Excellent food and over the top customer service is what you will find at McGinns. Perfect for visiting before a Brewer game because they have a shuttle bus that takes you right to the front gate.

After a long work day hubby and I headed to McGinns for dinner and a Packer Game. They have nice big tvs for watching the game and good beer specials, but I get ahead of myself. Hubby had the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and I had the burger with the works(cheese, bacon, fried onions, mushrooms, and green peppers) on a toasted butter basted bun. Yum! Kickoff is in 14 minutes so I had better finish dinner. Go Pack!

Cool little neighborhood bar. Great weekly specials and brunch is good for the price

McGinn’s is a great place to stop at before heading to a Brewer’s game. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have a full bar and a great selection of beer to choose from. The food is delicious. They offer everything from burgers and chicken to steak and shrimp. I definitely recommend stopping in here for their Sunday brunch. They usually have a good selection of things to choose from, so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding something that you’ll like. Just a side note: the brunch menu does change from time to time. McGinn’s offer a shuttle service to and from Miller Park, which I think is a great service. My husband and I have utilized it a few times, and the drivers are great. They chat with the patrons while still keeping their eye on the road and driving safely. The only downside that I can think of for this place is the small parking lot. Chances are, you will probably have to park on the street. Despite that, I will still give this place 5 stars.

Food was delicious but spotty service. We had a combo of three servers of varying degrees of attentiveness. Overall they got the job done but at times things were forgotten or slow. However, for the price, the food is top notch. I ordered a salad and the greens were bright green and fresh with watercress(usually ‘mixed greens’ would be sprinkled with cheap stuff) but no iceberg here!). I was impressed.

Service is awesome with a great staff! Especially the sassy and bubbly Amy! Great food, soups and specials. A definite place to stop other than just before or after a ball game

For sure is the Brewers’ fan lair. Reuben is delicious! Doesn’t cost to park in their lot. Food is filling. «Free» shuttle ride is actually free with purchase of food or drink. Recommended for Brewers games.

Cool spot to hit before a brewer game and to take the shuttle, I had the Irish dip which was awesome! The brachos(nachos with brats on top) is an awesome idea but could be better made, not sure which brand of brat but they tasted like breakfast sausage and the nachos themselves were alright would maybe use nacho cheese dip on top and salsa for better toppings. Overall I would come back especially before a brewer game

I stopped in this past St. Paddy’s Day with my Pop in search of Corned Beef after not being able to get into the door of one of the other famed Irish«Mc» pubs in the city. We waltzed in and were seated immediately at lunchtime and served just as fast. The Guinness is poured perfectly here and this is every bit a baseball bar, with memorabilia gracing the walls and every TV was tuned into something baseball related. This is my kind of place. The food was great. They could of used just a little bit less salt on the corned beef, but it was cooked perfect and still very good. The potatoes, carrots and rye bread all perfectly complimented the meal. They gave us large portions for a very good price. I will be back, maybe even for the shuttle before the Brewers game.

Meet a friend here for Brewers pregame dinner with plans to ride the shuttle. The pleasant surprise came early when we both ordered bloody mary’s to start the night. A handmade mix with great tomato flavor and just the right consistency. And just the right amount of horseradish and Worcestershire shined through. The rims were dusted in celery salt, which is always appealing to me. Garnish was your basic green olives but if the mix is good, which this one was, they the garnish is just icing. The grilled sandwiches are great. Certainly above the average bar food fare. My turkey and cheese was piled high and the Reuben had just the right amount of dressing. House made chips are always a treat, and if you’re not ordering sandwiches or have a hearty appetite I highly recommend the Irish nachos. Perhaps the only time liquid cheese sauce is a plus. Price are reasonable, service is great, the shuttle is efficient and when looking for the pregame package you can’t go wrong with McGinn’s!

McGinn’s isn’t fancy or crammed with college kids. It has a nice atmosphere and attentive service. Their soups are amazing – creative and delicious! And their wings!!! Thursday night they have them on special, we usually get at least a dozen buffalo, a few Hawaiian and maybe a few Texan for good measure. Their home made chips are awesome as well! Dip ‘em in their yummy ranch dressing! While you can sit in the bar area, there is a small, quieter dining room there as well.

Slainte! You can’t beat going here before a Brewers game for the shuttle. This is a favorite stop not only for the family, but friends. Garlic mashed taters, Reuben rolls, Reuben salad, nachos, Sunday brunch french toast & sirloin, & omg the wings!!! The ambiance is fun, filled with TVs, bobbleheads & sports posters. A must stop.

Stopped here before a Brewer’s game last weekend. First of all, serious bonus points for the clean, free, available shuttle to Miller Park. Second, the food was delicious. We had some Reuben rolls and brachos(nachos topped with brats) for appetizers– they were both delicious. I had a Reuben for dinner(sense a trend here?!) and I highly recommend the homemade chips as a side– they were perfectly crisp. I can guarantee I will be here before my next Brewer game.

Great neighborhood bar/restaurant with a really good menu, not just bar food. One of the owners is a good cook. He makes fresh soups everyday that are outstanding.(He likes them spicy, BTW, so if that’s not something you like…) Chalk board specials everyday that include sliders, chicken fry, fish fry, Tbone steak, ribs, Mexican food(quesadillas, tacos). In my opinion, McGinns’s has the best chicken wings in town. Lots of taps with a good selection of beer across the spectrum and a full bar. All of the service staff are professional, service oriented and friendly.

McGinn’s = baseball season = happiest time of the year!!! Of all the sports bars on Bluemound, I feel most comfortable at McGinn’s. Having a few drinks before hopping on the Slimo to go to Brewers games has become a tradition for me and the wife. If I’m not tailgating, I’m on the Slimo from McGinn’s. They have the friendliest shuttle drivers(shout out to Pat and Kenny!), but more importantly, they have the best food, the hardest working waitresses, and the most attentive bartenders on Bluemound. Most of the other bars are completely doucher bars. Maybe because its usually an older crowd at McGinn’s, or maybe its because everything is just better here! Things that impress me at McGinn’s: 1. occasional availability of parking. 2. A bobble-head collection more impressive than mine! 3. Liberal«to go» policy for patrons hopping on the Brewer shuttle. 4. Ruben rolls, Ruben rolls, Ruben rolls. 5. The tall bartender always notices me right away and never makes me wait. 6. Properly poured Guinness. mmmm Guinness… 7. It’s not SOB’s 8. Diverse crowd.

I love this place. Fell in love with the reuben rolls and then with the pub. Now that there’s no smoking in the pub I enjoy going to dinner there. Waitstaff is friendly and on top of things, bartenders make a mean drink and the food is delish. Thanks for always doing a great job!

I love McGinns! Though they do not have anything too out of the ordinary for pub fare. HOWEVER, they do have the reuben rolls which is always a hit with my family!(They also sell them at Irish Fest which gives them an A+ in my book!) They have a great selection of beer and their mixed drinks are pretty cheap for how big they are! The wait staff are great! The last time I was in we had a party of 10 and the waitress was superb!

McGinn’s is a nice, friendly bar packed with Brewers fans on game days. For the cost of a beer, you can take the«slimo» to the game, saving you $ 10 on parking — which can be spent on more beer. A win-win in my book! The actual bar is a pretty typical sports bar set up. Lots of TV’s, tap beer and sports stuff on the walls. You can expect that the bar food items, like burgers, wings and rueben rolls, will be good. Anything fancy, probably not so much. Staff is friendly and fast. It’s definitely one of the better spots of the Bluemound strip.

HAMBURGER Review of McGinn’s Cost: $ 7.00 Fries Included: Yes To Go Charge: 30¢ Speed: about 15 minutes Fast Food Comparison: McDonald’s Quarter Pounder patty with a Culver’s bun Cool Condiments: slice of pineapple and orange «Well, if you like burgers give ‘em a try sometime. I can’t usually get ‘em myself because my girlfriend’s a vegetarian which pretty much makes me a vegetarian. But I do love the taste of a good burger. Mm-mm-mm.» — from PULPFICTION

We came a day after St. Patrick’s Day and were offered $ 5 pitchers of some light beer dyed green. Why not? Well, perhaps because it’s flat. But… $ 5. Debatable trade off. We sat in the back room, which wasn’t as hip as other places(particularly the bar area). Two flat screens for watching March Madness, but both playing the same game. The room had a pretty bland set-up, but did the job for a group of 7 with 2 babies. I was pretty disappointed with the fish fry. They over-cooked the fish. The waffle fries were pretty good though. I bet the bar area is fun if you are just interested in having a drink with friends.
