Mariscos Colima

Brought my mother here. The environment was a tad loud but that was because of the musicians. One of them was a female with an amazing voice. I ordered the mix mocajete (came with shrimp, chicken and carne asade with melted cheese) side of rice and beans. Mom had breaded shrimp with rice and beans. At the time there was one waitress servicing five tables and she kicked butt. Great service. Mom loved it. Definitely going back.
Plus side… waitresses were very cute… lol.

This place is horrible! If I could I would give this place zero stars. To start off we called in the order at 12:50 and told us the food would be ready in 20 minutes. We got there at 1:30 to find out that our food hasn’t even been made because they were out of chicken. By the way the chicken was horrible not to mention raw. The place was not clean and had a horrible smell. If it wasn’t for being on my hour lunch I would have left and gone somewhere else. The Carne Asada was extremely salty, its been 3 hours since I ate there and I can still taste the salt. On top of that the waitress was GHETTO! She was rolling her eyes and irritated, when I should have been the one upset…
Now let’s talk about the pricing! She decided that she wanted to charge what she was wanted to charge (I guess she knew she wasn’t going to get a tip). A few of us ordered the exact same meal and were charged different prices. She also thought we were going to pay for a dish that wasn’t even made by the time we paid for our food. We ordered Veggie tacos and my co worker didn’t even get her plate.(I’m guessing the lettuce, avocado and whatever else goes on a veggie taco was flown in from France) which resulted in her going back to work without eating.
If you are a male looking for a date, I suggest you eat at this restaurant, the men didn’t have a problem getting there food on time.
Please don’t let this review stop you from going to their taco truck, it’s the restaurant that needs a lot of help.

Talk about a delicious spot. The owners are so nice and they have a wide selection of food. Orders are very well prepared, and the price is on point for the huge portions. I’m not a huge seafood person, but seeing the size of those plates and freshness really makes me wish I was. For the burrito, tacos and torts lovers they have a wide selection, too. If you’re looking for quality food and great price this is your spot. They have a huge outdoor seating area, don’t let the appearance fool you this spot is always packed because locals appreciate the good yummy food. I’ll be back for sure.

Ordered 2 chicken tacos with everything on it. It was delicious and super big! At 2.75 each I can’t complain. The chips were meh but the salsa was good. Our waitress was very pleasant but the food took forever to get on the table & we were the only people in there at that time! What was the hold up seriously???
Above all the food was yummy & price was good too. I would come back. :)

Occasionally I come here during lunch. I like to order breaded shrimp and shrimp tacos, the best. Thats about it other than that I once order a tostada mixta, was pretty nasty. My bf orders coctel colima. Which to me has no flavor. So I would recomend the hot plates of seafood not the fresh ones. The shrimp is like to chewy lol not meatish. Antoher thing is that the lady that takes your order is kind of rude. She doetn welcome you nor say thank you. She just brutally says are u ready. Thats bad customer service to me

I Love this place! Everything they have to offer is cooked and served just like in Colima, Mexico. I’m from Manzanillo, Colima and this place is the closet thing that comes to real authentic Colima style seafood. Good job guys! I will go be back for sure and have the Camaron y Pulpo cocktail.

Amazingly fresh seafood best in town. Gone to all the seafood restaurants in town and this taco truck is by far the best. Toscadas are tall and cocteles are big. Don’t you get it confused with mariscos colimas the restaurant which is 1 star tops. This taco truck is on crow landing by Don Juan foods. Don’t mind the beggers the food heavenly

My visit to Mariscos Colima was very unpleasant! If I could give this place zero stars I would! Anyway, I’ve been to many seafood restaurants and this is the worst of them all! I will never go again! Not only were the chips way over salted but the shrimp cocktail I ordered had the most disgusting flavor and the shrimp did not look normal they looked exploded, possibly stomped on! I immediately lost my appetite and had the waitress take the full shrimp cocktail back. We were still charged for this distasteful shrimp cocktail! My shrimp cocktail looked nothing like the above photo!

This place is a diamond in the rough. I ordered the Torta Cubana and was pleasantly surprised by the price ($ 5.75), size, and flavor. This is one of the most clean trucks I’ve seen.
Tortas there are huge and everything is fresh and in perfect condition. I haven’t had anything so far that I haven’t liked, it’s one of those places where you stare at the (well done) pictures of their various dishes and plan your weekly schedule around your top choices. If that makes any sense.
I always review the salsa, which I consider to be a deciding factor in my reviews, and this place takes high marks. Being a primarily Mexican area of the state, every salsa was nice and spicy instead of the classic «3 mild salsas and one spicy one» in more metropolitan areas. Each salsa had it’s own flavor and the perfect amount of spice. Make sure to ask for a few salsa containers if you order to go, there’s usually 5 types out at any given time.
