Food is great, steak tacos are amazing, and the service is always great!

Best Mexican food in the qc. Reasonable pricing, great portions and absolutely delicious food. salsa is nice and spicy, just how I like it. Honestly, had most of the menu and can’t go wrong with anything. Saturday morning Chillaquiles is a staple!

The food has always been great for me when I’ve gone. It’s not too pricey and I love that I can order over the phone and come to pick up my order when I don’t feel like getting out of my work clothes and just want to eat in for the night. I’m a picky eater but I’ve always been able to find something on the menu to enjoy. The service has been decent whenever I’ve ate there as well. The only complaint I’d have would be that sometimes ya have to wait a bit to get your check when you’re ready to leave but being that it’s a small place with limited employees I totally understand the wait.

Always great, not a bad meal yet and I have been here multiple times. Great servers and the cook will even come out and chat if you ask.

Came in for breakfast but wasn’t sure what to expect having never been here. Long story short, our server/bartender Jenny was great. Having a friendly and efficient server makes all the difference. The food was good and filling. A very good experience overall.

Stopped in for lunch today and was really impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food. Good value for the portion sizes and the waitress was very attentive. The chips were crunchy and the salsa was delicious with a little zip to it. The tacos were overflowing with fresh ingredients, not greasy at all. I’ll be back next time I’m hungry for Mexican food, sorry La Flama.

If I were just reviewing the food I might rate it a little higher, maybe 3 stars. The food was very average. Certainly nothing special. But the margaritas my parents ordered were horrible, and the service was marginal. The margaritas cost $ 7.75, nearly as much as my taco dinner, and were straight out of a machine. None of us tasted much other than the corn syrup mix. Neither the lime nor the tequila were noticeable. Simply awful. For that price, you should get a real one, not some slushy, syrupy slime. The server was pleasant, but not very well trained. Or she was slacking. I’m giving the benefit of the doubt and hoping she is new to the line of work. Her awkwardness did not bother me, but if I were the manager or person responsible for her training I would be mortified. She showed up and plopped the menus on the table and in the same breath asked what we wanted to drink. A moment to look at the menu would be helpful, I thought. Asked about specials she said meatballs were the special, which we had read on the chalkboard. Mom asked how they are served and what they come with. Server picks up the menu and reads the meatball description to us. Too funny! … Again, she was nice, but overly attentive at first, and just didn’t really seem to know how to do the job well. Later, when it was time to settle up, she was absent for quite a spell, though the place was not busy, and we had to go find her so we could pay and go. The food was okay. The salsa was on the hot side of medium, which is fine with me but not most people. And it looked like pureed tomatoes with some pepper flakes in it, no chunks of anything. Something close to straight out of the can. My tacos were good but not great. Asada on soft corn with cilantro, a wee nip of onion, iceberg lettuce, and mexi cheese. Mom and dad both said their respective combo plate and chicken enchiladas were very average. We won’t be rushing back. In the Quad-Cities, La Rancharita is probably my favorite so far. I haven’t been to El Mexicano for a while, and there are some other smaller, divey places I hope to try in my quest to find the best in the area. Las Regias certainly is not.

Food is ok and service is pretty bad. Although it smells good and some dishes look authentic the flavor is not there.

Great food and great prices. Salsa is a bit runny for my taste, but its got good flavor. Full bar is pretty sweet/nice. They definitely are trying to catch some of the late night business from the downtown area. I’ve had their tacos, enchiladas and breakfast burrito. All were very tasty!

This may be my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Their service is great; the staff is very laid-back and friendly. I love the fact that they give you three different salsas, no extra charge, with your chips. All three are delicious and give you a great variety: a regular salsa with medium heat, a salsa verde, and a hot salsa for those that can handle the spice. I have been here many times and have never had a bad meal. My favorite is the Camarones a la Diabla. I always look for this dish everywhere and am surprised to not find it on more Mexican restaurant menus. When the waitress came back with a question from the cook asking if I was sure I could handle the spice I thought it was a joke because I’ve had this dish many times and could always handle the spice. This is by far the spiciest Camarones a la Diabla I have ever had, but the flavor is spectacular! When the cook says the dish is spicy, they mean spicy!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in qc. Pierna tacos are amazing!!! Margaritas are fantastic!!! The tacos are just like the ones down in Mexico from vacation. My only complaint is when we first started going the table salsa with chips was perfectly warm. Lately it’s been a little too hot– if you want hotter salsa you can doctor it up with the hot sauce in bottle… PLEASE tone it down just a tad…

I have been a patron of Las Regias for one year now enjoying the food at least once a week. I have sampled the menu almost in its entirety. It is always consistent. Great breakfast, over easy eggs cooked to perfection. The steak is lean, white meat chicken and tasty pork. The fresh baked goods are a real treat, wonderful bread and divine cakes. My husband loves the horchata. I like the hibiscus water. Not to mention the top shelf bar and drink specials. Do yourself a favor and drop in!

I have to say, I would rather come here for the food than go to La Ranch. The quality of food is better, the guacamole tastes better and they serve Jamaica water(hibiscus tea). If you haven’t tried this, well you have to because no other Mexican restaurant around the Quad Cities makes this so you need to cross this off on your bucket list! The only bad thing about this is that their waitresses are not there when you need them: after they take your order, serve your meal they disappear. The prices are great! The pozole soup is served on the weekends(must try), their steak tacos are mouthwatering delicacies, and skip the pork ones, they had too much fat mixed with the meat. If you don’t mind being ignored after your meal is served then go, the food is worth it even if the service isn’t that great.

Went there at lunch time Sunday March 16th, Started off with chips and salsa, Salsa was HOT!!! took forever to get water… so BEWARE, your face will sweat and you will have no drink to help that! I ordered a steak taco dinner w/beans n rice and my friend just go the steak tacos. The corn shells were not tasty and I ended up pinching off quite a bit of it, I don’t think they are homemade. The steak was not seasoned… Overall hard to completely mess up Mexican food, and I suppose I’d go back if someone else wanted to go, but I’d never go back as if it was my own suggestion. We spent more time waiting on the waitress for water and napkins than we did eating. To be real I went because I got a certificate for $ 2.00 for $ 10.00 in food. It was not busy at all so I am not sure why the service was so bad.

Servers at the location were great. The standard chips/salsa was average and nothing that stood out from others. Main meal was steak fajitas which was disappointing, had about 90% parts non meat just to fill up a plate.

I cannot think of a comparable restaurant in this area. My impression is they have many specialty items I do not recall having seen at other Mexican restaurants and definitely emphasize the Steak. I ordered something along the lines of a Steak Fajita and it was excellent and very reasonably priced. The quality of the meat the use of seasoning was good and the flan was also quite good.

I swear they put crack in the food here: my husband and I have been here 3 times in the last week and a half. When you sit down you will get chips and 3 different kinds of salsa /sauce. The carafe is regular red salsa, but it is on the spicy side. The verde has excellent flavor and the orange-ish squeeze bottle is blow your face off hot and smoky. All are good. It seems like earlier in the week they aren’t quite as spicy as by Friday or Saturday night. You can pretty much pick your meat for any of the entrees. The chicken here is super tender and flavorful. The beans are creamy and delicious. On the weekends you can get pozole. I usually get a taco dinner(chicken) which comes with rice and beans and I always take home ½ of the r&b and at least one of the tacos. Today my husband got a torta and he said it was the best he’s ever had. The bread was freshly baked and slightly sweet. The last 4 or 5 times we’ve been it hasn’t been very busy(aside from the bar which is always full and has a game on), and it makes for quick service! The main room does have an echo(as another reviewer said) but when we’ve been there, there has only been one or two other tables of people, so it hasn’t been an issue for us yet.

Great menudo(beware it is a tripe soup so it’s not for everyone) and hearty burrito that if ordered with carnitas it is definitely a treat! The salsa is very spicy so watch out, most of us ended up blowing our noses! We diluted it with the green sauce.

They have some pretty awesome hot sauce and verde for the complimentary chips. The salsa was decent, but nothing too memorable. I made the mistake of ordering the burrito here, which was okay, but obviously they have better things on the menu. My gf ordered Pollo y Mole, which was a nicely sized chicken with mole sauce. It turns out I don’t care too much for mole sauce, but it seemed good if you’re into that. I am excited to go back and try something else there. Atmosphere was nice, well-lit from big front windows. One room has a lot of echoing going on, though — so maybe some rugs would dampen the sound.
