The donuts are good, and really cool looking. This quickly became a favorite spot of ours to go get donuts when we moved out here from Chicago. However the locations do seem to be poorly managed. I recently took advantage of the Groupon deal for a dozen donuts. The deal said you had to place your order 18 hours in advance, which I thought was a little excessive to begin with. We tried to get on the company’s website to view the different choices of doughnuts and the menu was completely empty. I know the donuts used to be listed on there, so I’m not sure where they went, but it made for a very difficult order. Because of this we decided to drive into the Irvine location because it is closer to our work which we would drive past in the morning and could pick up our order. When we arrived at the Irvine location I am sad to say we were not impressed. The donut selection and decorations on the donuts were nothing like what we were used to at the Mission Viejo location. The Irvine one is very small with no seating while the Mission Viejo location has nice leather chairs to sit and hang out and what you eat your delicious donuts. When I told the woman in Irvine that I wanted to place an order for the Groupon, she explained to me that you do not actually pick out your donuts in advance they just want you to give them the Groupon number and let them know that you will be picking up your 12 donuts the following day. She explained that they do this so that they know how many extra donuts they may have to be making the following day. She explained that we could come anytime the following day to pick up our 12 donuts but we would have to pick from the selection that was Already on the counters you do not choose any donut on the menu. The whole process was very confusing and didn’t seem to be well-planned. I placed my order anyways, I’m showed up the following day around lunchtime to pick up my dozen donuts. When I arrived the place was picked clean they were barely any choices of donuts left on the counter. The Groupon is for premium donuts yet the only choices I had wherefore regular glazed every day donuts. The man there told me that these were the only donuts they had and if I were to choose from these it would not be worth it to use the group on deal and that I should come back the following day. This is disappointing as I had just driven 20 minutes from work on my lunch break to pick up donuts for coworkers and came back empty-handed I will be going back tomorrow to pick up my donuts early in the morning to beat the crowd, and hopefully this time I will get my donuts. I should mention that the worker told me that they had a busy morning due to the Holiday and they weren’t expecting it… but isn’t that the reason we had to place our order on advance? So they could make sure they had enough? They required me to give my phone number when I placed the order so couldn’t they have called? Anyway, I am still a fan of the donuts and the mission viejo location but this was definitely a disappointing experience. 11÷12÷13 I just wanted to log back in and edit my review by updating everyone with my experience today. I went back in to the Irvine location to finally pick up my Groupon order and the selection of donuts was much larger and the donuts that they did have were decorated as expected the ones that were supposed to have whipped cream on them had whipped cream. There were plenty to choose from and I am happy to finally have my delicious donuts

Scam. Wanted to try them with a groupon. First they wanted a reservation. Seriously? Are they a spa? Maybe they have a box ready for you? No you still pick. Do I need a reservation to come any time? They also first had me drive to mission Viejo 25 miles! And I wasn’t on the list lol. Then had to drive to Irvine. Disgusting behavior. You think I’ll come back again? Nope, the only extra effort I’m making is calling the bank and charging back the groupon. They literally meant devil. They ruined my Sunday family time morning and exasperated my post Halloween hangover.

THISISNOT A REVIEW. It would be a review if they had been open. The website said open, Unilocal said open. The door and the lights said otherwise. The times posted on the windows said Monday-Friday until 10… Friday and Saturday times had been scraped off. It was 9:45pm and they were closed, no reason given. Not sure if I’d bother making the trip again, fancy donut or no fancy donut it’s just a bit weak.

Well lets start off by saying that their donuts are over priced $ 27 for a dozen donuts is unheard of! We got a variety of donuts most of them appeared to be unique with the flavors but after biting into them you quickly realize that they are just your basic cake donuts. Their staff didn’t know what to say when my lady asked whats your favorite the girl simply replied they haven’t made them yet. The donuts are still yummy though but I am very disappointed with this donut shop I was expecting something very different and only got the ordinary.

didn’t get a great variety coming in the later afternoon however the ones that I did try all tasted like normal, run of the mill donuts. unfortunately, the prices make you expect a higher quality. chocolate mint, mocha, hello kitty, blueberry something, and some random chocolate all were ok except for the fact that the 5 of these cost me $ 15. no thanks!

Wow! And not in a good way. The Internet states they open at 6am, the door states 5am. My husband and I pull up at 6:15am and it looks closed. Only a few lights are on inside and an «open» window sign. We Walk up to the counter and the menu posted is unbelievable; wanted to try so many items. Here’s the funny part, they only have 6 variety of donuts available in the case to choose from(most were just regular, can get anywhere, donuts). I ask the young lady assisting us if there were more she was putting out. She replied no, it takes her 6hrs to prepare them! So my question why open if you don’t even have of the donuts available that you advertise and are known for. The display case/empty trays were dirty. The positive note is she was nice and the standard Chocolate Donut and apple fritter were pretty good. But nothing to go out of my way again for.

Based on the reviews(this was a couple months back) and the photos I was really excited to try this place. So, finally on a trip up to Dana Point we opted to trek an extra couple miles up the 5 and swing by this place. We picked up half a dozen donuts for around $ 20 bucks and was first stunned by their light-weight physique. The donuts looked larger-than-life awesome in the photos. In person… not so much. My biggest beef however was the dryness. The donuts despite it being a Saturday(prime donut time) were stale? We were looking for over-the-top decadence, instead we found pop tarts. All of which would have been forgivable to an A-OK experience if it weren’t for the price or excess thereof. I know it’s Orange County and I know they are selling something in a S’More flavor that shouldn’t be(super fancy), but at $ 3+ for a stale«premium» donut, not my thing. This place should have should have sold me a donut that was fresh, tasty and I could barely finish.

I was pretty damn excited when I found out that I would be eating donuts on the way home from San Diego. For the price I was paying for each donut, I was expecting a party in my mouth from the first bite! But sadly, these donuts were disappointing. Nothing special about them. Which takes me to the price. $ 2.50 for a donut? Are you kidding me? The price I paid for only three donuts, I could have gotten a dozen from another doughnut shop for some bombeezy donuts! I will give them that the presentation of the donuts were unique. Maybe that’s the appeal? Will I be back? Naaah! Wayyyy out of the way. I’ll stick to my Donuttery! lol

I really wanted to like this place, but just cannot. These new style doughnut shops are mostly hype if you ask me. We came in and the girl that helped us was really nice. We checked out the selection and decided to try a few; 1 red velvet, 1 s’mores, 1 rootbeer, 1 pbj, 1 salted truffle maple bar, and 1 blueberry pie. The only one I liked was the maple bar. Red velvet just tasted liken a regular doughnut with red food coloring, rootbeer was reminiscent of pepto bismol or the bottle cap candy flavored root beer, s’mores just tasted like a chocolate doughnut that was trying too hard to be something it wasn’t, the blueberry pie had way too much frosting and was waaaay too sweet… and the PBJ was just alright. Next time we will stick to basics and stay local and grab some donuts from our local doughnut shop.

May have been an order fail on my part or something. Had the bacon, maple bar. Turns out it is just a strip of bacon on top of a maple bar. Disappointing. Is this how everyone does these? I was hoping for something more original. Tasted fine, fresh, etc. Nice clean location. Some of the more creative donuts looked better. A little expensive(2.50-$ 3) for fancier donuts but they also had some basic ones for $ 1 or under. I’d try again but pass on the bacon bar.

I’m not a donut fan, but these are pretty darn good. The best was the Chocolate peanut butter toffee. I could feel cavities forming as I ate it, but didn’t care. Awesome! Bacon maple bar tastes like breakfast! The chocolate bacon bar though… not so much. Blueberry — good, but not as good as M&M blueberry donuts Pecan donut was like pecan pie! All the donuts were very well decorated, almost like a fancy cupcake place. It wasn’t exactly cheap, but it’s obviously trying to be a upscale donut shop. They have a lot of tables and free wifi, so it’s a nice place to stop for a snack. I’m not sure how often I will eat donuts, but if I ever have a craving, I would go here before Krisy Kreme now.

Donuts in MV??? HAVETOTRYMESOME! Though I first heard of this place during the Downtown Disney Elite event, I didn’t try DD until my co-workers brought me a Red Velvet to thank me for bringing them VooDoo while I was in PDX. The Red Velvet was divine! Not too sweet and perfect with the cream and raspberry they put in the middle. MMM. Though I don’t crave donuts very often it is very dangerous that this place is so close to my work!

I have to start off with a small disclaimer: I abhor doing reviews of fast food places! Speaking in general terms, there is very little which separates one establishment from the other, so I feel many times I am regurgitating the same information over and over again. I am specifically reviewing Devilicious Donuts because of their participation in the Downtown Disney Dine Around Event. Rohlinism: If you are going to call yourself high-end anything, you are going to get held to those standards. The loving wife and I woke up early Sunday morning(What else is new? Chief is still with us in spirit.) and drove down to Devilicious for an early morning sugar high. I wasn’t overly impressed with the selection of donuts and I believe I heard another customer complain while were eating they were out of a donut(this was first thing in the morning should they be out of anything?). I was under whelmed by the lack of friendliness from the young lady behind the counter as well. I don’t know if she was out too late last night or if she is just naturally unfriendly, but my wife asked her several legitimate questions and her responses were bordering rude. It was easy to notice the floor hadn’t been swept last night or this morning, it takes all of ten minutes to sweep the floor before you close or open, that is inexcusable! Advertising espresso drinks and then not being able to provide them is not only disappointing(for my wife), but down right misleading. If you are unable to train your employees on the machine(which was our explanation), then remove the signs from the establishment! This is just plain old common sense. Don’t advertise something you can’t provide! You are also billing this establishment as a higher end donut shop, but the donuts are being served on tacky cheap paper plates? Seriously? Do I even have to explain what is wrong with this picture? The establishment also provides some comfortable chairs, but either they were too low or the tables were too high for most people(my suggestion buy lower tables). Enough of the bad … now for the good. The wife ordered a pumpkin spice and a maple old fashion donut while I ordered a Hello Kitty and to satisfy my sweet and savory side a chocolate bacon bar. (damn someone took a bite out of my bar! LOL!) My wife liked the pumpkin spice, but didn’t like the whipped cream in the middle, but she loved the maple donut. The Hello Kitty is great for kids, nicely decorated and has an excellent vanilla flavor. The chocolate bacon bar uses premium chocolate(as advertised), you can tell not only by the taste, but by the look. It has the darker look, while most places use a chocolate that is lighter and most of the time won’t stay on the donut. The bacon was crispy and good, giving it a good sweet and savory combination. The donuts are definitely superior to what other donut shops are selling. The business has excellent potential, but there definitely some issues with customer service and staffing which need to be worked out before this establishment can truly call itself a high-end donut shop.

3.5 actually as an all-around score My Unilocal friend Kelley U. gave such a nice thumbs up and recommendation to this place and then Devilicious was so great at Downtown Disney Dine Around Unilocal event, I’ve been wanting to go there and it was finally time. Donuts are 4 star plus, depending on your own individual taste. I really liked the pumpkin, wasn’t a fan of the whip cream on top, but loved the plain old maple old fashioned. Unfortunately there are some issues that should be addressed and fixed.(1) dirty, a sweep and mop of the floors is a good thing.(2) Lavazza espresso drinks advertised but that does not exist (3) unfriendly staff, specifically the young lady working last Sunday morning, when I asked about why no drinks as advertised, she said the machine was in back, but that high schoolers were unable to be trained and then actually stated that the owner wasn’t really interested in doing that! WTF? (4) the concept of Devilicious Donuts comes across as more high-end trendy, don’t serve your donuts on a cheap thin paper plate, invest in some pottery and mugs. If you are paying by credit card, which they do take, they do have a modern system and you sign with your finger on an i-pad type machine. Overall, I will definitely be back, just not sure I will be staying and relaxing.

I’ve been to Voodoo and this is as close as I think we’re gonna get down here in the OC folks! First off, it’s a nice cute vibey place. they have some big comfy chairs and a funky mural on the wall. We tried several doughnuts and all were super good, esp the maple bacon and the peaches and cream(yum!). The only one I didn’t care for that much was the Pina Colada as the pineapple tasted a tad artificial. We went at 8pm on a Monday and there was no line and a pretty good selection remaining. You def want to note that they don’t carry all their doughnuts everyday so call ahead if looking for particular one. Unfortunatley for us, my friend wanted to try the glazed doughnut burger but they were out of glazed doughnuts so no dice on that one for her. The girl at the counter was super nice about it though and apolgized profusely. They also have a Rewards program(free) which seems worth it if you’re gonna make this a regular haunt. ;-)

Location is great. Décor inside: trendy and cool… from the outside, the windows are dark tinted so it makes it looks like an adult bookstore. I would suggest to the owners to have more natural light come in and make it look more welcoming from the outside. The signs on the outside say they make organic, all natural donuts made in soybean oil. Interesting! The donut selection is unique and different! Everything from cereal on the donuts, to nutella, to m&m’s. I chose their donut of the day which was some old fashion looking donut with vanilla frosting. I have to say it was pretty good! It tasted fresh, soft and pillowy. The frosting was just right. If you are a donut lover, this place is a must try. I believe on weekends they are open 24 hours.

OOOHHHH — Donuts! Devilicious Indeed! Fiave Stars! So my Unilocal buddy, Kelley U., met me for dinner and surprised me with a tupperware full of donuts from Devilicious Donuts! S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G. The first donut was the long Maple Bacon donut. I’ve always seen this on TV, but never bothered to try any because I’m not a big maple fan. I AMNOW!!! This long 6″ bad boy is layered with a thick maple glaze and topped with a huge chunk of thick bacon! YUMMYGOODNESS! The bacon was *smartly* cooked by baking it. It was thick and had a wonderful levels of savory and consistency crunch that had enough elasticity in it. It complimented the sweet maple glaze that smothered the donut. One bite into the tender donut, I was sold. YUM! Grade: A-. [Note to owner]: Consider baking the bacon with bits of rock sugar on top to give an added layer of texture to the donut! The second donut was the pumpkin donut. Fall has arrived, and this donut taste like you are eating a moist pumpkin pound cake. Heavy and moist deliciousness! Flavors were very well blended together. Grade: A-. Mooooove over all you policemen goofing off from the job and standing in line, I want another chance to get more donuts from Devilicious Donuts!

Rum Pina Colada, Hello Kitty, pumpkin cake and Grave donuts. Those are just to name a few of the new gourmet donuts being currently featured at Devilicious Donuts. These are definitely not your average Winchell’s variety. With the gourmet ingredients and innovative flavors, these are fun donuts to give to your friends and coworkers. The Rum Pina Colada is a raised donut filled with rum-infused cream on top of pineapples. It is topped off with glaze and coconut. Boy, this thing is decadent. More like a fancy dessert than a donut, but oh so good! Grave donuts are a cake donut topped with Oreo cookie and a gummy worm. Many kids I know will be excited about this one. . Fans of Hello Kitty will be excited to see the cute new donuts. They taste as good as they look. They cake donuts at Devilicious taste much richer and less greasy than a traditional donut because of the higher quality ingredients used to make the donuts and the oil that they choose to fry in. They actually taste more like cake. There is something for everybody here, cake or raised donut lovers alike. If you don’t feel like being adventurous and trying a gourmet variety, you can order a traditional donut here also. But since you only live once, you gotta try something fun and different, get one with bacon or one slathered in Nutella. You definitely won’t find anything like these unique gourmet donuts anywhere else in Orange County, I guarantee

The blueberry donut with lemon glaze and whipped cream is excellent. I love the slight tartness of the lemon and the sweetness of the cream — they go great together. The maple bacon bar was yummy. I really enjoyed the crunchy texture of the bacon. The red velvet was a disappointment as I didn’t really taste anything red velvety about them. The nutella donut needed more nutella. Overall, this is a cute store with some promising donuts. At $ 3 a donut, they are expensive so I’d stick with the blueberry donuts to make sure I got my money’s worth in taste.
