They charge $ 5 for a slice, that’s more expensive than pizza in mid town Manhattan NYC. There is pizza is garbage, they will only sell u a bottle of water for 2.49z. Customer service is non existent they are con artists they are sleeve balls. Do your selfe a favor and don’t waste your money here. God willing they will go out of business in a year.

Do not go here! Long story short I found a bobby pin in my slice of pizza! Completely outrageous. I went back inside to demand my money back and told that wasn’t possible. Then was turned away by the manager only to be offered a free slice after I just was gouged in the roof of my mouth by a piece of metal. I repeat do not go here, this place is garbage.

I have been here a few times for a slice of pizza. This is a decent place for a good and quick snack. I have better luck in the day time than in the night time. Often, the parking is difficult. I often have to park a block away to get the closest spot from here. I have best luck parking by The Saloon, which is two block away and an easy walk. The distance and the parking are not huge issues with me, and I know it is not the business’s fault. In their behalf, the employees always appear to have a good eye on cleanliness and order. The night staff appear to be better at this because I have never seen any issues during this time. Whereas, during the day time, I have only seen minor issues but nothing that will scare me away. Therefore, I have always felt comfortable walking in here to buy a snack. The employees are always friendly and usually in good spirits. Some have been good with striking a good and short conversation during their slow times. The slow times mostly happen during the night time. The employees are also good at serving my pizza at a reasonable speed. I have never had to wait any longer than two minutes for my slice, even when it is busy. The quality of their food needs some work because it ranges between mediocre to good. I have never walked out of there and said that the slice tasted delicious. It often tastes like it has been in open air for a few hours. This applies especially with their crust. I find that the pizza tastes fresher during the day time than at night. Nonetheless, the convenience often outweighs the quality when I am hungry and in the area. I order either the cheese or the sausage pizza, depending on my mood. When I am in the area and need a good snack, I will continue coming here during the day time. I feel like I can count on them for better overall quality during this time than at night.

Considering it was 130am and I was starving this was really good food! The owner was friendly and yes, if you are a drunk idiot he will treat you as such. Luckily we were just hungry and in need of a late night bite. The pizza crust was crunchy and thin and the meats and cheeses were hot and fresh. It was all you could ask for in a late night generous slice of pie!

Don’t go here. The cashier tried to charge me nearly double the posted menu price for my slice(of cheese, nothing special) until I called him out on it, and then he did the same thing to my friend on the next transaction. On top of it, the pizza was not very good. They were even rude about allowing me to use the bathroom, and then the drunk kid puking all over his table was just the icing on the cake.

This place is extremely over priced, and the pizza I paid for wasn’t even worth it. The pizza tastes stale and old like it’s been sitting out for days. I agree with others, definitely a trap if you’re drunk and hungry this food is way over priced for poor quality. Definitely not recommended.

The taste was mediocre for pizza that gets reheated. This place seemed like a good idea because we were drinking and obviously needed some pizza to soak up the booze. It wasn’t a good idea 4 hours later when we all were in the bathroom throwing up from food poisoning. Be ware of this place if you don’t feel like getting sick!

This place is not recommended! I think they have sketchy prices and pricey! Basically expensive pizza slice for drunk people. Please avoid it all cost unless you don’t find a place to eat after 2 am :)

This place is amazing. The spinach and olive pizza is fantastic and the lamb and veggie calzone was soooo good. Plus the guys who work here are adorable and very accommodating. I highly recommend this place, especially after a night of drinking.

This place had awesome service, and I highly recommend the BBQ pizza! They pizza was surprisingly a little bit spicy. It’s definitely something I would regard as a late night treat. Don’t concern yourself with reviews by people who were«ripped off» — it’s downtown pricing. The people who work here are nice, too, although they’re usually super busy here, so it may be hard to strike up some conversation. Overall, a very cool place, and definitely an A+ in my book! And my goodness — spilt the red velvet with your date!

Do not go here. They will rip you off. We came in and ordered two slices of ‘specialty pizza’ — mac and cheese and gyro. Specialty pizza is listed as $ 4.75/slice so it should have been maybe $ 10 – 10.50. Instead, we got a price of over $ 13. When I asked why, they said that ‘more toppings cost extra’. This is not listed anywhere on the menu at all, nothing is priced per topping. They obviously are trying to overcharge stupid drunk people who aren’t paying attention, because when I questioned it we were offered multiple drinks from the cooler to make up for it. Very shady, would not recommend.

I honestly don’t know how to rate Pizza la Vista. When I lived downtown, I used to come here all the time at 2 in the morning when the bars close, and the pizza was amazing! I always got the gyro pizza, and it was always exactly what wanted. Recently, I have went there for lunch(while sober), expecting the same experience, and I was beyond disappointed. The pizza just was not very good; the cheese was waxy, the crust was burnt, and the toppings were salty. All in all, it’s greasy, salty pizza. Sometimes that’s a good thing, other times it is not.

Just okay pizza. Too expensive for what you get I think. But it’s first avenue so the rent is high I’m sure.

Disclaimer: I’ve only been here at bar close. This is NOT a good place to go at bar close. The line was out the door. The employees were openly hostile towards the wanna-be patrons, and the pizza was just«ok». It’s pretty much the same scenario(maybe a little nicer) as the crappy city pizza joint on 5th street. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was related. I wouldn’t recommend either of them, buuuut, when it’s pizza time, and you don’t want to walk 3 extra blocks and pay a little more to get the only good pizza available at that time of night(Luce), it does the trick. Just stay on the worker’s good sides or you may be sorry!

I absolutely agree with the other reviews thus far. This is another one of those reheated pizza/stromboli joints, and I thought Downtown Pizza or whatever by the Hennepin LRT station had a monopoly on this nearly unnecessary subset of pizza places. But here comes Pizza La Vista, only steps away from the same LRT station across 1st Ave! I had the stromboli the first time I was here and it had that too-crispy/crunchy, reheated-in-the-oven sensation, but it was at least edible. Foolishly I tried this a second time and even though they reheated my two pizza slices, it seemed like the cheese had not melted properly and it was pretty gross. Also, they will rip you off for a soda and before you know it you’re spending far too much for what you get. I only really tried the place out of curiosity and the second time I stopped by because I thought it would be really quick, although the service was lackluster and it actually took much longer than I thought it would. Don’t be surprised if you’re the only one in there. Maybe it fills up with drunks looking for something to choke down late at night but during the day no one is in there. There are so many other viable options nearby. Ugh, and to think what could be in this space instead…

Hell has frozen over, I found a pizza I don’t like. Not only dont like, but wont eat after a happy hour, a bottle of wine, and 7 hours without food. For someone who eats pizza . for lunch, I was a little skeptical when our group veered from our plans of heading to pizza luce(yum, bear), and tried out pizza la vista. Super thin, but seriously it was eating cardboard with some cheddar cheese and really tangy awkward bbq sauce. I SHOULD have loved this place, but cmon…

Pizza La Vista is another in a long line of pizza/gyros/stromboli places serving til really late. Sadly, it’s not very good, even at being what it is. The pies are, mostly, ultra-thin sorta-NY style, though there was one deep dish on hand when I stopped in. No heat lamps or anything keeping them warm; slices are tossed in the oven for a minute or so upon order. The net effect seems to be pretty similar to throwing leftover pie in the oven the next day — extremely crispy crust and that special reheated feel. Spicing is non-existent, and the meat pizza’s sausage pieces were miniscule and pepperoni was sparse. The ziti-topped pizza was somewhat better in terms of texture, but flavor was again completely absent. No fountain drinks or tap water are available, all drinks are bottles/cans. Can of soda was $ 1.25. Slices were $ 2 each on introductory special, but I’d be hard pressed to say any significant value was offered. I did not sample the gyros or stromboli, though from all indications, the stuff here is standard restaurant-in-a-box build your own generic late night pizza/gyros/stromboli joint, and the budget model thereof, from what I can tell — not even the standard gyro pie option, a saving grace of such establishments, was on offer. I’d say hours would be a redeeming factor, but with Luce two blocks away, offering superior pie at not-too-much-higher prices after the introductory specials disappear, and open just as late, I’m hard pressed to recommend this except in cases of extreme cravings for the particular bottom-tier sorta-NY style they offer. Two stars awarded because unlike the place I gave one star to, I did finish my meal, disappointing as it may have been. Crummy, but not offensively so.
