Update: Terrible. Too salty and too greasy. And the fruit was not fresh. The grapes were all squishy. I’m not sure what happened but I would not consider this food yummy or healthy as I did my prior review.

The people were friendly but the food was horrible. I was looking forward to going here on the recommendation of a friend and the good reviews. You walk in and the ambience is nice. You actually walk up to the cash register and place your order and prepay your food like if you were at a fast food place. You would figure a nice place like this would actually take menus to your table, the waitstaff take your order and pay after you have eaten your meal like normal restaurants. I ordered the French Dip and it was delivered luke warm and actually had an off smell. I immediately took it back and asked for a refund. The lady took a whiff and immediately offered me something else to eat instead of the refund. Sorry but don’t eat at a place that serves food that is spoiled.

Such a cute little café. Met a couple of girlfriends here for brunch and I really liked it. I had the Huevos Rancheros with egg whites and it was light and delicious. We all shared the bread pudding for dessert and it was really good. I’ll definitely be back.

I have been visiting Renee’s of Sharyland ever since it was just a home store in the area that is now a salon. My mother worked at Renee’s during college and I would play behind the counter sometimes when I went to work with her. It’s really a gem in the Valley; wonderfully encompassing a boutique and a café. I would have rated it 5 stars, but all long relationships go through their ups and downs. Most recently, this past weekend actually, I was visiting the location at South Padre with my family. My mother, grandmother and I went into the store with the intention of purchasing items(as we have been loyal customers for eons). The staff was cold and rude, worried about ordering their lunch instead of helping us. I asked to use the ladies room and was rudely told it was for paying customers, not a public restroom. I had been in there for 5 minutes, how did they know I wasn’t paying. Thankfully, the store next stars didn’t have the same policy and my family and I left right away. I’m very sad that a store I was excited to do business with blew me off so coldly. I’ve had poor experiences with the salon at the Sharyland location too. All in all, visit but just be mindful that the staff sometimes just is a little off. Food is always fresh & delicious, we eat there at least once a month. I have hosted many parties and luncheons there and the management is receptive to any needs.

Cute place! Boutique-y café with salads, soups and sandwiches. Nice variety. Also nice desserts. Coffee for the road was excellent addition. Nice to have couple of boutique stores to browse around and look at while waiting…

I adore this place! I have been coming here for years, ever since my teen years. It’s one of my favorite spots to have a light and delicious lunch with my girlfriends. I always order the same dish, which is the chicken stuffed avocado and it comes with fresh fruit and a light croissant with strawberry butter on the side. It is the perfect meal fit for a lady and everything here is so pretty and cute! I love to shop here as well and have found many ideal and unique gifts for friends and family in their cute boutiques. They carry Pandora, Juicy Couture, TOMS, and Hello Kitty. :) Fave!

Came here based on reviews. Really good BBQ. Better than I expected here in the RGV. I had the«lean» brisket. Very lean. Not dry, but not too moist. That’s the price you pay for lean. Sausage was good. Sauce was good too. More vinegar than sugar based(which I like). Charro beans were fantastic. Could have made a meal of that and some cornbread. Will return when next in the valley.

Now ain’t this an adorable little setup?! It’s a café and ladies and young adult/teen boutique all rolled into one, so you know, if you’re ever hungry and bored or you have some time to kill. As you can imagine, there really isn’t much in terms of vegetarian fare from the café because it is Mission, Texas after all. I ended up ordering a chicken avocado salad with a croissant on the side. I focused on consuming the avocado-dense salad and reserving the rest for some lucky omnivore out there. I think perhaps there was one thing that was vegetarian, but not vegan. It’s okay, I didn’t expect otherwise, I ain’t even mad. But the shopping aspect of Renee’s is quite nice! I’m not exactly familiar with the clothing boutique scene in Mission, but Renee’s seems to be adequately stocked with Free People, Tom’s shoes, Pandora Jewelry, and other department store-level brands that you might otherwise only find at the malls. Everything is priced at manufacturer’s suggested retail price, but I think I did spot a few isolated some sales areas. There’s also a tiny smattering of home décor, nothing that might appeal to someone with modern tastes(not that I do, I’m more minimalist because decorating gives me anxiety, seriously, what’s my deal?). Anyway in my limited South Texas travels I have yet to encounter another place like this so I’ll go ahead and stamp it with a dandy four stars.

The café was adorable, good coffee, great desserts. I will not visit the shop portion again, though– the salesperson on duty was unhelpful and a bit rude. It’s too bad – hopefully it was just a bad day for one person, but would hate to think they do that as a rule.

I’m not a fan of chain restaurants and South Texas is full of them. A girlfriend took me to Renee’s for lunch and I was full of glee when I entered this little café. Renee’s is half boutique, half café. The café has an assortment of homemade sandwiches, soups and salads. My favorite is the yummy stuffed avocado chicken salad… it’s to die for! It’s served with a side of fruit, the fluffiest croissant and tasty herb butter. They also carry my favorite tea brand, Forte. The café has an indoor«al fresco» atmosphere and aprox. 10 tables, it’s quite refreshing and cozy compared to the huge restaurants in the area. The boutique is a great place to shop for gifts(and for yourself of course). They also carry Brighton jewelry and an assortment of candles.
