Schoop’s Hamburgers

The food was great as always. Our server was friendly and paid us just the right amount of attention. I would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that the manager reprimanded 2 employees in front of the whole restaurant. As a manager, I found that unprofessional and rude. Monee location

It was nice to find this gem while staying in Monee during a business trip. The place is really clean with a 1950s feel to it. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I had a chess burger and fries. The burger was so tender it came apart as I was eating it, but that didn’t slow me down! The fries were hot and fresh, crisp on the outside and steamy and tender in the inside. I will remember this place next time I’m in Monee.

First time here and I will be back. Great homemade soup. Friendly staff and a first class burger.

Great soups that never disappoint. The burgers are fresh and tasty. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. Always enjoy swinging by for lunch when I am in town.

I went here in the summer of 2013 on the way back up from Paxton, Illinois (home of Just Hamburgers) to the Chicago suburbs. I can’t believe how good it was!
There used to be a location in the Stratford Square Mall (which I never tried, coincidentally), but my goodness!
I remember I had the chili with onions and it was good. It wasn’t the star of the meal.
I had the «Special Hamburger» with lettuce and tomato. No mayo and mustard to ruin the masterpiece.
Nothing like these «SMUSHED/​SMASHED» burgers. I’d go back. Pretty cheap, too!

I love to have breakfast here. The waitresses are so friendly and give great service, the bacon is thick and crisp, the food comes pretty quickly and is still piping hot. They don’t even bat an eye when my daughter orders grilled ham and cheese with fries instead of a regular breakfast. I know Schoops isn’t usually thought of for breakfast by most people, but you’re missing out if you haven’t tried it.

Huge proportions. Better than the place in Orland park mall. gave it a 4 because I feel like I always wait a bit longer than I should for the food.

Schoop’s has been my favorite since I was little. All the other locations ran out of business, the trip was so worth it. Got my usual: bowl of chicken dumpling/​noodle (best soup ever, and I know good chicken soup) and split a cheese burger with my ma. The burgers are thin, juicy on the inside & middle and the outside was crispy.

I came here with my boss for lunch and I was glad we chose Schoop’s. I ordered a mushroom & swiss burger w/​fries and he tried the chicken club sandwich w/​onion rings. Our waitress was very prompt and kind and brought out our food quickly. I’ve got to say that that was the best mushroom & swiss burger I’ve had in a long time. My boss also enjoyed his meal in spite of having to choose something other than red meat. The whole experience was exceptional, I will definitely be back!

This was the best double cheeseburger I have ever had!!! It was so big and juicy yet crispy! The onions were diced like hotdog onions which is so much better than the rings places usually give you! The fried zucchini appetizer was amazing!!! I wish there was one closer to my hometown! Our waiter was nice!

Great burgers, shakes and service. It is the very same everytime you go in there. We will not go anywhere else.

They make some of the best hamburgers around! Clean restaurant and good service. Oh yeah, don’t forget to try one of their shakes!

I have been to several of their other location by myself and have had great meals. Of course I brought friends and something has to go wrong. I ordered the burger basket. They take a ball of ground meat when you order it and squash it into a burger. The table had a chicken salad, chili dog and a couple more burgers. The food was ok this time. But the service was from hell. Three servers, two tables with people for a total of 8. Six were at mine. Our waitress was about 10 feet away from our table staring at us and talking with the other 2 waitresses. Our glasses were empty. I don’t like to say anything until I have the food in front of me, as to avoid any foreign objects that are not on the menu. The food was delivered and as she walked away I asked for another drink. The pop machine was next to our table. She couldn’t move fast enough to get back in the huddle. But what about the 3 other glases that are empty. I felt like just getting it myself, but there was no one else in the place. Now I know why. Thanks for stopping by, now git out.
