I’ve been here several times and I would normally say it is average but there are better phở shops on Eat Street. Today, however, it was really bad on many levels so I am going with 1 star for complete inconsistency. Arrived to a nearly empty dining room and there was no one to greet us. The lone guy working the dining room was busy trying to deliver food and called over to us to «go ahead and sit anywhere» which would normally be a fine plan except that all of the empty tables were littered with the detritus of previous diners. The poor guy working the room was obviously unable to keep up with clearing tables too so it was really an awkward and unwelcome dining room to see and walk into. Also, the place was freezing. Cold air was blowing out of the vents and I initially thought I was just cold from coming in from outside but I then noticed that the 7 or 8 diners in the place all were wearing their parkas while eating so it was not just me. It was probably 45 – 50 degrees in the place. We asked if they could turn on the heat and a woman told us that it had been broken so the repair guy had been out earlier that day and fixed it so it should be fine now. Obviously the guy that repaired it was probably related to the same incompetent person that decided to put only 1 person on the schedule for the lunch rush in the dining room. Thought about walking out at that point but made the bad decision to stay. The phở tasted less like true bone broth and more like instant soup base. It was ok but the prices seem to have gone up and the kitchen made a weird error: 2 of my companions ordered a vegetarian phở and after they had started eating, the server came back with a bowl full of cooked cabbage that he said the kitchen had forgotten to put in and asked if he wanted us to just leave it on the table for them to add in or eat. Not the end of the world but it was kind of an odd mid-meal correction and probably would have been overlooked except that after taking some of the cabbage out to eat, a long hair was found in the bottom of the bowl. Ok, that did it and the combination of issues pretty much ensured that lunch was a total fail on this visit. It is going to be hard for me to find a reason to re-visit Phở Hoa again when there are consistently great phở shops found within a couple blocks. This visit did it in for me.

Disappointing and bad phở forever. I and my family came here today(Sunday Dec 20,2015) to try a new phở restaurant. This is a poor and bad Phở I have never tried before. With the price almost $ 10(including tax and tip) for a big bowl of Ph Tái, Bò Viên(Noodle soup with eye round steak and meat balls), I only got a big bowl of two ½ slice meat balls, 6 very thin slices of beef meat and the rest is noodle and soup. The taste of this is not good at all. Also, the service is very slow. No refill Water at all. If they ask you what kind of bowl you want?(Big or small bowl). You have to know the only difference between big bowl and small bowl is the amount of noodle. I will not come back this place again.

Phở is simple and great here. Friendly staff and helpful. First time here and there is parking on site which is great in this area. Fresh spring rolls were good too and great peanut sauce.

A lot of people said Quang is best phở, but less than 10% Vietnamese come to Quang. First the broth at Phở Hoa consistent and much better than Quang. Second the Fatty flank and flank are well repair not like Quang always over cook. Third the chicken phở, the broth cook with chicken not like other places using beef broth for chicken phở. If anyone want compare Phở have to take a look at the broth, fatty flank and flank that are most important things to compare that will tell you how good the chief in the kitchen. We usually come to Phở Hoa at least two time a week for Phở.

Extremely slow service. Everyone got dinners At different times. Some dinners came out before appetizers. Not refilled in beverages. Egg rolls burned. Very flavorless food. I’ve really tried to like this place but never again. There is a reason why Quangs has a little wait and is always busy where Phở hoa is always empty.

Great Phở! Good Vegetarian options too! Staff was friendly and atmosphere was pleasant. Clean restaurant and the prices won’t leave you broke. It’s also nice that they are open until 10. All around great dining experience.

Great Phở. There’s not much else to choose from — if phở is in their name, phở should be what you order! It’s solid, no complaints.

I like this place, great little hole in the wall. Staff is friendly prices fair service is rocket fast. Most of the clients are Asian and that is what I look for when eating ethnic food.

Roomy, not so crowded and the prices are good compared to burger or American sandwich meals. I came there one in awhile for a meal. Last Friday, I had a vermicelli with grilled shrimps; quite large plate($ 8.50), my wife had a «bun bo hue»(probably $ 8.50) which they were better than average compare to other Vietnamese restaurants in the areas. I gave 5 stars for this kind of class restaurants.

Fresh amazing food, great prices and attentive service. It doesn’t get any better for some good phở!

This place is no Bueno! The food isn’t good at all. Also usually other places 1 order of eggrolls come with 2 eggrolls. This place is 1 order = 1 eggroll.

Probably one my favorite phở place in town. The broth is delicious through the brisket and tendon are a little tough. Makes up for it with good prices and service and coffee.

The food here is very good. The staff are very polite, and the chefs are Vietnamese. Bob Carlson Brainerd would not cook these dishes as well. I had the vermicelli with grilled pork and shrimp, with fish sauce. And the pork spring rolls. This is more of a quick lunch kind of place than Quang, in my opinion. Not five stars because they don’t serve anything unusual. But when I’m sick, a phở is just what I want.

Favorite part about phở are those little blubs of fat that my mom usually wouldn’t let me eat but Phở Hoa actually serves. and generously too. It’s like melting ice cream in my mouth(sounds gross I know but it isn’t!) I always call whichever one that says fatty something, haven’t been able to properly identify what the fat blub is called yet(#98?) and with a honey dew bubble tea. They are kinda slacking on the veggie garnish but my main prey is the meat so I don’t mind. Their bubble tea and banh mi are awesome too, never had a problem with this place, will be coming back to cure those bad hangovers.

Other places can be hit or miss, but here the phở is always consistent and also very authentic. How do i know? Because all the Viet go here. I usually come in at least once a week for lunch to get my fix and the service is fast and friendly. Also try #11& the avocado shake

Slightly embarrassed to admit this, but I’m pretty sure this was the first time I ever had phở. I don’t eat out often(unless it’s Chic Fil A), but always open to trying new foods. I’m pretty sure it met Alex’s standards and he’s far more accustomed to this type of food so I’ll take his word for it. Oh, and the chicken báhn mi was my favorite!

My friends and I went here on New Year’s Day & I must say that I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience. Not just me, but my friends, too. We waited literally 30 minutes for our server to come and take out order! It was ridiculous! My pet peeve at all restaurants is when your server takes order from another group who came AFTER you. My friends & I felt very ignored. Every time, I would try to get the attention of an employee, they’d just walk pass me. It was very frustrating & annoying! Once we finally got our phở, they didn’t even serve us all the veggies that were supposed to be served with it. So there goes another downfall. And the whole time we were eating there, no one ever came by to refill our cups of water. Lastly, the guy who took our order also messed up when we were trying to pay. Like, dude, we know exactly what we got! Listen to your customers! I was super disappointed and am never going back to Phở Hoa!

Disappointing. And definitely not my favorite. I came here to try a new place and left shaking my head wondering why I ventured from what I know and(already) love. Their menu purports to be all about being a healthy option, but the meatball phở I ordered was super greasy and the meatballs were flubbery. The broth was boring and didn’t seem to be seasoned at all, with the exception of something super acidic? I don’t know, I don’t understand it either. The chicken spring roll was good, but yet very bland as well. It’s the only thing I ate after abandoning my phở, so a spring roll does not a meal make. The best part about this restaurant is that they have off street parking, making it super convenient to come here once, park, get in and get out and not come back again.

Oh baby! I’ve never had phở in my life and now I’ll be searching all over LA to find a place that rivals this. It’s a very low key spot, kinda out in the open, but you just gotta give it a try! Unbeatable prices and freshness would definitely make me a regular if I was local. I had the regular size all veggie soup with a spring roll(which both items are quite large in portion size, I might add). A dinner for two will unlikely go over $ 20(unless your guest has a second stomach, like my Dad lol) in which case your order may be $ 25. I will definitely be returning here, when I get back to the Twin cities :)
