Fancy Nails

Not a very friendly staff. I went in for a gel manicure. They filed my nails so short they the dark color I got looks a little garish. Absolutely no hand arm massage or lotion. And you pay $ 25! Still not sure for what though.

The ladies in here were very rude to myself and my two friends. Wouldn’t let us sit together because they didnt want to clean one pedicure tub. Then asked if i was ready to go after i had already paid with a tip while my nails were still drying, i said no im fine here thanks, and then she proceeded to put my shoes on and told me bye while i still had wet nails. So i left while my friend was still finishing her pedicure! They werent almost closing and there were only two other customers in the building so they didnt need the space. I have never in my life experienced such horrible customer service. I will never return and will tell everyone i know to never go here. My friends will also do the same.

I came here for the first time to get acrylic and my nails were horrible! They were crooked and too big for my nails. When filling my nails she was hurting my cuticle. My nails were popping out so they did not look natural at all. She was rushing even though there were no other clients. Do not come here.

Amazing place! Definitely recommend this place. Their polish last forever!

Today was my first time going to Fancy Nails & I have to say I was impressed! After a bad experience with the nail salon across town that I’ve been going to for years, I decided to try something close to home. I walked in at 3:30 to a full line of ladies in pedicure chairs. Asked if they would have time to do a pedicure & a full set for me, they said no problem it would just be about 15 minutes. I waited not even 10 minutes & was then given a fabulous pedicure from a very friendly woman. She did a great job cleaning up the dead skin & trimming cuticles, was meticulous in scrubbing any rough spots (lots of those being summer/​flip flop season!) & did a lovely job with the polish. She also massaged my feet & legs for a good amount of time. Mind you, this was the $ 20 basic pedi! Another lady did my nails, at first she wasn’t very talkative & I was almost concerned she wouldn’t do a good job. BUT let me tell you, she opened up & was extremely friendly & did a beautiful job with my nails. I get a full set with gel polish, they charged $ 30 & it was well worth it. She was so detail oriented getting the shape of my nails perfect (I like them oval) & making sure they were all perfectly matching. They close at 5p on Sunday, but she stayed until 6p making sure that the job was done well. I truly appreciate when salons will stay open late to accommodate a later in the day walk-​in. I can say that I will absolutely be going back to Fancy Nails for my next fill & pedi. Fantastic customer service & im very happy with the results.

The ladies that work here are very sweet and detail oriented. As I write this review, my pedicure is almost three weeks out, and not one chip has appeared!
This is my new go-​to for a mani/​pedi while visiting my best friend in Modesto. We used to go to another place, but were turned off on our last visit (moments before we happened upon Fancy Nails). When we requested to have two of their «Deluxe» pedicures, we were told that we were going to get the «Express» this time. Not asked if that would be alright with us, but told. I’m sorry, I do not like being told what to do, especially when I am paying for a service. We thanked them, and left.
Luckily, we found Fancy Nails, and I’m so glad we did! They are nicer, cleaner, and more customer service oriented. We were even offered a beverage!
Thank you Fancy Nails! You have our business now! Five stars all the way!

The most terrible place. First of all the service was slow and terrible, the work was sloppy. The french solar pink and white was nasty, they used so much chemicals that my fingers burned for two days after, I had to go to another nail salon to have them removed and get the nails done properly.

Wife and Mom went and had a bad experience with one of the ladies in there very rude. If you don’t like what she feels is what you should have you get major attitude. They will not be going back!!!

Worse place… No customer service skills. Told me they could do my nails and then said no can’t because we will be closing in 50 mins! All I wanted was a fill are u serious! Never coming here.

Fancy nails gets a 3 from me. I walked in and was helped right away, which was much appreciated. I asked if I could have two shellac colors layered, and that seemed to confuse the tech who was helping me. She had to ask another tech if it was OK. After being seated, she proceded to soak my nails, and then began the customary painful cuticle/​hangnail/​any-​extra-​whatever clipping. This is something that I haven’t quite decided whether I want to skip altogether due to the risk of infection or just continue as my nails last longer and look better after this step.
The tech was quick and efficient, and my nails look great. I love the color, and she shaped my nails well. My main disappointment was the lack of hand/​forearm massage afterward, which is part of the reason I love getting my nails done. Other than that, good service.
Tip: Bring cash for a tip, as credit machine does not have a tip line.

For someone who does not get their nails done regularly, they made me feel very welcome and didn’t harass me over my cuticles. As the only girl in my house I don’t get to go and get mani-​pedis often, but I will definately make an effort to go to Fancy Nails when I do!

High fiiiive Fancy Nails! I don’t care what people say about walk-​in nail salons like this, Fancy Nails is THE BOMB.
My pedicures from Fancy Nails have NEVER chipped and I’ve been going here for 5+ years. I haven’t has as good of luck with manicures but 1. the ladies here are always super eager to fix anything for free, even a few days later and 2. manicures never last, ever. From any salon. Period.
Even though I go here much less often than I used to since I’m away at school, the women here still all know me by name and even ask me about my family (my mom and sisters come here, too). I really appreciate that they get to know their regular customers, because at a salon like this where you go to a different manicurist every appointment they really don’t need to.
They have a lot of nail polish, but their OPI selection is limited (in my opinion, if it’s not OPI, it doesn’t belong on your toesies) so I would definitely bring your own. The great thing about this salon is IF you forget to bring your own polish and you don’t see one you like in their stockpile, there’s a beauty supply store right next door where you can buy anything you want. Love it!

I’ve been told to «never» go to «asian» salons (is that not pc?), but honestly… they’re the only salons with quality and longevity of both pedicures and manicures.
That being said, Fancy Nails is by far my favorite salon, because not all nail salons are created equal, you know. This one is right by my house and being that there are four of us girls in my family, one of us seems to be in there every few weeks and the staff genuinely cares about us and our lives and always asks for updates, they remember our names, jobs, etc — very friendly and welcoming.
Minus a star for not understanding what they say sometimes.
Minus a star for whenever I have to wait/​lack of good polishes so I choose to bring my own (I know, not realllly fair)
Plus a star for flowers on your pedicure! (I’ve only tried it once, but it actually looks way cute)
