If «stellar service» consists of watching the two bartenders alternate walking out of the kitchen licking pizza grease off one hand and holding said piece of pizza in the other while not acknowledging customers seated at the bar, this place’s service would classify as orgasmic.

This is my favorite Bar to hang out at, since new ownership and some staff changes has happened it’s a great fun place to hang out. The staff is great and they just started doing trivia on Tuesday evenings, I would recommend this bar for cold drinks and a having fun. Darby O’ Gill a fun little 3 piece Irish band on the 1st and 3rd Fridays from 5pm-8pm

Cold beer and terrible food. I wouldn’t go there again. I will give it a star because They had my favorite beer and it was cold.

We were suggestive sold on the Irish beef stew. Being an Irish pub, I also ordered a Guiness. The food took quite a while so my guess what that they were making the stew when we arrived and it wasn’t quite ready. That was okay since I was meeting up with a very old friend from that neighborhood. More than the slow food service, the only real issue I had was that the place was freezing cold. It was noon so they must have just opened and just put the heat on. I’m not the best person to review this place because we weren’t here when they were playing live music or had a crowd. We were just there for lunch and were the first(and only customers) at that time frame. I think this is probably a bar the locals enjoy on the weekends and if you are a local and like Irish music, its probably a good spot to try on a weekend night.

Super divey, the food really isn’t worth it. I have never received anything besides slow/minimal service here which is why I ultimately stopped going, I always felt ignored. Not a real Irish pub by any means. Kind of depressing to walk by because of the clientele outside.

I am a value guy and this place is a hell of a value. Great food in a great atmosphere with excellent drink prices. The specials are amazing. It definitely has a neighborhood feel with lots of regulars. The bar staff is super. Ian is a star! Wish he was there every night of the week. Taco Tuesday deals are amazing. Karaōke non-stop.

Staff was quick with serving drinks & friendly, nice cold beers(small selection for Portland) but found what we needed. Looks like a nice friendly neighborhood bar. Had a great time here with friends. With so many other choices with more beer offerings not sure we’d come back.

Had the fish & chips, not good, could barely eat it. First off had to ask twice for water while waiting for the food to come. Next, cigarette smoke kept coming in the wide open front door from smokers right outside the door. Food comes about 35 minutes late and the french fries are cold and the obviously inexpensive frozen battered cod came which was well over-cooked and dry. Also asked for catsup when the food came but never got it. Definitely a place I won’t return to for dining.

Maybe I’m a bit biased because this is one of my usual spots, but it is for a reason. The drink prices are extremely fair, especially in comparison to other Portland bars. The food is crazy delish — especially on Taco Tuesday! The staff are attentive and very fun to be around. Karaōke nights are always a blast as well. Most of the fellow patrons are really swell people too. :]

Dump. Loud. Smells like cigarettes. Lotsa drunks yelling. Not good unless you have few teeth and like to smoke.

I’ve been here 2 – 3 times. Great drink prices on your bottom shelf kinda stuff, PBR, Bud Lite. I have never eaten here though, just drinks. They take cards and I don’t believe there’s a card minimum. Jukebox. Good crowd that’s blue collar. I wish there was a special smoking area. I love sitting outside and think they have a nice patio area but wish not everyone on the patio was smoking. I deal though, not a huge issue. Also, this is the closest bar to my house so it’s a welcome sight! The servers have always been friendly, no attitude and seem to like their jobs, that’s important to me. I hate being somewhere where the staff seem annoyed to be there.

Someone needs to teach the bartender how to pour a pint of Guinness. Oh, and lose the Portland hipster attitude.

Just moved to Milwaukie from out of state and I honestly gave Duffy’s several tries over the past two months, but will not likely go back because of the clientele. The staff are great, the food is standard fare and my standby was always Harp on tap. The Irish Nachos are creative and tasty. Wings are on the small side, but are also very good. If you happen to go during daylight hours, you’ll probably have an enjoyable visit. But trying to have a pleasant time after the sun goes down by sitting out on the patio and having relaxed conversation with the other patrons is absolutely impossible. Obnoxious neighborhood drunkards come here in throngs to hang out and then consequently ruin the atmosphere for everyone else. You can’t even hear the person next to you because people are constantly yelling at each other three tables away(or better yet on opposite sides of you). If this is your idea of a good time, then this is your place. If not, go before the sun goes down. Three stars just because I can’t do less b/c of the staff. They’re great. They would be wise to refuse service to the problem people or else their business will suffer.

The guy that gave this place a 2 star is off the rails. Not all Irish pubs have to be alike just because they are«Irish pubs». They have competitively priced drinks and food(traditional Irish fare and otherwise). The bartenders are good, and the owner Judy is a real gem. P. S. They do karaōke nights and also have live music which is pretty good. P. P. S. If you are going to give a place a bad review, it should contain actual information as to why the experience was poor. If you don’t like Milwaukie and think it is lame… go elsewhere

There are some top-notch Irish pubs around town— Kell’s, Dublin’s, et al… This ain’t one of ‘em. There are highly decent watering holes in Milwaukie, I know, I lived out there for several years. Again, this simply ain’t one ‘em. I’d consider this place gracing the top ten list of «night life» in Milwaukie to be far more indicative as a damning indictment of said nightlife in Milwaukie, than of any presumed Top Ten-like worthiness.

What a great fun time. This is such a great environment they served us the best green energy beer. The owner Judy was amazing as well. Check out all the pictures of the pubs. Great prices and great fun.
