Is this a joke? How does this place have only 4 and 5 star reviews? With all the other amazing food trucks in Milwaukee this was a sorry excuse for food. I ordered the kuala curry because I love curry and I could use more veggies in my diet. What I got did not resemble anything of the like. The overly breaded chicken reminded me of Popeyes popcorn chicken, the curry sauce was barely a drizzle, and the only veggie was green beans not exactly what I would call«mixed veggies.» The rice was nothing special especially without curry sauce to mix with it! And spice or seasoning? Forget about it! I was still hungry and very disappointed afterwards. I will walk the other way when I see them on the street next time.

This is my favorite food truck in Milwaukee. They’ve been coming to my work once a week ever since they started and they just keep getting better and better. Their concept is perfect — fried chicken nuggets on rice with an assortment of difference sauce options. I love love love the marcocito. It’s like a fried chicken taco bowl of perfection. This season they’ve rolled out an assortment of new sides(egg rolls, pot stickers, mozzarella sticks, pork buns). I tried the mozzarella sticks today and they were AMAZING.

I tried the Buddha chicken and this food truck for the first time today. I loved every single bite! The chicken was amazing! The breading was perfect and the chicken was so juicy. The sesame sauce was just the perfect amount of flavor. I will definitely be following them around town for more.

I’ll start with some advice. Hunt this truck down and get in line, because it’s that good. My wife had the Buddha chicken and i had the Khula Chicken. The chicken was all white meat, very moist, fresh with no fatty parts. The jasmine rice was a good addition cooked to perfection. I usually don’t like breaded chicken as it tends to just add useless bulk, but in this case the breading alone can be a meal. I’ll have to say, spending time in NY, San Fran and Chicago I’ve been a bit spoiled with food trucks, that have innovative creations. There have been rare times I’ve seen them in Milwaukee, so to come across one not just selling hot dogs, brats or beer is a pleasant surprise. Portion was a fair amount for $ 7. I’m pretty sure there was a whole chicken breast, at least the good part, in easy helping. I still think the truck should be named Los Pollos Hermanos, would totally live up to it.

Marco Pollo is a food truck that’s been open for just over a year. We’ve only gotten food from them once, but it was a pretty good experience & we’ll go back the next time they’re at the Greenfield farmer’s market. They offer crispy breaded or grilled chicken over jasmine rice with a variety of sauces for $ 7. I had the«Kuala curry” — the sauce is yellow curry with cauliflower & green beans. The menu said«mixed veggies.» I’m not the biggest fan of cauliflower, but it was amazing in this dish. My fiancé had«the Big Easy” — the sauce is traditional Creole with shrimp. We got there a few hours after they opened, & they were already out of shrimp. He said the dish was flavorful & delicious, but didn’t think it tasted particularly like Creole, as it was slightly sweet. They have several other sauce options– Mexican, sesame & buffalo. There is also a «naked» version, which is served with your choice of BBQ, ranch or honey mustard sauce. Egg rolls & brownies are also available sometimes. You can get a can of soda for $ 1. It didn’t take long for the food to be ready, despite the fact that they were fairly busy at the time. They only had crispy chicken available during our visit. I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 due to them not offering shrimp or grilled chicken that day & the Creole sauce being a little off. Overall, the chicken was cripsy, the sauces were flavorful & the rice was cooked perfectly; service was quick & the price was reasonable.

I’m a sucker for breaded fried chicken. These guys make it simple by combining the chicken with jasmine rice and topping with a variety of sauces to make more combinations. It’s nice when food trucks do one thing really well. I tried the Marcosito’s Plato(tex mex). The sauces were yummy, especially the tomatillo salsa. The chicken was perfect. Breading was tasty and it had a nice crispness to it. Definitely a solid food cart… may be back for more.

Marco Pollo is new to the food truck scene this year. It’s owned by a school teacher, who also creates the recipes, cooks and runs the truck with help from a couple of his students as a summer gig. Concept seems simple enough. Cut chicken breast into cubes, bread and deep fry or serve grilled if requested, then put over a bed of jasmine rice and top with a sauce made to represent a ethnic flavor, all options are $ 7 each, unless you get The Naked option which is just chicken with ranch or BBQ sauce and no rice for $ 6. I’ve had the Little Tokyo featuring a ponzu and katsu sauce with pickled veggies, Marcosito’s Plato featuring homemade queso, tomatillo, and avocado salsa, and the recent Curry special($ 6). The chicken was crispy every time. The homemade sauces were flavorful every time. The rice had a consistent slightly sticky texture every time. Consistency seems to be the name of the game with these guys and I’m good with that as long as it’s consistently good. Other options include The Buffalo(guess what flavor that is), Siam I Am(Thai of course), and The Big Easy, a creole sauce with shrimp. The Big Easy is next on my list to try. It’s difficult for me to give 5 stars for something that seems easy, but the sauces are homemade and have great flavors and the chicken is perfectly cooked crispy on the outside, with tender white meat inside… every time. I don’t think that is easy to do on a food truck, considering there are several brick and mortar restaurants that can’t do it. Give them a try.
