinner time. Let’s take a look at this monster and go on a test drive, I placed a quarter next to it so as to get an idea of what it is. Since I stopped unexpectedly for it I had to take it with me on my travels until I got home, the car smelled amazing and drove me nuts for hours. It was big and had some weight to it so it is not going down in one sitting and it would take a second attempt to get it down. The pita in no way held this monster so you have to eat some meat to make it manageable. The cucumber sauce was tasty but too loose for my taste, I like the crème cheese texture. The gyro meat was thick and moist even after hours in the bag, not that thin shit some places give you. I did like the fact that it was not one of those desert dry gyro meat sandwiches. The texture and taste of the meat was good with the pita, tomatoes, onions and sauce. By the way the tomatoes and onions are on the bottom so they don’t fall off and you get to taste them. Overall it was one of the better gyros in Milwaukee and would not disappoint a gyro lover and hit the spot, did it dethrone my favorite no but it was big, meaty and tasty. I will give it props because it was well done and I have had some bad gyros in Milwaukee. I think I can safely put it at the number two spot as of now but there are places I still want to get to.

I was hungry for Greek Salad and I decided late to get one. The gentleman at the register was nice and carried my tray to the table. While I was there there was no Greek Music but the tv was on to a Latin channel.

I kinda love this place. Like how you love the occasional Twinkie or Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. That is to say, you love it when you need something that will be the crowning achievement on a night of bad decisions. Too much to drink? Gyro Palace is here to help. Forgot to eat dinner before you went out and about? They gotcha covered. Honestly, for what you get it is a downright bargain. Here is my advice: Get the gyro or the chicken shish kabob if you prefer. At the outset, order an extra pita because you’ll be needing it. If you prefer curly fries, let them know. Then sit back, enjoy, and plan on having more than enough leftovers to take home and stave off tomorrow’s assured hangover. The only thing I don’t like about this place is that they offer up some flimsy-ass plastic forks. Other than that, it’s just right. Even with its gas station ambiance.

I know there are some amazing restaurants nearby on 2nd st, and for that matter a better greek gyro place on oakland ave, but since moving into walker’s point area I am certain I’ve eaten at Gyro Palace sometimes as much as 3 times a week… wow. Why?! After working really late I need takeout, and there’s something special very satisfying about rich lamb gravy sauce over a roasted chicken with rice(Athenian roast chicken). There’s not many good takeout options once it’s 10pm-11pm. Finally it’s drive thru is very fast compared to other gyro places. Conclusion: a combination of good hours, convenience, and deliciousness. 3 stars, but seriously for takeout after 11pm might as well be 5 stars.

Gyro palace is quite simply the best drive through in Milwaukee! Drunk or sober, you can get a delicious, hot, affordable meal that won’t disappoint! The portions and huge too which is great for sharing with over intoxicated friends. Thank you Gyro Palace, you get me! Ps I took off 1 star because of all the homeless people who are usually found pasted out in the snow in front of this fine establishment.

Gyro Palace is much more than a gyro place or a palace. They serve deliciouso burgers… deliciouso BLTs, and a bunch of other random stuff. Basically, place is the best when it is past midnight. Or whenever you want a greasy meal. Unfortunately for me, I wrote this review after I ordered Jimmy John’s when I really want Gyro Palace. Too bad so sad.

After 9pm, this is the best food available in the area. After a few drinks, after 10pm, the food here is absolutely delicious. Greek-American owned, but entirely staffed by Mexican-Americans, all the fast food is better than chain, but the better choices are Greek. They often make mistakes when you drive through, the inside is clean and a comfortable place to wait for your order. The staff is tri-lingual, they understand English, Spanish, Drunk people, but they cannot understand the drive-through speaker. The servings are generous, and since none of it is healthy, you should try to split. The gyros platter is so generous, split it by ordering an overpriced extra pita, there’s still more than the two people can, well, should eat.

This place is awesome. I know that Greek places are known for giving you an abundance of food, but the amount of food you get with a gyro plate is ridiculous. Easily enough for two meals for a hungry dude. The quality is on par with any other fast food gyro. I’ve also had the Philly cheesesteak, and while it’s not a true Philly(no cheez whiz) the quality of the beef was outstanding. And positive points for having a drive thru.

Best gyros I’ve had here in Milwaukee. Almost too much to eat. And yes I’ve had Oakland gyros.

Heard many good things about this place! I tried the gyro and fries meal and I have to admit, it was pretty good. I could almost say it was as good as Pathernon on state street in Madison, Wi. Thumbs up for gyro Palace

Magic gas station strikes again. I swear to god. Magic gas station. What can’t you get here? What service can’t they provide(within reason)? Need new tires? You’re covered. Need shitty beer or a nice bottle of wine? You’re covered a la Fine Vineyard. Artisan chocolates or a stellar pizza a la Times Square? Done. Hot, delicious chicken masala and other Indian delights? You got it. Plus there’s the whole entire gas station to consider AND there’s that deli inside, too. Catch a cab since American’s right there. See what I mean? Magic. ALSO: Order a gyro and fries at an absurdly late hour after you’ve had three too many shots of Tullamore Dew at Sabbatic. Enter Gyro Palace. Let me be crystal clear as a sparkling Canadian lake on a summer’s day here, folks: Gyro Palace isn’t great. In fact, it’s sort of not even that good. I mean, it’s fine, but a few things of note here. 1. SO. MUCH. MEAT. Want a gyro? Too bad! You’re getting a pile of gyro meat on a soggy pita and when I say pile I MEANPILE. Meat party. Here. Have a «gyro.» 2. Don’t come expecting Apollo-level fare here. The meat is greasy and not quite as flavorful. They’re open absurdly late(as I noted), which is a total bonus because I’m not sure anything else that is save for that 24-hour McDonald’s on 1st.(I’m not sure if it’s one of those 24-hour ones or not, but I think maybe.) Here’s the thing, though: I have loved Gyro Palace on at least two separate occasions now. Like Kyle said, it’s drunk food. And it’s glorious glorious drunk food if you’ve been out for too long and are in desperate need of a thing to soak up all that whiskey. Three stars for A-OK gyros on Second St! *Don’t try to walk through the drive-thru. They’re not having it. Instead, head inside, grab a gyro to-go, throw it in yr bag, and catch a cab or walk home or whatever.*

I would give this place a great review, but I am sober now. It’s a dump and the food sucks. It’s strategically positioned across the street from a brewery where 90% of the people are drunk. The food is greasy and sucks.

They make a pretty decent late-night burger to-go. I alway ask for the fries extra crispy as they normally come a little soft. They are quick, friendly, have fair prices and are seemingly always open.

Gyro Palace is not going to compete well against the rapidly growing, foodie-centric joints that have suddenly exploded in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point area; however, one can reliably expect good food and a solid value here at any time of the day. I’ve been eating lunches here roughly once per month since they’ve opened a few years ago. Every time, I leave satisfied. As gyros go, their gyro tastes like a gyro. As hamburgers go, their hamburger tastes like a hamburger — albeit a pretty good one(if you’re a Milwaukeean, think of Kopp’s hamburgers – these are similarly constructed). But what makes Gyro Palace better than average is how hot, fast, and fresh the food they serve is. Today I paired french fries with my gyro wrap. The fries were crisp, not greasy, and hot as heck. In other words: they were the perfect fry! The tzatziki sauce served with the gyro was cool and smooth. They serve the sauce in a squeeze bottle, so you can squeeze a little on before taking every bite. A hot gyro with cold tzatziki is about as good as a gyro can get in my opinion. Burgers are the same. If you get some veggies on it(i.e. lettuce and tomato) they’re served fresh and cool. Burgers, too, are served on a soft sesame-seeded hamburger bun. Very nice. But my favorite thing at the Gyro Palace has nothing to do with Grecian food at all. The best thing is dessert … the Tres Leches Cake! Oh man, is this stuff ever good. In the pantheon of great sweet treats – pumpkin pie, hot fudge sundaes, chocolate mousse, and apple pie a la mode – there should be an entire wing dedicated to the Gyro Palace’s tres leches cake. I don’t know where they get this stuff from, but when you lunch at the GP, save some room for the 3-milk cake. It’s only $ 2.49, so you can’t afford not to!

You’re in Walkers Point. You’re drunk, AGAIN. You’ve spent most of your shekels on IPAs and shots of Tully(Am I projecting here?), when suddenly your stomach is all like«Revenge, bitch!». Whatever are you to do? You walk your drunkness down to Gyro Palace and ask for a bib, that’s what you do. Sometimes you just want to eat half of a chicken. I tend to separate restaurants into 2 groups: Places I’ve never been before midnight, and everything else. This qualifies as the former. GP is open very late, all week long. When I lived on 2nd street I ate an ungodly amount of late night falafel and and greek salad and I stand by that decision, despite what my waistline has to say about it. This place also offers some of the best people watching ever. I’ve had some interesting folks pull up a seat at my table, let me tell you. The food comes fast and you end up with a lot of it. The prices are certainly fair for what you receive. Favorites: Gyros, Athenian Chicken, falafel. Wasn’t into: Moussaka or the Philly Cheese steak. Honestly, I’m dumb. Philly Way is right freaking there. Enough out of me. Do it.
