One of my girlfriends got her hair done here & it looked great so I tried it. The first time Tori was overbooked & she rushed through my haircut & instead of a bob I got some jagged edge mishap. She said I could comeback sometime & she’d fix it. She did apologize a lot, she seemed very frazzled at the time so I thought I would try again. I’d seen & heard such great things. The next appointment I set for a color & haircut, they booked me with the wrong girl and I’m telling you I was definitely specific when I set the appointment. I took off from work for this appointment. I was so disappointed. I expected such great things from this place and ended up with THE WORST SERVICE EVER TWICE! I am now telling all my friends & co-​workers & clubs with which I am affiliated, I advise if you want half way decent service, don’t go there. So unprofessional. Waste of time.

As a newcomer to Mobile, I was nervous about finding a new stylist since I’d been going to the same place for years. After reading all the great Unilocal and Google reviews for this place, I decided to check it out. They were able to schedule me an appointment for the day I called, and when I showed up a bit early, they got me right in.
Kat was excellent. She listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, explained everything clearly, and helped me find a cut that would best flatter my face shape and work with my low-​maintenance style. Plus, she was really sweet and fun to talk to. I’ll definitely be going back to TMAC.
They also have a referral rewards program, so if you refer a friend, you both get $ 15 off any service!

If you are wondering about purchasing a Groupon to try this place as a new customer, DO IT. DON’T HESITATE.
I took my mother to TMAC to get a pixie cut. Kat did an amazing job with Tara, the owner, by her side. The great thing about this place is that the whole salon is a team. Tara took her time to make sure everything was done perfectly and gave advise to Kat the whole time.
I personally had a horrible experience at another salon few days before.
I can’t wait to go to TMAC next to get a great haircut like my mother!

I moved here from San Antonio 4 years ago and it has taken me 4 years to find a great salon… and I looked hard! I suffered through many terrible haircuts and color along the way. I totally love Tmac’s and am SO thankful to have found it! Tara listened and completely understood what I wanted! She did an awesome job and I have FINALLY found my salon!

I had my first appointment with Tara this morning and I couldn’t be more pleased. As a man who REALLY dislikes getting his haircut — it was painless. Tara was friendly, interesting to talk to, and most importantly she did a fantastic job. I’ll highly recommend to all of my friends.

I’ve been going to Tmacs for a few months now and I absolutely love it! Its a great place to get your hair done for sure! Angela does my hair and I love every bit of it! I get compliments on it everywhere I go… and I travel a lot with my Job and everyone loves it! I can’t wait for my next sit! If you’ve never been here id advise u to go!

I googled best hair salons in Mobile and Angela popped up. I told her that my hair was overprocessed blond and needed a lot of attention. She said that she was GREAT at what she does and to trust her. Unfortunately I went in to her chair overprocessed blond and left fried brunette. I recently drove to Destin (2 ½ hours) and the senior colorist there made me sign a waiver that she would not be responsible for liability because my hair was so fried. Angela made two horrible mistakes that have ruined my hair: Redken all over color on already overprocessed hair (redken is harsh i found out… Angela put some FREE gloss on it while i was there but when that wore off two weeks later I realized how bad it was). The colorist said that if my hair would have been really thin it would have all fell out when she rinsed it. Second, she used some sort of thinning shears that made my hair frizz. When i took my hat off at Avantegarde people kept staring at me with that pity look (everyone in there had really shiny healthy looking hair). The colorist said that it looked like she just took the shears and started to chop around without looking. She cut off two inches but really 5 or more was damaged from the shears. The stylist said that if I would come back 3 or 4 times she promised that I wouldnt want to cry when I look in the mirror. I actually left the salon with manageable shiny hair. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

I have been going to Tmac’s for a few years now, and have always been more than satisfied with my service. My stylist is Angela, and she always does the most amazing hair cuts and color. The atmosphere is nice, no stuffiness like some other salons have. Everyone is very nice that works there. I love it. I never go anywhere else!

Angela is amazing! I’ve been a customer for almost a year and I’ve NEVER been disappointed. All the staff members are so nice and I love the intimate setting of the salon. The location is perfect just like the service. I recommend TMAC’s to EVERYONE!

Angela did such an amazing job on my Mardi Gras updo!!! I showed her a picture and she perfected it to a T. In addition, she added green feathers in the back for some added pizzazz. She charges a very fair price for her services and I can’t wait to see her for my haircut and highlights. Can’t recommend her enough!!!

Tara and Angela are awesome. They are full of amazing ideas and are very receptive to what you want. My hair always looks wonderful when I leave. They also tint eyelashes, eyebrow waxing, makeup, etc. Love them!
