I specially go here to get my kids play Clothes mostly from Justice, Gap and Target…(I won’t get any other brands for them just the good ones) lol
Also this is where my girls get all

Bad, Bad Bad customer service. A salesperson was putting items out and one thing was not priced. When we asked her, she snapped we have to ask at the register. Ok, when we got there it was the same girl so we asked again and she said you must ask a manager and pointed at an older woman by the door. This girl was Nasty and we will not go back. Prices are ok, but a lot, repeat, a lot of stuff is not in sellable shape and should be tossed out. Overall, not worth the trip at ALL!

I love this place!!! They have good inventory on everything and anything. Their prices are decent on some things are overly priced on other items. Staff are nice and they are everywhere if u need them :) wish they restrooms were kept up a little more. And they didn’t raise their prices so much on random stuff. Overall it’s a good place to shop

Top Two most favorite Thrift Store in Modesto!
I have been a loyal customer to Buy Rite since their original location on Tully Rd when I was a little girl. They have much improved since then. I love their student discounts on Wednesdays that give you 20% off when you show them your student ID.
They clothes are organized by section of children’s, men’s, women’s, and antiques & by size of small, medium, large, extra large, etc. Shoes are throughout the store a long with pretty much anything you can imagine (or can’t even imagine) from books, vases, cups, artwork, handbags, furniture, cooking utensils, tools, and more!
This place is know as the best place to go to purchase your ugly sweaters for the holidays but most of the time I just rock the «ugly» sweaters =) Has a fitting room that they would like for you to try on your clothes and take advantage of the electrical outlets because they have a no exchange or refund policy.
Clean for the most part. Use the restroom only if you really need to!
If you hold an item– they give you 24 hours. Furniture: if you purchase it but need to bring back a bigger vehicle, they give you 48 hours to do so.

Best thrift store ever! It is a clean place with a great selection. The clothes are actually sized together and not just thrown in one big lump.

This place has been the most unprofessional place I have ever worked at. I have dealt with sexual harassment from customers and none of my bosses did anything. I have been talked down too in front of other coworkers saying that «I suck «or «get your shit together ». This place has also put my money under a closed account so I couldn’t get it until a month later, I will never shop here anymore this place is just ghetto and they have no respect for anyone. It may look nice inside but behind closed doors they are the most unprofessional, ghetto, and disrespectful place I have ever worked.

gross went into the dressing room and there was a cockroach on the chair, so need less to say i wont be going back.

The store is a lot bigger than it appears to be from the outside, but it’s still relatively small. Very little housewares in comparison to other thrift stores and most of it was in their little boutiquey area where the bric-​à-​brac was priced unreasonably high. A little dingy and funky, but I personally like my thrift stores like that.
The day I went they had a pair of nondescript Harry Bertoia Knoll Diamond chair knockoffs that were in bad shape — lots of the enamel was chipping off and no original pads — and they wanted some $ 800 for them because they saw a pair on Etsy/​Ebay (they had the online listing printed out and attached to the chairs) going for the same amount. What they failed to admit to was that the pair online were in WAY better condition and selling for retail price because someone had purchased them, so they needed to make their money back. No one donated them.
All in all… a good periodical skimmer thrift store.

A very large thrift store. Lots of name brands and sprinkled with vintage finds as well. Huge selection of clothing. Some furniture, toys, collectibles, purses, books etc.

Best thrift shop in Modesto. Perfect place to find something new to add to your closet, find a costume for Halloween, Cosplay, or even for a play. Insanely cheap books. Relatively cheap clothing. Not exactly the cleanest of store (they have a lot of dust bunnies), but it most definitely something I can look past since this place is seriously the best. I have gone to other local thrift stores and none compare to Buy-​Rite.

I can find great things here, things I didn’t even know I wanted… Haha. But the prices are great… They have a lot of «stuff» and alot of clothing… So you have a pick of it al.l. I will continue to come here even if it takes me 30 Mins to get there.

I’ve only been here once but it was a total shock to me when I saw a basically NEW jogging stroller for only $ 20! Best believe I plopped my baby in it right then & there and bought it! lol. Looked like they had some other great deals. It was super crowded so that alone has to tell you something! It was nice to go into a second hand store and actually see things at a second hand price. I’ve been into others (goodwill, ect.) and you’re better off just spending a few bucks more and getting it new. But, here it was NOT the case; Everything was super cheap inside!

Love it here. Seems like they have nicer clothes compared to Goodwill and Hopechest. Prices are about in line with other thrift stores in the area that Ive noticed. Staff is usually busy working hard, I like that. furniture, nic-​nacs, jewelry, movies… they got it all Will continue shopping here for a long time

2 stars for cheap prices and decent clothing that aren’t too outdated. They have issues with their credit/​debit machine every time I go in they have to swipe it twice. They swiped my card and the machine didn’t work. I paid in cash and kept the receipt because I had an odd feeling. Anyway the charge appeared on my card. I took my bank statement and my receipt and I went in to talk to the manager on duty. I spoke to Pete who was the shift manager and he gave me a phone number to another woman who took care of their accounts. I called and she told me that I needed to dispute it with my bank, so I did.

Wasn’t all that impressed. I was expecting a bigger store I suppose and more variety of items. Okay for what it is. I doubt I will be back though.

Don’t believe me? Let me ask you — how many 39 cent items do you have in your cart? Did you use your 50% coupon from the newspaper? Have you used your student ID for a discount? How often have you come in and found an item marked down, again, making the price more appealing?
This is a thrift store you can visit every week and find new stuff.
IN FACT, i have to try NOT to visit every week.
The dang place is like Costco, I come in wanting one item and end up spending $ 30 bucks (that’s the equivalent of $ 100 at Costco).
The supervisors were receptive and polite when I’ve had issues. They have tons of employees continually restocking.
Pro Tip: Keep your kid with you. they don’t let kids walk around by themselves.
Pro Tip 2: The middle glass case in the «nice» section is for the expensive pieces.

My favorite thrift store in town. I can kill 1 to 2 hours in here. Awesome stuff! Their prices are decent. Once in a while, I’ll laugh at a price of an item because it’s new with tags, but other than that, I can’t complain. Their clothes are organized by size and I like that. Everything is priced. The staff is friendly. There are always plenty of cashiers ready to ring me up. My only complaint would be the panhandlers in the parking lot, but that’s not their fault. Coupons in the paper are an added bonus!

Probably one of the best thrift stores I’ve been to in the area. Just moved to Tracy recently and thrift stores there are almost obsolete or aren’t worth going to.
This store was organized with many options for electronics and nic-​nacs. The best part about it was there was no smell. You know, the worn old minging been around a couple decades smell.

Great prices. Great finds. Musty smell. Just gotta look for those hidden gems and you’ve got your unique outfits no one else can ever get.
I love looking at the guy section for cardigans and hoodies.
The big jeans can be cut up into high waisted shorts. The shoes found here have been in such good condition. I’ve found free runs here slightly dirty for 6.99! And slightly used uggos for $ 25! Such good deals, I love Modesto for thrifting. Any other place… pass. It’s like buying used clothes for more expensive than new clothes. Like they all tryna actually be «vintage»

Very rude employees. Have attitudes nearly every time I go in there and check out, they gossip on the floor about one another in front of customers too. Then when their card system isn’t working they have an attitude with me about it, and make me feel like it’s my fault. When management was told about the issue, she made excuse after excuse before apologizing and correcting the behavior of her employees.
As far as inventory and prices I have no complaints. I do enjoy shopping there, I find some great stuff. The employees however do not make the shopping experience enjoyable.
