We were looking for a Mexican restaurant in the area and Unilocaled this one. Nice, clean place with the family running it. Great service right off the bat with chips, beans and two kinds of salsa. We ordered the ala carte tacos with mashed potatoes and carne asana, chile rellano and shredded beef taco with rice and beans. So much food and delicious. Margarita’s were good. This little place is better than any in Reno! I gave 4 stars because I have two favorites in California that are hard to beat. We will be back to the La Hacienda many times.

La Hacienda has terrific food and great service. My husband and I spent several years in Southern New Mexico where the Mexican cuisine is top notch. We’re now in northern, NV and had been searching for some really good Mexican fare. We stopped by La Hacienda after a movie at the Ironwood Theater and were very impressed by the quality of the food, the wonderful flavors, the service and overall experience. It is a small family-run restaurant so there’s a lot of heart in the place. The servings are generous and prices are good. It’s on our hit list of regular dining spots now. If you want good Mexican, this is the place!

Great food and awesome service! The food was tasty and perfect for the cold weather. The waitress was super kind and they even gave us some tips for the road.

After relocating from southern california my fiancé and I were desperate to find some good mexican food in the area. This place did not disappoint! You’re given a plate of delicious beans along with fresh chips and salsa when you’re seated. We’ve already been back numerous times and everything we’ve ordered so far has been delicious! Our family loves to come here whenever they’re in town to visit.

Will never go again !!! Walked in and there was only one person there at a table. We sat down and waitress came over and gave us menus and never asked if we wanted anything to drink. Then she brought us chips, salsa and water. We ordered 2 bean, cheese, and rice burritos with No sauce. She had no idea what we were talking about. The cook came out and asked us again. They came out covered with sauce and salsa. We got up and walked out!!! Never again :/

This is a very good place. We did our homework on Unilocal and we’re not disappointed. The food was wonderful. By he service above the bar and the price for our 2 dinners was under $ 25. We do not need to search, we have found our place.

Dammit. What happened to this place? As soon as we sat down, we ordered a few Cadilliac Margaritas &, like our last few visits, ordered their ‘spicy’ salsa. our server(owner?) directed us to the Tapatio on the table and told us to spice away… We laughed because we thought he was joking… The $ 9.00 Cadilliac Margaritas are not really– tasting of tangerine juice with(perhaps) a touch of something, they were way too sweet to drink. Our server, having never brought salsa, insisted the pre-made«Cadilliac» margaritas were legit and ignored our table. Questioning our drinks– I guess– was a bad idea, as our server stood, 20 feet away, speaking in Spanish about«How we know nothing.» We’re all right here, Dude. Check please. Bye. Dammit.

Food is typical Mexican food, not bad just nothing different from the other four or five Mexican places in G’ville,(in all fairness however, we ARE a bit spoiled with the San Marcos Grill in Carson) Service was good! Try not to go during the HS lunch time! The place fills up with loud kids and foul language lol

They give you beans with 2 kinds of salsa and 2 chips first off. Yum! I wish the red salsa was chunkier. The kids meals were good choices. Wish they were cheaper. As a family of 5 we could not go often but would love too. The staff was FABULOUS! Fast service very nice. Husband did not care for the carnitas as there was to much fat. They QUICKLY made him a new plate. The beans are creamy and wonderful. I had the enchilada, chili rellenos and carnitas taco. Divine! Now I just need to find a coupon so we can afford to go more often. Is there a kids eat free night?

WOW! What a disappointment! This was our favorite place in Minden. Sorry to say something happened. We ordered the lunch special = An enchilada & tostada with rice & beans & a plate of 3 carnitas tacos(a la carte). The best part of the lunch was the rice & beans. The chicken in the enchiladas was overcooked, dry & tough. The tostada would have been OK, but was garnished with cheap mild cheddar cheese(seemed reminiscent of a Jr. high school cafeteria lunch) The plate of tacos had a high ratio of fatty gristle of which I spit out & left on the plate. I always hate to make a big deal with the server so I left things unsaid. It’s a shame this restaurant couldn’t keep a good thing going. That was our last visit to La Hacienda del Sazon.

So there I was, me and a couple of folks I work with, and the boss wants to take us to lunch. We ended up here, and we were glad that we did. First, and this is important to me, there was a plethora of chips, two kinds of salsa, and refried beans provided upon arrival. There was no need to wait to start eating, and so we did. Second, everybody ordered different things, and none of the five of us was disappointed. There was a huge burrito, and green wet burrito, tacos(both hard shell and traditional), a chile rellano, and enchiladas(mine with a nice mole sauce). Most of the plates came with sides of beans and rice, and you should know that the portions were on the generous side. Third, the service was good. I enjoy a lot of my beverage of choice, water, and I was never left wanting. So, ultimately there are decisions to make about where to spend your hard earned dining dollar, but if you like chips upon arrival, a number of attractive choices and good service, this establishment is worthy of a good long look. I’ll be back.

Honestly, I’ve been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area, and this one definitely takes the cake. First, they have relative to children kids meals. Sometimes, my kids don’t like Mexican food, and they take that into consideration. Most places don’t have normal options such as hamburgers, or chicken nuggets available for kids. I wasn’t all that excited about how the place was decorated, but I wanted to try it anyways. I figured that it is usually the hole in the wall places that are the best. Of course, that ended up being right. The food was hot, and definitely tasty. I can’t remember exactly what I got, but I got a combo plate and boy was that a lot of food! Definitely well worth the money. My husband got a sandwich which was drenched in a red sauce, but had fresh avocado in it. He also got a chile rellano, which I tried as well — that was FANTASTIC! I also love the fact that they serve their appetizer chips with a plate of beans, which was enough to satiate my kids until their food came out. Quite honestly, it was amazing. I won’t be going to any other Mexican restaurant!

Stopped in here while visiting lake tahoe for the weekend! Coming from San Diego where great Mexican food is abundant, I can say that this place is awesome! You sit down, they bring you salsa, chips, and beans before you order. Everything on the menu is priced reasonably. We ordered the Chile rellano, hacienda burrito, and the taquito racheros. All were great and tasted fresh. The taquitos had thick pieces of white chicken, the burrito was huge, and the chili rellano was one of the best i’ve ever had. to top it all off they bring you a dessert; a cinnamony crusted fried tortilla with whipped cream. Should I ever find myself driftin through Minden again i will definitely stop for a bite! — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - There is also a pizza factory right next door, its pretty good as well! don’t play the Rush race car game though, it will take your money faster then a cracked out baby momma at an arco gas station in Bishop while you try to help her out with her broken cart cuz you feel some empathy towards the child whose mom is so unfittingly raising him. …yeah that game will take your money.
