200th review! I have been here a few times to buy wine and liquor. This is an outstanding place to do so. Of all of the liquor stores in the Twin Cities, this location ranks somewhere in the top 5. When I first gave this place a try, I was skeptical because the nearby neighborhoods are somewhat rough. My thoughts were proven to be wrong. This place exceeded my expectations by a lot. I am glad I tried this place! Unlike other nearby liquor stores, this location is easy to access and easy to find. There is lots of room for parking. I am glad to have a liquor store in this area that I do not have to struggle to find a parking spot. This place has an amazing selection of alcohol to purchase. They have a variety of beer, wine, and liquor. I drink most wine and liquor, and I love that I am always able to find something that pertains to my interests. They have a great amount of space, and they use it well. The prices are reasonable. I do not feel like I am breaking the bank when purchasing a good quality bottle. The employees appear to have a great eye on cleanliness and order. I have never had any major problems with messes or clutter. Therefore, I always feel comfortable walking in there. Everything in there is arranged and labeled well. I have never had any problems finding what I am looking for. The employees are always friendly and helpful. They are also resourceful when I need it. A couple of individuals gave me some great suggestions regarding new wines that they first started carrying at that time. Both of those suggestions were wonderful. The employees are also great at carrying a good conversation during their slow times. When I am in the area and need some more wine or liquor, I will continue coming here. I feel like I can count on them to have everything that I want.

The store itself is fine, they have a good selection of beers, wine and whatever else. It appears to be a family-run business, and the staff is friendly. The problem with this store is just the atmosphere and occasionally the customers, as they get a wide variety of people in there who are sometimes belligerent, drunk or whatever the case may be. Plus the shop is part of the strip mall area on this block, which is really a pain to navigate whether you’re walking or driving. Hi-Lake’s parking lot is tiny and it’s difficult to avoid other vehicles sometimes. Keep your eyes open to the traffic, whether in a car or on foot.
