Best ice in town. Decent burger, Fountain drinks are always great from here. But in the summer, the milkshakes are warm and melted, disgusting. Bleh.

3 stars for Sonic. I love their HH for drinks. The cherry limeade slush is great. Service can be slow at car hop stations and they have difficulty splitting the check when you pay credit card at the car hop machine. Whats up with the bathroom situation here? You have to get the car hop to unlock it and then it locks behind you and locks again when you come out. I can tell that this system of unlocking the door every ten minutes is aggravating to the employees. It is in a clean area, its not like homeless people are trying to come in here.

I ordered the spicy jumbo popcorn chicken combo meal with tots, my husband ordered the double bacon cheeseburger combo meal. The food was okay, not great but not rancid. My spicy jumbo popcorn was cooked well but completely lacking in any seasoning whatsoever. As in, not even salt. The service was frustrating, they kept getting the order wrong and trying to say that we had ordered specialty drinks when we hadn’t. The most disturbing thing about this place was when we had finished our meal we had about ¾ of our drinks left so I removed the lids and saw what looked like dirt and debris floating in my lemonade and his sprite. I was grossed out and decided to dumb the rest down the sink. When I had I saw even more dirt and debris left in the cup. DISGUSTING! Upon closer inspection some of the debris looked like tiny bits of hair, like what I sweep up after getting a haircut. NEVERAGAIN will we go to this place.

Years of watching tv and seeing all those Sonic commercials I always wanted to try Sonic but for some reason they’re only in south OC, a couple of days ago I finally get to try it. After that visit I can see why they don’t have any Sonics other then those in the OC. First off, it was around lunch time but maybe 3 cars so they weren’t that busy from dine in, drive in, or drive thru. I ordered an #4 bacon cheeseburger toaster and they gave me a completely different burger. They gave me an chibatta chicken sandwich, that’s not even from the same animal how can they mess that up. I rang the bell and told them about it and eventually got the correct burger but they still messed it up. The #4 was suppose to have one onion ring in it but they forgot that while making it. They say third times the charm but I didn’t want to see how they would mess it up again in a 10 minute span so I just ate it how I got it. After wanting to come here for a long time I was completely disappointed from the whole experience. The only good thing was the service from the car hop, at least that is one good thing.

This Sonic is across the street from Hero’s Baseball park, so we hit it after a late night of practice with 3 boys in tow. We ate at Sonic’s outdoor seating(they don’t have any indoor) and it was disgusting. The tables were sticky, bits of trash were all around and looking down at the concrete showed a blackened goopy mess that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since it was built. When the food came out, none of the lids were seated on the cups and invariably one went over and the lid didn’t stay on, splashing soda everywhere. My wife and I both ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and we agreed that the chicken was bland & chewy and the bun was a damp clot of tasteless bread — hands down the worst chicken sandwich ever. On the upside, the boys got the boneless chicken wings which were passable, if not forgettable. So nope, this place is NOT worth a return trip.

What can i really say. This place fails at execution. Its overly priced for literally cafeteria food. Theres only two things youd come here for. 1)the experience of eating in your car. Brought to you 50’s style. 2)and the shakes and drinks. Other than those two. This place is over hyped.

Every single time I go here, I get the worst service possible. The drive through or ordering over the speakers is a nightmare. Every time it takes over 30 minutes to get a single item. I would not recommend going to sonic. The food is really not that good, just greasy potatoes. Honestly, you should rather go to Carl’s Junior a little way down the street!

To give you a point of reference… this is my very first 1 star review to any business. I haven’t even written a 2 star review. I’m a pretty tolerant person when it comes to writing reviews and usually chalk up a bad experience to bad timing and give a business the benefit of doubt. Can’t do it this time. This 1 Star review was very well earned… This was my first and last visit to this Sonic. Always wanted to go here… I drive by all the time but have not stopped. Today I gave them a shot, and regretted it. Pulled up to a parking spot, asked them to unlock the bathroom for my son, and placed my order. Girl on the other end was in too much of a hurry to listen, so she totaled me and said thank you but missed half the order. So I press the call button again, and she comes back. Placed the rest of my order, and then reminded her that my son was still waiting for someone to come out and unlock the bathroom. She said someone would be right out and then rushed off again, but at least got the order. A few more minutes go by… still no one has come out to unlock the bathroom… my son is about to pee on the outside wall and looks inside to see them all standing around in there trying to avoid eye contact with the customers. I button her again and remind her he’s still waiting for someone to unlock the bathroom. She comes out… seemed annoyed with humans who have bodily functions… opens the door for him,…and scampers back inside behind the safety of the locked door. Meanwhile I notice several cars have come and gone, receiving their orders even tho they all ordered after me… 10 minutes have passed… no food…15 minutes… no food…20 minutes… no food… So I button her again. I now have no time to eat before I have to leave to pick up my other car at the shop. She apologizes and says it’ll be right out… I hear the lady two spots over button her and ask what’s up because she’s been waiting for 20 minutes… for a large coke. The coke lady spots one of the runners jogging by and wrangles her to go in and see why it takes 20 minutes for a coke to be jerked. Me and the coke lady commiserate over this clown circus, and the girl she wrangled comes back out with her coke and then runs back inside. A few more minutes go by so I button her again… yes it’s on the way… A few more minutes go by so I wrangle a runner and tell her it’s been nearly 30 minutes and ask her if she can check on my order which has not come out yet. She jogs back inside and a few minutes later comes out with my order. My son and I leave so we can pick up the other car at the shop. He set his Sonic shake on the roof as he was getting in the car, and forgot it was up there. He drove away and it hit the street behind him. When we got home I jokingly asked him if he was sad he lost his milk shake. He said, «It wasn’t very good anyway, so… no loss…» Now I look at the rest of the reviews here and can confirm without a doubt in my mind, or even a droplet of remorse, that this Sonic is deserving of my first 1 Star review.

Looking at my profile you can see I give 5 stars out a lot. I like to think of myself as an optimistic person and theres not a lot that’ll piss me off but this Sonics. oh man… it has made me lose hope for all humanity. The first time I ever came here was with my boys after homecoming last year. After an eventful night we were famished and didn’t wanna go to Denny’s like all the other tools so we opted for Sonics and BOYWASTHAT A MISTAKE. We ordered 4 large Slushies and had to wait 30MINUTES. Like… WHAT??? WHY??? YOU’REBLENDINGICEANDADDINGFLAVOR. There was literally only about 7 other people there besides us. Regardless this wait didn’t bother us that much since we weren’t in a rush and we were just hanging out and talking in the car anyway so whatever. The second time was just last week. Me and my friend decided to stop by for the happy hour(½ off slushies) between 2 – 5 pm. We got there at 1:51 and I asked if I could get the deal now instead of waiting that 9 minutes and the guy over the mic said«No you habe to wait», and yeah okay I get it, policy is policy, so instead of waiting me and my friend just order 2 vanilla milkshakes(both regularly priced). And of course my patience is tested once again and I had to wait another 30 minutes for out drinks. What the f**k Sonics. Yeah okay i get it, making a milkshake isn’t has easy as making a slushy but COMEON. 30MINUTES??? I’m giving this place two stars because despite the long wait times, the drinks were pretty good and you know what the sad thing is? I’ll probably be back for another shake.

I will never eat here husband and I waited 30 minutes for 2 shakes, 2 sandwiches and 2 fries. We asked if they had mint flavoring for mint oreo shakes and we’re told yes. We got oreo shakes they decided to make even though we ordered something else rather than checking if we would like something else. Our fries and sandwiches were cold and greasy. We both got food poisoning and called out of work today.

Food was ok. We parked and ordered and it then took almost 40 minutes for our food to come(1 cheeseburger combo and extra order of tots). Our order was first given to the car next to us then took longer to remake it. She first collected it from the other car and came right over to us to give us the food. I had to tell the lady to make sure she isn’t giving us the same food they just gave the other car that he had for 5 minutes touching before he realized he had the wrong order. Not sure we will be going back.

I am generously giving this location two stars, because once in a while they get my order correct. We were so excited when this place opened up. A Sonic in South Orange County! Sadly, I have had more not good experiences here than good ones. At first I kept giving them chances because they were newly opened. Seven years later you’d think they got their crap together. Now, I only go there once in a while because I have a big family and the happy hour drinks are a good deal. I have had my order messed up here so many times that I don’t even order at the drive-in stalls anymore because it’s easier to get your order fixed at the drive-thru window. I have had cold tots, cold corn dogs, missing items, completely wrong items, and once I pulled in to get a quick breakfast and they were closed because someone forgot to show up. I’m pretty sure that this place is run entirely by teenagers. The customer service is pretty terrible. They have always fixed it when they messed up my orders, but often they aren’t exactly happy to do it. I’ve called corporate a couple of times and was promised some coupons but never received anything. Which is fine because I’d honestly rather go elsewhere anyway. The only reason I still go here occasionally is the happy hour drinks, and the occasional late-night milkshake, although last time we went for milkshakes they were out of ice cream. Go here at your own risk.

Recently gotten a tonsillectomy and I’ve only been craving blue coconut slushes to ease my pain. I found some strange particles in my slushes recently and made me feel even more sick to my stomach. This business should be shut-down. I’ve had nothing but extremely bad experiences at this place. Last time I attempted to order here was last January. I live so close to this location and continuously avoid it due to bad service. Man, I have driven by this place hundreds of times since last January and no matter how hungry I was, I refused to even think about stopping here. Well, 11 months later, my assumptions were correct. Not a single thing has changed at this place. This location truly gives Sonic Drive-In a bad name. It’s the day before Thanksgiving; we’re all busy getting things done before family gathering tomorrow. We were doing a lot of errands and decided to stop here to get food. I was very skeptical from all past experiences with this place, but decided to try it again earlier this evening. A total waste of our time. We pulled-up to the drive-in, ordered a few items and waited, and waited… and waited. 20 — 25 minutes passed. I pressed the button and the rude dude came on saying«hold on». He came back on the intercom only to ask what we would like to order. I told him that he took our order nearly 20 — 30 minutes ago and we have not received it. He told me(with attitude) that there are only 2 people working. I don’t care what their problem is. I’m the paying customer and I want what I pay for, nothing more, nothing less. As the customer, I don’t need to hear about their problems. I’m paying Sonic for a product and service. It’s not the other way around. A minute later, we decided to cancel the order. I pressed the button and the guy came on again. I told him to cancel the order and refund me immediately. He asked us what our order was! Un-effing believable. I told him to figure it out himself. I am not the one being paid by Sonic to figure this crap out. He said I was refunded. I then demanded they bring me proof of the void. I no longer trust this company or its employees and there’s no way in hell I was going to leave without the void receipt. 5 to 10 minutes later, a woman brings the void receipt. The most unacceptable issue at this place tonight was the fact that many people(cars) lined up in the drive-thru line long after we arrived and ordered our food, yet they got their food and were gone long before us. I really don’t get it. Are businesses trying to lose money for tax purposes? It seems like most business nowadays are trying so hard to lose customers; and, they’re definitely succeeding at it. Service across the board is nonexistent. I could barely count on one hand a restaurant that provides superior customer service; can’t even find a place with average service. There simply isn’t customer service any longer. Issues can happen anywhere, but it has become the norm for places not to have a clue how to rectify a situation. They don’t even know how to acknowledge and address the situation. Tonight’s experience proves that. Tonight’s experience was a total flashback of the last experience last January. Identical to the dot. Sonic Drive-In Corporate Headquarters in Oklahoma should be paying much closer attention to all of the bad reviews. When the same issues are voiced over and over again, corporate should take action against the franchise owner(Mr. Wesselink of Coast To Coast Commercial) and see to it that they implement policy and procedure and follow it to the T. I’m quite certain Sonic Drive-In has set proper operating standards for all franchises and it is obvious such standards are not being followed at this location. This franchised location is seriously missing the mark. It’s obvious that management is well-aware of the ongoing issues. It’s clear from numerous identical Unilocal reviews dating back years that issues such as extremely long waits and cold food are not new and have never been addressed or resolved. Wow, 2 places in one day with extremely poor service. Forget it. I’m cooking from now-on; even if I don’t get home until 11:30PM. Never returning to this place… ever.

OMG! First time here thinking how cool get your food in a tray that hangs from your car window… NOT !! You order at some drive up parking space, pay right there. Fast service. The server brings it out to car and hands you the food n drinks so basically the concept went out the window … «Literally«!! My son ordered a plain cheeseburger and I ordered a classic crispy chicken sandwich with tater tots. The food came and guess what? No «hamburger patty» in the«cheese burger«…Yes, that’s right no burger! The chicken sandwich was dry and disgusting! All for $ 13 buck with 2 drinks which was about the only think O.K. Go to «in-n-out» for that! Awful!

I ordered popcorn chicken, and just a few minutes later out came Ryan: popcorn chicken in one hand, happiness in the other. Thanks for all you do Ryan, much love. I ordered the Footlong Quarter Pound Coney & Tots for $ 5.18 The Hot Dog was delicious, the Chili was great and the Cheese was excellent. The Tots were crispy and very good. An All-American Meal from this Drive Thru.

I ordered the Asiago Crispy Chicken Club which was good, but very small given the price at $ 4.79. My hubby liked their hot dog combo for $ 4.69. It took us about 20 minutes to get our food after we ordered which seems a little on the longer side for a fast food joint. My sister, being a vegetarian, ordered the grilled cheese and added lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion for only $ 1.49! They don’t have any other vegetarian options. She liked her sandwich, but that’s mainly due to the extra toppings she added. I think the best part of Sonic are their shakes. so many varieties. It’s cool to see the servers come to the car in roller skates. I know I would have a hard time balancing holding all the food AND having wheels on the bottom of my shoes!
