Just moved into the hood and was pleasantly surprised by the really good food here-!! The Special Spring Roll I would have had for dessert too if I had room-!! Where would you find fried pork in a spring roll-?? Who would even think of it-?? Amazing, large and I ate the whole thing myself-!! The entrée, Pork with Tofu, Black Mushrooms and Onions — delicious and I will have two more meals-!! And only five minutes away-!! Luvving it-!!

Found this gem through Groupon. Continuously revisiting for their noodle salad combo! Generous portions and amazing flavor!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would because we never actually ended up eating there after sitting at a table for 20 minutes and having no one wait on us. We went there on a recent Friday night and the woman in the front warned us service would be slow… the understatement of the year. Well apparently she was the only one taking orders along with her other duties of checking people in, answering the phones, etc. We knew it would be bad when we were there around 15 minutes and several tables that had come in ahead of us were still waiting to have their orders taken. Plus another couple had clearly finished eating when we arrived and were sitting there waiting for their checks. Since we didn’t feel like having a 2-hour meal we left. How can you recommend a place with such horrible, understaffed service. RIDICULOUS!

Not very good, I had the Phở… Noodles were wierd, they did not serve it with bean sprouts, lime, or peppers. Then the price for my food was different than they showed on the menu.

The hot and spicy chicken will blow your mind. Every.dang.time. I mean, seriously. It’s really not as «hot and spicy» as the name would have you think though. I’d give it a 2 out of 5 in terms of spice. It’s easily the best thing you will ever eat in your life. The egg rolls are the size of a baby arm. Also, mindblowing. Just do it. TRUST.ME.

Had a groupon and decided to go check it out. Got there around 730 and was rushed to order as they were closing at 8. Got the appetizer sampler platter it was honestly pretty tasty. I can never choose one appetizer so this sampler hit the spot. It had fried pork wontons, cream cheese wontons, 1 amazing egg roll and chicken wings(and drummies). For my meal I had shrimp and lobster sauce. I added broccoli it was tasty. And there were lots of shrimps. Was an extra $ 2.50 to add broccoli(this price didn’t match the menu said $ 2) still too steep to charge. My husband had the beef lo mein it was pretty tasty and was a large portion. Our fault for getting there that late but didn’t like feeling rushed like that. Was not welcoming or enjoyable. Friendly staff though even through the rushing. Prices for meals are a bit pricey definitely worth a look and a taste.

It’s been hard finding a decent place for lunch near my work. The best option has always been Chipotle. Nothing against Chipotle, its fine establishment, but it does get a little boring when your eating it as often as I have been because it was the only decent option. After expressing a desire to try something different, a couple co-workers of mine took me here for lunch, and I had a very good experience. The staff was very friendly and quick to refill waters. The appetizers were delicious. I tried the House Special Spring Rolls and Imperial Egg Rolls. Very filling and an excellent lunch option. The Vietnamese Ice Coffee was perfect, and the Curry Pork hit the spot. This may become my regular spot for lunch before work. I like Cali’s & Que Viet, but this is my new favorite joint for Vietnamese cuisine. Give it a try! Bön Appétit

Yes, I’m white American. But my boyfriend is Vietnamese so I’ve been trained by an expert :) The Good: Our waitress was friendly and quick. And the dishes were clean and matching. The beef in the phở was generous and tender. The Bad: The phở had zero flavor. Not worth $ 10 per bowl. Just salty water and the noodles were too al dente. They skipped on basil and the other herbs normally served with phở. Just bean sprouts and lime. I understand if they skip these if I’m by myself, but with my Vietnamese speaking boyfriend they know that we know. The shrimp spring rolls were large but had too many noodles and not enough lettuce for me. I was hoping it would be good spot for phở, since it’s so close to my new apartment. It looks like I’ll need to drive to University Ave the next time.

This place is more of platter restaurant not a phở restaurant. The phở was about $ 10, which is more than I usually pay for phở. The phở was really fresh tasting. You can tell they use better ingredients in their phở. The slices of beef were tender and melted in your mouth. Unfortunately most people I know would not pay $ 10 for a bowl of phở this size.

Delicious Vietnamese fare. Chicken curry was a little soupy for my taste, but still good. Sesame chicken was saucy. Egg rolls were eggcellent ;) thank you for supporting the gluten free world and denoting this on your menu. I will be back!

Hadn’t eaten there in years and remembered how great the beef and potatoes were so ordered delivery from Diningin. Arrived on time but was absolutely terrible. Greasy, over cooked potatoes and tough in edible beef. My husband stir fried spicy squid was even worse. Should have just survived on old memories!

I’ve been eating here for over 25 years, and years ago the service was very good. The staff was very friendly and courteous and the food was excellent. However, over the past 10 years the wait staff has become less and less friendly and downright rude. Today the lady who served us was exceptionally rude and we felt as though we were inconveniencing her by being there. We will not be returning again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is no where near«decent» food. The broth of the soups taste like water and a load of MSG. I didn’t even finish my food after 2 bites. I honestly wished I had taken a picture of the food. I am Vietnamese, so when someone bad mouths me from the kitchen. I can definitely hear it and understand. I ordered phở, spring rolls, and egg rolls. The person in the back was apparently upset that they had to make the food. Other than that, the restaurant appears to be nicely decorated if that matters. Even after I paid I had tipped them 20%…even though they didn’t do anything for me… or refill my water. As I was walking out I still heard them bad mouthing me in Vietnamese. It is what it is. The restaurant is nice on the inside, but the food was pretty gross…

Love their egg rolls. Fried rice is average but sill good. My only complaint is that they charge more or add a takeout fee when you order food to go– which is ridiculous!

Flavors are fine for the price but service is incredibly rude and the cleanliness of the dishes is questionable at best. I’ve given them a chance 4 – 5 times but I’m done. Someone else will get my business from now on.

This place is so unbelievable! You can’t find better asian food anywhere. The egg rolls are to die for. I tried 6 different entrees when I came here last and loved every single one of them. The dishes are very unique and different. I am a meet lover, but if you are a vegetarian make sure you try the tofu with fried potatoes and onions. The staff and service is great as well!

Can’t believe the weren’t more people in this place for lunch. Great food. The phở was delicious, as was the fried rice. My friend got one of the platters and said it was great. Atmosphere is a little tired, but if you’re looking for some good Vietnamese at a good rate, this is your place.

When I first moved to Richfield. I thought Vina was an Italian restaurant. I was quite mistaken. The egg rolls are incredible. My favorite comfort food dish is the deep fried potatoes with beef and onions. If I were on death row, it would be my last meal. Their spring rolls are excellent too.

Update: I called to speak with the manager yesterday and he told me the only way he would refund my money is if I got the food out of the garbage and brought it back for inspection. He said IF he thought it was as bad as I said, he would refund my money out of the cooks hourly wages. I told him thanks for nothing as I don’t think it’s the cooks fault you order low quality product and serve it to customers at a higher price than the highland location. He also told me he didn’t care about the online reviews because«there have been so many bad ones». Class act. Not the same quaily as the Vina in St. Paul — highland park. I ordered the same thing I get from the highland park location about once a month(egg roll salad and cream cheese puffs) and it was disgusting. Unedable and went straight in the garbage. The egg roll and puffs we’re fried so much I could barely even bite through them. The cream cheese puffs tasted sour and the sweat and sour sauce tasted like ketchup. I offered some of the puff to my golden retriever who enjoys eating garbage and she even spit it out. I am calling today to see if I can get some sort of refund. Unacceptable experience.

Went with a groupon and was worried with the mixed reviews. The service was simple and quick for lunch. The place was decently busy for a Monday afternoon. 2 of us had phở, our 3rd had sesame chick and fried rice. Of course we got egg rolls to share. My phở was amazing, the egg rolls were crispy and fresh. I was jealous I couldn’t eat everything. All made in house. No generic anything. As to the other reviews saying the place was dirty they must have made an effort. The carpet looked new. Walls and tables were clean etc. I will be back!

Had an appointment in the neighborhood and decided to grab a quick bite aforehand. Nice place with friendly, attentive staff. Ordered off the lunch menu and it arrived very quickly and very(temperature) hot; perfect for the business-day lunch. I had the Spicy Chicken with eggroll. I was pleased to see that they offer a vegetarian eggroll for non-pork eaters, and was able to sub it for the one that would have come with the meal. The eggroll was as delicious as I’ve had anywhere. The Spicy Chicken was the soupy, salty variety, maybe better than I’ve had in that category, but I prefer the less gloppy style. Still it was very flavorful and I enjoyed it nonetheless. Came with fried rice that was slightly more traditional – with fried egg and not artificially browned with soy sauce. Overall, a decent Vietnamese restaurant experience.

I really wanted to love this place, because it has that cute, hole-in-the-wall feel to it, and the server was nice. But…I didn’t really love it. Went into the place on a whim, after deciding Leeann Chin was too boring for us. This place did have good chicken spring rolls, though all that was in them was chicken, iceberg lettuce, and bean sprouts. I ordered the ginger chicken, and while the portion was big enough to share with my fiancé, the flavor was not so big. As many others mentioned, the menu is mostly Americanized Chinese, not Vietnamese. If you are craving good Vietnamese, I recommend Quangs! I did notice that that place stayed pretty busy– so this must fit the bill for someone out there?!

Dear Vina I notice that you claim yourself to be a Vietnamese restaurant, but you don’t even come close. You are a poor rendition of a outdated Chinese restaurant who offers a very limited selection of actual Vietnamese food. Your service though is on point of what I would expect of a Vietnamese restaurant, which is usually crappy. I am Vietnamese and I am sometimes disappointed in my own culture. Also, would it hurt to buy some new tables or put a table cloth on? Because my shirt sleeves stuck to the table.Gross. To elaborate on my dislike for this establishment, lets start with the service. Typical unfriendliness, but what really put the nail in the coffin was when my husband asked the server for a booster chair and she pointed to the other side of the restaurant of where they were. The food, was some of the worst I have ever had. Seriously. First off the amount of food you get for the price is absolutely absurd. Secondly, I was truly expecting food to taste good for the fact that this place has been around since the 80s and proved to have staying power. The Shrimp and Tofu in Ginger Sauce looked like a big pile of mush and did not even taste like ginger. I don’t know why I even took the left over home. The sesame chicken contained about 8 pieces and cost me $ 10. It was barely enough to feed one person. I can’t imagine that their food would even fill up a quart if you were to order take out. If people seriously think the food is fantastic I am going to assume it is because they have never had better. FYI deep fried food, such and wontons, egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken pretty much taste the same everywhere. So, raving about typical Americanized Chinese food is irrelevant.
