Celsius Tannery

Not a bad little place. The location I went to had two different spots in the same strip mall. The first time I went, the girl put me in a 10 minute bed for all 10 minutes. I asked her if she really thought 10 minutes was a good idea since I am a pale person and I told her I hadn’t been tanning in a while. She said I should be fine. After 8 ½ minutes I knew I was burning and got out. I was quite burnt :(So she clearly didn’t know what she was doing. Not a good start.
After that, I tried to High Pressure bed and the Fusion bed. I had much better experiences with these. So tanning wise, not a bad place. They have a variety of beds and their prices are pretty reasonable. The staff were nice if not a bit disinterested. I asked about joining the clubs to a couple different workers and they each pulled out a large, laminated table. On one hand, they certainly didn’t pressure me to join. On the other hand, I could tell they couldn’t care less if I did either. So. I gave this place 3 stars because their equipment is good and clean. Their facilities are nicely kept. The workers aren’t the brightest or friendliest but then I did go there to tan, not to make new friends. It’s a tanning salon, not a spa. With that in mind, I’ll probably go back.

I hate this tanning salon. I’ve lived many different places, and been to many different tanning salons, and this is the worst one I’ve ever been to. The building they’re in doesn’t reek of cleanliness or moderness, they sell by the minute instead of by the session, but the worse part is the customer service.
Every time I went in there, I was pressured to buy more minutes, purchase an expensive lotion, or upgrade to a more expensive bed. Nobody ever bothered to learn my name or ask how my session was.
I buy my lotion online. I understand that tanning lotion has a shelf-​life and when you buy online you don’t know how long it’s been sitting there, blah blah blah. I’m happy with where I get my tanning lotion, thank you. As expensive as this place is, I don’t need a lecture from the employees about tanning lotion because I don’t want to buy your expensive sh*t. I’ve never actually felt DEGRADED by a tanning salon before I came to Celsius. Their bottom line is rudely obvious by the way the staff speaks to customers, and it’s clear that customer service is a much lower priority than it should be. It would be one thing if it were just one encounter, but this happened to me every time I went in.
I left minutes on my account because I couldn’t wait to get out of this place.

Everytime I go into a Celsius it makes me smile. Not cause it seems the girls behind the counter have tanned a little too much, or the atmosphere that I walk into. It’s cause I LOVE the smell of suntanning lotion and the feel of the heat on my body. It’s always spot-​less and enjoyable for a quick pick me up of color.

After tanning at several salons in the area, I found out about Celsius through some of the girls that I went to school with. I really loved how much the girls that worked there seemed to know about what they were talking about. I just felt like I was getting a better experience at Celsius than I have had elsewhere. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to tan!

The place is definitely clean, and I really like the beds. I think I’ve finally gotten fed up enough with their sell-​sell-​sell policies to quit this place, though. Every time that you go for an appointment the girls try to sell you a new package, regardless of how many minutes you may have left on what you’ve already purchased. There’s a lways a «lotion of the day» and heavy pressure to buy a bottle because «it’s 30 — 40% of your tan and you’re really just wasting your time if you don’t use one.» I just want a no fuss situation where I can go in, get in and out in 15 minutes and get out. I’m all for a business being successful, but the extreme push for extras is really just obnoxious.
